Changed pharmacies today and received the 10mg amitriptyline in blue. The first month I used this from the previous pharmacy the pill was pink. Is there any difference in the two? ## Put, pictures of amitriptyline 10mg, in Google. You should see a link to pictures. They do come in pink and blue and other colors. ## @Frankie, If you get them filled from a licensed pharmacy, odds are that the two medications contain the same active ingredients and dosage, but may have different binders/fillers. If you happen to know the pill imprint you can either look it up online or post it here for reference. However, in my own findings, a round blue pill marked with V 2101 reportedly contains 10mgs of Amitriptyline made by Qualitest. And you can view a photo of it by clicking the following National Dr...

Left my paxil at home and I'm on trip. Can I take my wives prozac for a few days or just skip my antidepressant altogether? ## Hello, Chrissy! How are you? It would be best to check with your doctor, because the doses differ from one to the other, even though they are in the same class of medications. My mother is 80 years with Diabetes and BP (Both under control with regular medication) for over 2.5 decades. Added to this she is also a Parkinson patient and is on Syndopa 110 – 3.5 tablets & Syndopa CR 250 1.5 tablets. She has a lot of anxiety as she is physically dependant and expresses a lot of tension / stress particularly when I have to leave for office during the mornings. Her confidence level is diminishing with a fear of falling down. 24 X 7 we have one of our family members attending to her for any physical support including her visits to the rest room. This apart she is also on anti-depressant like Ventab DXT 25 for 2+ years and a regular taker of Lonazep 0.25 (1/2 tablet) prior to taking bath. Lonazep provides her with some comfort & boosts her confidence temp...
I have suffered from quite severe anxiety since losing my mother 2 years ago. I tried many SSRIS which I could not tolerate as I have a 7 and 12 year old to care for and these drugs made my anxiety skyrocket! I have been terrified to try anything else until a couple of weeks ago. I was suffering racing thoughts, physical symptoms and poor sleep and I was desperate. I have been prescribed Mirtazapine to help sleep and also for the low mood/anxiety. I started on 15 mg which immediately helped with my sleep. I had drowsiness for first few days but that went. Because I felt drowsy first couple of days/week the anxiety seemed better and I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. Now however my anxiety is as bad if not worse than before and I feel really depressed. I am seeing my GP to discuss a...
I was on citalopram for nearly a year. They seemed to be working just fine for a while and then I noticed a gradual yet shocking change in my thinking and feeling. I had severe mood swings that could last for hours, days or weeks. I though more and more about killing myself and that no one around me understood. It caused havoc on my relationships, romantic and otherwise. I couldn't see how hard people were trying to help me. I was completely in my own world, going out and abusing alcohol and waking up the next day in someone's bed who I though would give me the world. The next week if grow tired of them and move on to the next. It finally got to the point where I felt utterly alone and I tried to take my life. Luckily I failed, but this forced me to really look at myself and wha...
Female 67 years old diagnosed with severe o.a. of lumbar spine and hip who has involuntarily stopped Norco to treat pain. What are negative effects of treating pain with Suboxone while taking 100mg Nortriptiline at bedtime for depression? She lives a sedentary life w/o any exercise and a mitral valve that does not close completely with regurgitation and associated symptoms. ## Both medications can increase sedation, so she may experience a lot of drowsiness and dizziness, as listed by the FDA. Suboxone also does not always help everyone with pain, plus it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dry mouth and constipation. Is she on any other medications?
Does the effectiveness of Zoloft decrease with time ? Never, rarely, sometime,often,etc.----per cent of time ?p ## Hello, Colgan! How are you? There is no specific time frame or percentage that I can give you, because it can vary from person to person, but eventually our bodies get used to anything we take regularly and it stops working as well, which means the dosage may need to be adjusted, or the person may need to try a different medication. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Zoloft as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?
I just went in for a monthly drug screen for probation and there was a faint line for being positive for methamphetamine. I am prescribed trazadone and hydrogen. would that make me fail for methamphetamine? they said it looks like it was leaving my system but I am 7 months and 21 days clean ## I tested positive for methamphetamines and benzodiazepenes after my trazadone dosage was raised 100mg

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on 40 MGS of this for several months....I've experienced what I can only describe as brain zaps.....worse than the spins...almost like a convulsion. It happens when I lay down mostly...it is so bad it makes my arms jump around. Has anyone had this experience? I'm just wondering if it is due to the meds or if it is because of something else. ## Hello, Tay! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. And you need to contact your doctor about it as soon as possible, that could be the sign of a possibly dangerous reaction to this medication. It just might not be the right one for you to take. How often does it happen and how long does it last? ## I am also on a 40mg dose of Vybriid. I have been experiencing "brain zaps" for over a year, while on ...
I have generalized anxiety, adhd, bipolar type 1 and antisocial personality disorder. Long story short, after many years and various types of treatments, things got worse, so I have been off medications for nearly 2 years and regularly have marijuana to keep me sane as it is the only thing that makes me feel normal or relieves most of my symptoms. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I am being made to take Zoloft now. I am on week 1, but I have been consuming marijuana regularly on top of it. I just wanna know, does it stop Zoloft from working properly or am I fine? ## @Trump. I am not an expert on Mary Jane. I have most of your the psych. diagnosis. you have listed. If you are getting Mary Jane off the street...You never know what you are getting. If you live in a state where you can get...

Taking the escitalipram 20 mg I became irritable and suicidal. Now I'm having terrible withdrawals . I take Evekeo for ADHD but still need an antidepressant . Anyone know what will work that's not an SSRI ## Hello, Jen! How are you? There are several other options that might help you, such as SNRI antidepressants, tricyclic antidepressants, some antipsychotics and some anticonvulsants. The FDA lists many of the side effects profiles as being very similar and possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes and dry mouth. It's really a matter of working with your doctor to find the one that works best for you. Does anyone else have any advice or suggestions to offer?
Can serotonin syndrome be caused by 20 mg of brintellix and 100 mg of seroquil? I am very sensitive to meds and any minor change in medication dosage. I am experiencing bad anxiety and agitation as well as severe diarrhea. Anything that I eat comes out the other way immediately as liquid. I have lost 5 pounds in 5 days. I don't have the flu that I know of. I do not have the serious symptoms of serotonin syndrome though. Could this just be a bad interaction? ## Hello, Ceili! How are you? Has there been any change? Those could also just be side effects of one, or both, of these medications, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? How long have you been taking these? ## Hi. You are taking the highest rec...
Does Cymbalta help with hot flashes? ## Hi Rebekeh - cymbalta hasn't affected my hot flashes at all - still the same old night sweats & flashes durig the day. I am going off cymbalta & going back on zoloft which I was on for 4 yrs. as the cymbalta doen't feel like it is helping. ## Thank you. i'm just going on Cymbalta for depression but I was hoping it would help with these AWFUL sweats. ## Since this is an SSNRI antidepressant and doesn't contain any hormones, it will not help with these. ## SSRI's and SNRI's are known for CAUSING hot flashes especially when first beginning them. For most people that effect settles down after a period of time. But on the flip side of that - have also had friends whose docs prescribed AD's to help control the hot fla...
I heard there is a bead method, to come off Cymbalta 60 mg. How? ## any one know bead method coming off Cymbalta 60 mg? ## I think I have actually heard of what you're describing, where you take out a specific number of beads from the capsule and gradually titrate the dosage down over time. Though the concept itself sounds easy and harmless, I don't have any personal experience in doing this and am generally not one to tamper with pills unless instructed by a doctor. So if you have a choice I would probably encourage you to follow a tapering schedule per a doctor's recommendation. He/she might be able to prescribe a lower dose as well to help bridge the gap between lower milligrams. However, only you know how you truly feel on this medication, so it may be a long winded proc...
