For quite some time now, I have counted my Pills from Walgreens and the Count Was Short a few times already. Now I'm short on Neurontin Pills I didn't Count; And I'm Short Of My Pills For A Few Days!!!! Which means I have to do without my Medication for a Few Days and To SUFFER because they MISCOUNTED MY PILLS NO TELLING HOW MANY TIMES!!!! I've thought other Prescriptions were SHORT COUNTED in the Past...BUT NOW I HAVE TO DO WITHOUT SOME OF MY MEDICINE FOR SEVERAL DAYS!!! I've use Gabapentin, 600 mg. And I been on it for years, but different manufacturers are not the same at pharmacies and if I don't get the same medication I would feel funny, or anxiety would occurred if it don't have the same number on it.meaning it could be a off brand. ## I'm use to going to CVS for all my meds, now I'm going to a Pharmacy that i feel like its nothing like CVS. How hard is it to stop taking dilatin? I have been taking this medication for 5 Years, it has caused so many health issues. I want to stop taking this as soon as possible? ## Hello, Darlene! How are you? Was it prescribed to prevent seizures? If so, it may not be safe for you to stop taking it. In that case, the best thing to do would be to speak to your doctor about trying a different medication. What types of problems has it caused? The FDA does warn that most anticonvulsant medications can cause memory loss and weight gain with long-term use.

What can I take right after I jump off my gabapentin taper to buffer withdrawal? Any other type of med?? ## Hello, Noble! How are you? Are you tapering or just trying to stop it abruptly? If you stop abruptly it can create the risk of seizures, according to the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, depression and headache. ## I've looked into natural herbal teas to ease WD's from gabapentin. I found Valerian root, lemon balm, passionflower, hops, and chamomile along with lavender flowers combined into a tea helps greatly! {edited for privacy} ## Thanks for the reply. Took Excedrin PM. Every night for a month but took 4 instead of typical 2. Woke up in hospital. Dr. Said seizure but I say reaction to too much Excedrin P.M. Dr. put me on dilantin and I've never had one before or after. Was taking 4 a day but have cut it down too two and now ready to take only 1 before completely stop all together. No funny feelings or abnormal reactions. ## It could be due to either, or, it's hard to say from just the information in this post. Was a scan done by a neurologist? Usually a scan of the brain is used to determine epilepsy. Dr gave me Vimpac and said I was having seizures but I have never had one. Been on it for 6 months and now I have headaches, a rash on the side of my neck, balance is off and vision is blurry. I've been taking Oxetol 900mg twice a day for the last 2 and a half years... Now that I am free from my seizure disorder, is it safe for me to decrease my dose? ## Hello, Aabid! How are you? My dog was have seizers every 10 days. The vet has tried different meds and just a month and 1/2 ago she started taking Zonisamide brown and white pill 100mg number IG228 and for the month and 1/2 no seizers. Last week went to pick up med and it was different colors and numbers Zonisamide G24 100mg green and white pill . She has had two seizers today one this morning and one this evening. What is the difference and why can't I get the brown and white pill number IG228?

I have a prescription for Gabapentin that I used or anxiety. My doctor gave me a prescription for 3 months worth. I noticed on the label it says Refills: P what does P mean? ## I must admit this is one I am not familiar with and I'm wondering if it is a typo. Normally there would be a number there, or it would state no refills. However, only your pharmacist can say for sure, there may be some reason they use it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Gabapentin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

My dad had a brain infection in his temporal and parietal lobes. After trying to treat it with antibiotics, they finally performed surgery and removed the pus manually. About two months after he was released from the hospital, he began having extremely painful neuropathy in his fingers, legs and feet. His fingertips have been splitting, cracking and bleeding, and his legs and feet have had painful rashes and open wounds. He has tried steroid creams for his legs and feet, which help, but for his hands he has been given Gabapentin, Cymbalta and Lyrica, all which cause strange mental behavior...which I would liken to mildly psychotic. A friend would like to know what they are, because she is allergic to most everything including some medications . ## Hello, Momabear! How are you and your friend? She shouldn't take anything, if she doesn't know what it is and it has not been prescribed for her by her doctor. The tablet in question is manufactured by Sun Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Divalproex Sodium in a time released formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a an anticonvulsant and they list its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gan. Is there anything else I can help with?

I AM USING A TOPICAL MIXTURE FOR SEVERE SHOULDER PAIN (shoulders should e replaced) but it doesn't do much. What could I safely use with a patch? ## My friend has either hand that will swell and has extreme pain with this including his fingers , wrist and inner forearm. He knows when this is coming on because there will be tingling in his thumbs and he knows this is starting up again. His fingers get so bad He can't use his hand at all. Any suggestions welcome.. It's not from the Zoloft. Your having gabapentin WD's and symptoms of interdose withdrawals IDK ## Hi! I am not sure who you were responding to, but in the future to make a response to someone's post, you can use the reply button directly under their post, so they will receive notification of your response. As to withdrawals, a person can experience them if they abruptly stop any medication that they've been taking for a long period of time. Thus, both Zoloft and Gabapentin can cause withdrawal issues, including the risk of seizures, which may be dangerous, as reported by the FDA. Other withdrawal effects may include dizziness, headache, irritability, mood swings, rebound depression, anxiety, insomnia and diarrhea. Is there anything I can help with?

I been taking topiramate 25 two to three time a day, as needed for headaches after getting hit in the head by metal fence panels and having a headache ever since and two rear ended car accidents . After a increasing for one a day then two, The more i take them the more the headaches pain in increases is this a side effect. So i've cut the doae down to 1 a day but that doesn't change a thing. Gabapentin withdrawl DEMONIC please help got hooked after suboxine withdrawl now this is worse definitely. After 10 yr of opiate abuse a HELP SEVERE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION AND INSOMNIA DONT LEAVE HOUSE IN 4 WEEKS ## on it to long Oviously 6 weeks. Ive been on gabapentin 800mg 3 x's a day for several months for treatment of fibromyalgia pain and anxiety. I have been waking up every morning with diarrhea (2-4 trips to bathroom) for about the same amout of time, and my doctor claims the 2 are not related. I cant remember having a normal bowel movement since beginning the gaba and am wondering if anyone else may have had the same experience? The gaba has been the most effective treatment I've tried for the fibromyalgia pain & the added benefit of treating my anxiety has been wonderful as well & I'd hate to stop taking it. I took Topiramate for seven days. On the eighth day I had pressure that went up to 60 and 70 in my eyes and ended up in the hospital. They couldn't figure out what was wrong. It took them eight hours to figure out the problem. I was blind for three days. Developed ocular angular closure glaucoma. Ended up with cataracts in both eyes two eyes surgeries and now permanently dilated eyes. Cannot drive at night anymore light outside is very painful and has reduced my quality of life. Would love to find an attorney that would be willing to take on the hospital and the drug company.
