I've been taking Seroquel for 4 years (150mg before bed) and my husband and I want to try to get pregnant in about 6 months. I am willing to try to get off of it completely before I get preganant but i'm terrified of what will happen to me (mentally)and if the risidual seroquel in my body will effect baby. ## Have you talked to an ObGyn about it? They would really be the most knowledgeable about advising you in this matter. It can be very difficult to know how long the effects may last in the body and whether or not there will be danger to a developing baby, but they should have more information on it. They can also advise you on what's safest for you to use while trying to get pregnant and while you are pregnant.

I am taking the antipsychotic Seroquel, what is the normal dosage one should take? ## I take 1400 mgs of seroquel a day is this normal ? ## Although that is way too much for me, its a common dosage amount for some. Alzheimer patients and those with severe psychosis often get 3500 mg and up according to my doc. I was prescribed 50 mg per day 5 years ago for shift work disorder. (an off label use) About an hour later I've got quite the buzz, and sleep well. ## I was told 800mg is the max dosage however I don't know your history. This contains the active ingredient Clotiapine, which is an antipsychotic medication and it is safe in dosages as high as 360mgs a day, so it is difficult to say whether or not there would be any permanent damage done if you took 400mgs. What's risperdal used for. And with purple round pill with slanted E. I was told my husband needs them by his father a crazy guy. He says they are for anxiety. Please help. Does anyone know of someone who has specifically taken this medication for schizophrenia? Was this med. of benefit to them?? a dark blue round pill on one side theres a 5 imprinted on it and on the other side its blank ## Hi rob, The round blue pill with just a 5 on it contains 5mgs of Trifluoperazine; this is an antipsychotic medication. The primary application of trifluoperazine is for schizophrenia. Other official indications may vary country by country, but generally it is also indicated for use in agitation and patients with behavioural problems, severe nausea and vomiting as well as severe anxiety. 2 weeks ago my daughter took an over dose of 40 Risperdol tablets She pulled through but is off balance, from time to time very bad memory most of the time she cannot remember what she is doing or want to say or do, blured visioen even with her contact lenses or glasses and very tired. Is this long term effects or will it improve over time. ## What has her doctor said about it? Risperdal is very potent, so taking that many tablets means she had to have taken a very large amount, thus it is possible that some of the damage may be permanent. Some may improve with time, but there is really no way for anyone on here to say, since this site is not familiar with her medical history and prognosis.

I have bipolar disorder, and I was wondering whether Abilify and Aricept could be used together for problems with cognition: Memory, executive mental functions, etc. ## Only your doctor can decide what is appropriate for you to use. Dr put me on 25 mg for depression. I also take Celexa 40 mg. I was concerned about side-effects but was told not to worry. NOW Dr. says "you need to go off seroquel" after 3 months. I'm finding relief from my depression symptoms and she says I need to get off of it because it increases the risk of stroke by 3 times. Why did she put me on it in the first place? Is there brand new info that has surfaced that has changed her mind in 3 months? Hello. I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). I have suffered from it since I was 6 years of age. My doctor has always had me on Zoloft, but I don't think it's working. He keeps increasing my dosage & it's making me feel sick & irritable. With the Zoloft, I'm taking a seizure medication called Tranxene that's supposed to work like Xanax. These medications put together have made me extremely depressed & anxious. I heard about Abilify & I was wondering if it is prescribed to help Anxiety. Im taking 2.5 mg of zyprexa on a daily basis and want to know if anyone has information on what i should watch out for when purchasing workout supplements.. ## It is kind of hard to say for sure since there are so many types of supplements/ingredients. Watch out for any depressants (such as alcohol), as well as anything which could exacerbate further dehydration. Your blood pressure might also be affected so try to avoid supplements which affect your heart rate/etc. Best bet would be to stick with a natural protein supplement which does not contain fat burning ingredients or anything else intended to mess with your metabolism. i thought i was out and i found a old bottle of seroquel dated by pharamic 8/24/ 2009 to 8/24/2010 can i take it till my new one comes in the mail it takes a week ## You should check with your doctor, or pharmacist to be certain. Most pills do not get dangerous past their expiration date, but they can lose efficacy, so they may not work as well as they did when they were new. Have you consulted your doctor?

tiny white pill blank on one side and the #2 on the other and some wierd imprint like a bow tie shape and three dots ## The closest match I've been able to locate has the imprint "2" on one side with a strange logo on the back. This pill is also white, but the logo is pretty difficult to describe. Some could refer to it as a bundle of flowers or a bundle of shapes.
