I am taking Seroquel for a depressive episode that began almost three months ago, gradually increasing the dosage until I have now been at 150 mg. Seroquel xr for the past 24 days. Throughout this time I have suffered severe hangovers from the Seroquel (drowsiness, severe headache, lack of energy). My psychiatrist tells me that these side effects will lessen or disappear as I build up my tolerance to the drug, but now I've gone 24 days without increasing the dosage and the side effects continue. I am taking solely Seroquel xr (not ir) and try to take it as early in the evening as possible, usually anytime from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Do these side effects disappear eventually at the 150 mg. dosage or should I begin tapering off this drug? UpdatedI only take this medication at night PRN but since commencing it the next day I feel like my head is fizzy and I feel light headed and weird, just want to be laid down all the time, is this normal, been on it around 4 weeks now. ## Hello, Sticky! How are you? This is an antipsychotic, so it is very odd to have it prescribed PRN and yes, it will cause those types of side effects, along with weight gain and mood swings. Are you sure this is what you're taking? ## I was under substance misuse services and it was them that recommended it? Anyhow have got to the bottom of it, was on a tiny 0.4 dose of buprenorphine for codeine addiction and I stopped that at the same time, they said definitely no side effects, they lied! found a small white tablet blank on obe side and a number 2 on the other, what is this? ## I'm pretty sure these are perphenazine 2mg, I have a small sum of the same pills, they are an antipsychotic medication used for bi-polar disorder and schizophrenia/schizo-effective disorders. Some doctors (like the i****s that prescribe seraquil for sleep) will prescribe this as a sleep aid as well..I hope this helps, I'm trying to make 100% sure they are perphenazine myself (friend gave them to me 'cause my psychiatrist "forgot" to refill me) but I'm almost positive, he takes the same as I (400mg seraquil and 2mg perphenazine). I will comment again once I'm certain that this pill is perphenazine.
I'm at risperidone 1 mg, due to an acute psychosis. I'm taking drugs since 3 years or so... More or less 1 year ago i was taking risperidone but then i changed drug and after i stopped taking risperidone i had dyskinesia. Now i'm taking again risperidone and i don't have dyskinesia but i think is because dyskinesia goes out when you re-take risperidone indeed some people after they realize they have dyskinesia they restart taking risperidone to get rid of it. My doctor said it's time to go down with drugs because i'm okay. The problems are two: 1) If i decrease the risperidone dose i'm sure i will have dyskinesia because when i stopped the first time with risperidone i had dyskinesia. 2) The dyskinesia will worsen because i can't change drug but just decr...

How about if it (IM inj. Paliperidone Palmitate (Invega Sustenna)) has been stored in a freezer for a few days? Does it lose potency or become unsafe?
