Can I continue taking Sizopin during and after the pregnancy? ## Manisha, According to nih.gov, Sizopin (Clozapine) is in pregnancy category B - meaning that "animal studies have revealed no evidence of harm to the fetus, however, there are no adequate studies in pregnant women OR animal studies have shown an adverse effect, but adequate studies in pregnant women have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus." i have a partially used bottle of seroquel 100mg that expired on 1/15/15. is it still suitable to use? today's date is 3/4/15. ## Hi Jiffy, According to two different articles - one from Harvard University and the other from LA Times, many medications remain good for up to 10-40 years past the listed expiration date, depending on the substance and how it's stored...I don't have a complete list of these exact medications, nor do I encourage taking something that's been expired for quite some time - but seeing as your medication is less than two months old, my opinion is that it should have most if not all of its efficacy still intact. i would like to know the withdrawal symtoms ## Well, drawing from my husband's experience with this medication, I can tell you some of them: insomnia, diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and irritability. ## I've been on Risperidone for years. Having the same s&s as you describe. I feel terrible. ## My son is going through withdrawal symptoms from this medication. He has uncontrolled movements all over his body, and extreme irritability. He will be playing and if something doesn't work the way he wants he will scream at the top of his lungs and throw whatever it is across the room. These are the things I notice. He's not complaining of anything else other than I have also noticed he has had changes in his bowel habit, its harder for him to have a bowel movement la...
what is this pill small white z075 ## Hello, Kenneth! How are you? Can you please double check the imprint? I think that tablet you found may actually be marked ZC75 and, if so, it's manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 1mg of Risperidone. The FDA classifies this medication as being an atypical antipsychotic. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight gain and somnolence.
does it make you flushed or hot? ## Seroquel is classifies by the FDA as being an atypical antipsychotic that's most commonly used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Actually, it usually causes chills as a side effect, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, sedation and weight gain. Are you on any other medications? Have you consulted your doctor?
A close friend of mine has been taking Seroquel for about a year now and I think her current dosage is around 400-600mg/day. This drug was prescribed to her to treat anxiety and for sleep issues. I have spent time with her after she has taken this medication and its horrible. She acts like she is drunk. She has almost no short-term memory and forgets things she talked about just moments before. She slurs her words and becomes rather uncoordinated. And she has no recollection of what she said or did the following day. She has developed such a dependency that she is now taking the Seroquel late in the afternoon, is in bed by 7pm and will sleep for 10+ hours. She has tried drugs like Cymbalta and Lyrica with no effect. From what I have researched, prescribing Seroquel for anxiety is rather...
I would like to know of anyone has used this medication for headaches? ## yes. didn't help me with pain. put me in a stupor and i felt like a zombie. It was prescribed by MHNI ## I have never used it, but yes, I can tell you that it is sometimes used for certain types of headaches and migraines, that have failed to be alleviated by other meds. Since it reacts to brain chemicals, this can provide some relief for people with certain problems causing their headaches. But, just lik the other poster said, it didn't work for them and it will not work for everybody. Basically when you suffer from some condition causing pain, your doctor has to play the trial and error game to find out which med will work best for you, since there is no comprehensive way at this time, even as far as mod...
I have heard that iv drug users use this? If so how would they do it ## Hello, Buggy! How are you? No, not that I'm aware of, anyway. This tablet is manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and they list it as containing 50mgs of Quetiapine, which is most commonly used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
Can a 60mg morphine pill be mixed with SAPHRIS 10MG SUBLINGUAL TABLET, I take two 10mg saphris tablets a day, normally at bedtime. I just want to know if it is safe or not. Please help me with this very important question. ## IF A DOCTOR PRESCRIBES YOU SAPHRIS, OPANA, AND MORPHINE ALL TOGETHER, DOES IT SEEM LIKE THIS IS A SAFE COMBINATION? ## The Asenapine in the Saphris can be used with narcotic analgesics, however, the dosage does have to be taken under careful considered by the prescribing doctor. They do tend to have additive effects, which can increase the risk of central nervous system depression, which can cause lowered blood pressure, lowered breathing rate and lowered blood pressure. Have you discussed this with your doctor? ## hey so there is such thing as a 60 miligram opana? ...
Dear everyone. Yes this pill is commonly used for the treatment of bipolar disorder as well as other antipsychotic illness such as schizophernia and mood stabaizers....I have also used it for trying to get my psyche back on track...But other than one or two post I've seen nothing written about the positive affects it can do for sleep....I've suffered from insomnia for 11 of my 30 years....As well as 300 of trazadone...Yes when put together they work wonders....But without my seroquel and the trazadone alone I was up all night....Yes I admit over ten years I have become dependent on them...While I admit I think it has to do with more with knowing I dont have the pills but who knows? But one thing I will not miss out on is my sleep..So for a pill you can take and sleep the whole n...
That's all it is. Just small, round, yellow and says 20 and nothing on the other side. Anyone? ## @Znorgg, Based on the description provided, I came across two potential matches that are round yellow pills with a "20" on one side and blank on the other. Both happen to be the same medication but are manufactured by two different drug companies. The first is a Zyprexa zydis tablet containing 20mg of Olanzapine, produced by Lilly, Eli and Company. The second is also a 20mg Olanzapine tablet, manufactured by a company called Prasco Labs. Olanzapine is an antipsychotic used for treating symptoms of schizophrenia as well as bipolar disorder. Does this sound like a possibility?
don't take it will kill you or damage you It ruined my eye sight, blurred vision, tinnitus, headaches, falling over, dizzy all from 6 shots of this over 50 side effects and no cure for them ## Hello, Shane! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problems you've had. The FDA lists Risperdal as a very potent antipsychotic and such medications are well known to cause some problematic side effects, in some people that take them. Other side effects may also include nausea, dry mouth, weight gain and sedation. However, the issue with side effects is that they will wear off, they tend to improve over time, as your body gets used to a medication and will also go away, once you stop taking it, though it may take a few weeks. How long have you been off of it?
Based on all the warnings associated with Abilify, some of which can result in permanent impairment or death, why would anyone take the drug, and why on earth give it to a child. There is now a name for every twitch we go through and people are so quick to take a pill to fix every thing that is called life and living. It is not always easy or fun. I am depressed almost every day and I would never consider taking this drug. I fill my days caring for others and try to make myself useful. ## Abilify is an antipsychotic, so it is really only intended to be used for severe treatment resistant cases, it's not intended to be used to treat minor depression, anxiety or other similar conditions. And all medications do carry the risk of causing serious, long-term side effects, or death in rare...
Dcfs is on my case and I have to do random drug screenings. I took Seroquel, will I fail the urine test? What will it show up as? And how long does it stay in your system? ## Seroquel contains the active ingredient Quetiapine, it is most commonly used to treat Schizphrenia and Bipolar Disorder. If you have a prescription for it, you should inform them of this, when you are tested, because it has been known to cause false positives for Amphetamines. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Hey I took seroquel 50mg lastnight and I got to do a drug test in the morning. Will it read a positive result ## I failed my drug test showed positive for amphetamines 5 days after I started taking 300mg per day of SEROQUEL
Just started 100 mg I felt like I was drunk I don't like this feeling will it go away ## Hello, Crashette! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. The FDA does list dizziness and drowsiness as being possible side effects of Quetiapine, along with weight changes, mood swings and dry mouth. However, it should only last about 3 to 4 weeks, it should taper off in severity, as your body gets used to the medication and then go away entirely by around 4 to 5 weeks. Are there any other questions or concerns?
My son takes Saphris for Bi-polar disorder, our pharmacist (rite aid) said it is on back order and can no longer get it from any supplier! Is there a shortage? Or is it discontinued or both? ## Hello, Veve! How are you and your son? I'm sorry that you're having a problem finding his medication. However, I haven't been able to find anything listed with the FDA that there is a shortage or that it's been discontinued. But it's important to note that companies aren't actually required to report them, it is a voluntary thing. Saphris is listed as being an atypical antipsychotic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes, dry mouth and somnolence. Have you contacted his doctor? He might need to have something else prescribed, in the meantime...
Can Seroquel 50mg be taken together with pax 10 mg ## Yes, unfortunately these class of medications (anti-psychotics) do carry the side effect of weight gain. These meds actually slow down your metabolism causing weight gain. If you are using it for sleep which is what a lot of us are prescribing it for, so as to not get you hooked on sleeping pills. These meds side effect of sleepiness is why we use this even if you're not psychotic. Try breaking one in half with a knife and try using just half. Whatever you do if you are taking them every night you DO NOT stop taking this medication before speaking with your doctor first. Abrubt stopping of these meds could cause seizures and other problems you will have to be titraited from the drug if you so choose. It is a good drug for occasio...
Dear Sir Whether intake of 50 tablets 0.25 mg of Anxit lead to death. If so within how many time it will take ## How much intake of 0.25 mg of anxit may lead to death and within how much time ## Anxit is listed as containing the active ingredient Flupentixol, which is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health issues. And that would surely be too high of an amount to take, at once and could put someone's life in danger, but there is really no way to say with any certainty, whether or not it will result in death and, if it does, how soon death may occur. The effects it will have can vary from person to person, depending on their tolerance to the medication, their overall health and other factors. Some people might just get severely ill, while others may go into shoc...

Updated in SeroquelI am takin latuda for bi polar. Can I take lipozene ## @happyturtle, From what I can tell, apparently there are no verifiable ways to check for drug interactions between pharmaceutical meds such as Latuda (lurasidone) and OTC diet pills like Lipozene. But if I were you, I would probably notify your doctor first anyways, since patients are generally supposed to inform the doctor of any additional substances you're using alongside the medication that he/she prescribes you. This is for your own safety. I will say though, that in my honest opinion (not to be mistaken for medical advice), I don't think there would be any complications with taking the two together since they both act on different parts of the body. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?
