My son(28) has been having the medicines of epilepsy since March,2009.Recently doctor has prescribed Fludac10 for first10 days& then 20mg/day but itis observed that after having Fludac20 he began to sleep more &more .More over drowsiness continued for the whole day. Is it the after effect of the reactions of medicines? Please reply

Recently my Md prescribed neurontin for me and I am afraid to take it. I am BipolarII Clinically Depressed and have attempted suicide in the past 4 yrs. Is 5.5 days long enough to pass urine test? I see my PM mid-day this Thurs. Mid-day. I am Rx'ed for: 10mgPerc 5/6x/day, 4-5mg Klononpin/day, 30mgFlexiril/day, & 2700mg Neurontin (gabapentin)/day. I recently got a few OpanaER 20 mg, I've been Insullfating due to higher bioavailability. Since they're so strong I've only been taking between 5-max 20mg/day (& not sure if even ever took 20mg in 1 day). This has been since this past Monday. If I stop tonite(I posted on wrong forum, it's now Sat. Nite but I stopped last nite) will I pass Thurs (5.5+days)? What is the expiration date of these pills? ## From what I could gather, the shelf-life of Gabapentin (Neurontin) is about 2-3 years according to the link below: medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/17095#SHELF_LIFE I've also read studies saying that the expiration date of most pills is actually 10-15 years, but I would think that potency may be lost in that time frame. I hope this helps!

I was told by a specialist that pple who take seizures in my case gran mall should not take antidepressants for it hightens the seizure thresh hold. ## I have epilepsy and was told by a doctor in hospital to discontinue antidepressant because it could be contributing to me having more seizures.Can you take a antidepressant if you take gran mall seizures? ## Antidepressants work on brain chemicals, so yes, most people that suffer from seizure disorders are advised to stay away from them.
