a drug for ADHD/Bipolar ## Rispidol is a scary drug that no one should take. They tried to push it on me for Depression. The doctors won't tell you the more severe side effects unless you lean on them, then they'll say it's rare. It made me feel like a zombie. More severe effects include: NEUROLEPTIC MALIGNANT SYNDROME which causes paralysis, seizure, and death: THERE IS NO KNOWN TREATMENT OR CURE. Also TARTIVE DYSCONESIA which causes uncontrolable twitching, especially of the face. Again , no known treatment or cure for T.D, it either goes away on it's own, or is PERMANENT !! My source is the PHYSICIANS DESK REFERENCE {2003]. ## Is this drug the same as Risperdal? ## Yes, they just spelled it wrong. ## Thanks. I have seen this spelling done incorrectly by a prescribing ...

hi everyone i have just been prescribed clorapromizine / currently on 5×1mg lorazapam / + this new medication 25 mg clorapromazine twice daily . is clorapromazine a safe drug to take / symptons gad anxiety avoidance disorder /ptsd panic attacks ## Hi, I doubt a highly potent Antipsychotic like Chlorpromazine will help you feel less anxious. It is one of the older drugs and has some horrendous side-effects. Lorazapam helps your symptoms but Antipsychotics are likely to make you feel much worse. Go back and ask your Doctor why you've been given an antipsychotic when you don't have a psychotic condition. ## Hello, Dave! How are you? Antipsychotic medications, such as Chlorpromazine, tend to be very calming and cause sedation, so that's likely why it was prescribed. Your do...

I was on Espazine 2mg for the last 7 years, but now I decided to taper it off. I've also been taking Imipramine 25mg for the last 7 years and sometimes I took 50mg instead of the 25mg dose. Now I've reached a point where I want to continue Imipramine and completely taper off Espazine. Please comment with any suggestions, if any.

Please tell me if u take it what for your dose and how long for it to work please reply ## Hi Theresa, From what I can gather, Risperdal (Risperidone) is mainly used to treat the symptoms of schizophrenia, but is also prescribed for other types of behavior problems such as mania and aggression. As far as how long it takes to work, the manufacturer reports that it may take up to 2-3 months before you're able to feel the full benefits of taking Risperidone. So while that sounds to me like it would probably be a good time frame to assess how it's been affecting you, your doctor can also determine the duration of treatment you need based on the severity of your symptoms and condition. I hope this info helps!

I was on risperidone from 2002 to 2003 then quit because my dad doesn't believe I'm mental health. I have now started it again in 2011 to present. I am currently on 6 MG and have not had a period for over a year. Has anyone experienced this? I haven't been ovulating either. I want to have another baby and was wondering if I'll start ovulating again. I would quit taking it while pregnant but can't get pregnant while on it. Will it ever go away? Will I ever have another baby? Any advice and experience stories would be great. ## Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? There may be other medications you can take that will allow you to cycle normally to get pregnant. Many of these antipsychotics can throw off the female menstrual cycle, but it usually returns t...

Who is Mr bars ## Hi Russel, How's it going? I'm not sure who "Mr. Bars" is supposed to be or if that was an accidental typo? But looking at the pill imprint of "M R12", this fits the description of a 2mg Risperidone tablet, used for treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. If you want to look it up for verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Mylan, and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 00378-3512. I hope this helps! Please feel free to post back if you have any other details to add to your post.

I tested positive for Cocaine. I take 200mg of Seroquell. I have taken Tylenol pm and Nyquil for my flu. I was wondering can this give me a false reading? I am trying to get my daughter back and they are telling me that I tested positive for drugs when I don't even drink. Please help me. Maybe between the food I have been eating and the over the counter drugs with my prescription could cause this. ## Samantha, Is there any way you can produce proof that you have a prescription for Seroquel? Certain drugs definitely cause false positives. About the over the counter meds you took, I don't think those would be an issue for drug tests. My Mum is diagnosed Parkinsons Dimentia or Lewy Body Dementia. She has been prescribed and has been taking low dose Seroquel (25mg) which dose has been dropped to 12.5mg approx 6 weeks ago. The drugs Mum is on aren't working for her (she is very sensitive to Benzo lines and other drugs) and I'm discussing with her Doctor the feasibility of switching to cholinesterase inhibitor drugs instead. Rivastignmine (Exelon) is one of those drugs but I note it does moderately interact with Seroquel. As Mum is incredibly sensitive to drugs and their effects, I'd rather Mum be completely off Seroquel before commencing something such as Rivastignmine. What period of time would be a safe duration to suggest that the Seroquel would no longer be in her system? ## Approximately 36 hours, but ...
