Can any body suggest generic alternative medicine for the same. thank you for helping me out. ## Trigabantin contains the active ingredients Gabapentin, Methylcobalamin and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Such a combination isn't available in the U.S., since it combines the Gabapentin, which is considered a pharmaceutical drug, with the other substances that are considered nutritional supplements. The Gabapentin is available, but it requires a doctor's prescription and the other two substances are available over the counter in most drug stores or vitamin shops. I am on Epitec 200 for the past 2 years, after the birth of my son I got a blackout and because of Epilepsy in my family the doctors immediately said that that is what i have. For as long as i can remember i have very sensitive eyes and the dr now said I have photosensitive epilepsy. I want to join my family on a cruise and I know I get seasick, is it safe to use stugeron seasick medication while on Epitec, or what else can i use? Please advise. ## Hi Janey, Sorry to hear about that situation with the blackout. I hope you're doing much better by now. Based on my research there are no drug interactions listed between the active ingredients in Stugeron (cinnarizine) and Epitec (Lamotrigine); deeming them safe to take together. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but ...
i had to get off lithium from one day after 27 years because my kidneys were starting to get affected. i have now developed a tingling in my head so i did not start taking another medicine like daepakote for my bipolar. i saw a neurologist today and she told me to start taking neurontin because she feels it would take away this tingling but she said no side effects. i am seeing my psychiatrist Wed. so i am thinking of waiting to take it and check with her first. what does everyone thing? ## The first piece of advice I'd like to give you is to never let a doctor get away with telling you that any medication has no side effects. It is simply not true! They all carry the risk of causing side effects, even over the counter products. In her experience, it may not seem to cause problemati...
I'm a caregiver for a Disablele man thats really sick and I want to make sure that we're using it right! ## A round yellow pill marked S 710 has been identified as Topiramate 50 mg. Manufacturer: Sun Pharmaceuticals National Drug Code (NDC): 62756-0710 Topiramate treats epilepsy in children and adults and was originally marked as an anticonvulsant. It is FDA approved for, and most frequently prescribed for, the prevention of migraines. It may also be used in treatment of fibromyalgia. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Topiramate Details I hope this info helps!
I was on topiramate for the last 2 1/2 years for migraines. I am a therapist and was getting pretty fed up with the cognitive side effects, as well as hope to try and have a baby in the next year so I stopped taking it. Cognitive side effects went away immediately for me, however I have gained 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I read about this and was worried, but given the fact that I never really lost much weight on the drug, I didn't think it would effect me in that way. Just be warned, you may love the weight loss now, but it comes back on when you stop it even if you are eating right and exercising! ## Although weight loss is listed as a general side effect of Topiramate, for some reason I get the sense that this medication plays with your hormones as well; which would explain why t...
My neurologist has me taking 1200 Mg of gabapentin and my pain specialist increased that to 3000 Mg a day. Will that big of an increase cause me any problems or side effects? ## Hi Susie, Based on my research, many patients are being told that 1,800mg is the maximum recommended dose for nerve pain. Although another drug article I found states that, "Efficacy was demonstrated in clinical studies over a range of 1800 mg/day to 3600 mg/day. However, no additional benefit was demonstrated from the use of doses over 1800 mg/day." - I'm not sure if your pain specialist is aware of this? Regarding side effects, there's always a risk involved with any prescription medication. But if you're taking an increased dose, it's likely that your risk of experiencing certain side ...

Talk with your doctor before using lithium while you are using metformin. You may need a dose adjustment and you may need to check your blood sugar more often." Is there a rapid drug test for neurontin? Or does it always take longer? I took a neurontin and was tested for them a couple days later. They told me it was positive but it seemed like they got the results very quickly. I was just curious because they took the test like 3 days after and it came back positive. I thought they were out of your system in 2 days. I am just concerned because i do not know if im being lied to or not to trick me into telling them that i took one. This has happened to me in the past.
