How long does it take to get off urbanol completely without withdrawal symptoms? When will my body be over the withdrawal symptoms? I stopped 3 days ago and I am experiencing a buzzing headache and irritability, where I feel as if I am getting a seizure! ## Hello Johanna, According to the NIH the half life cycle for adults is between 36 and 42 hours. In addition there is also a metabolite left behind that has a half-life of up to 82 hours. Your withdrawal timeline is going to be unique but the generally accepted timeline is that acute withdrawals last for 3-6 days in the beginning and then the symptoms will seem to get better suddenly. Then towards the end of the withdrawals you will experience another spike of acute withdrawals for another 3-6 days. the middle of these spikes can be an...
I just took my second dose of gabapentin 100 mgs this morning. I was also prescribed hydrocodone 10/325. Is it safe for me to take the hydrocodone if it has been eight hours ago since I took the gabapentin? I know it takes a long time for gabapentin to get out of your system and I can't be too safe when mixing medications. Thanks in advance to any help I get. ## It should be okay to take them together, if they have both been prescribed for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Will I get the same level of pain relief from stopping norco 10-325 mg and starting 300 mg gabapentin? ## If it were me it wouldn't, but everyone's different. I take Gabapentin and have some Stacker 2. They are purple and yellow. I want to know if I can mix them together like hours apart? Thank you. ## Hello Sissy, Unfortunately I don't think that is a very good idea. The reason for this is that stacker 2 pills active ingredient is caffeine which negatively interacts with gabapentin. According to the NIH gabapentins medical properties diminish when caffeine is introduced. They write the following "the combination with caffeine can reduce gabapentin’s anticonvulsant effects.83,84 Furthermore, caffeine was able to decrease the electroconvulsive threshold, previously augmented by gabapentin at a 200 mg/kg dose; the rise in threshold induced by another dose of gabapentin (23.1 mg/kg) can only be decreased by the administration of ch...
Is there any way to get Gabapentin in less than 100 mg pills? I have a method on weaning off from 1,200 mg a day to 100 mg total (talking to the doctor when it’s time to take 2 xs a day instead of 3 xs). ## I’m well aware that there are multiple phases during withdrawals. The first phase took 10 days for Gabapentin to equalize in my body. A week afterwards I had 2 days of Hot night sweats but was done with withdrawals after that. (At least until I lower my dose). Please respond so this can stay active and can let you know my method of weaning off safely. ## Hi Grayman, You may have success inquiring about different dosages with a local compounding pharmacy who could formulate something more suitable for your needs... However, I'm not quite sure how much it would cost and...

Round white pill 278 on one side, 1g on other side ## Hello, And! How are you? The tablet with the IG 278 marking is manufactured by InvaGen Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Topiramate. The FDA classifies this as an antiseizure medication that is used to treat epilepsy. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, mood swings, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was always told by my Dr and pharmacist that topiramate can induce weight loss.... Is this wrong? Btw, ty, I love having this site to use.
I just wanted to let people know that I felt the vets did a poor job of believing the secondary symptoms of zonisamide. My dog, Ivy, has been having seizures for over a year now and we started with phenobarb, which she is still on, Zonisamide about eight months ago. The Zonisamide made a small difference in the primary seizures but she started having dry mouth and coughing almost immediately, then after several months, reddish patches on her left side and sores inside on the right side of her mouth (much less on the left side of her mouth). Three or four different vets tried to tell me she was just going to bleed out and I should put her down. I demanded that we start Lyrica and gradually take her off the Zonisamide. Lyrica is more expensive, but I have found that the improvement is wel...
I took 1mg of Xanax and 3mg of Suboxone; I've been used to taking this for 5 years and I wanted to get off of Xanax, so I took Gabapentin 300mg. An hour later I took 1mg of Suboxone. Now I feel lightheaded and my blood pressure is a little high. Should I be worried? ## Gabapentin is not an opiate, so it should not cause a problem with the Suboxone, according to FDA reports. How high was your blood pressure? Gabapentin is also not a replacement for Xanax, so if you stopped taking the Xanax abruptly, that could have cause these issues. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## I just took my dose of xanax, gabapentin, and suboxone about two hours ago and now I’m feeling wrecked. F*** Xanax.
My doctor has prescribed me gabapentin 300 mg capsules. for nerve pain in my back. I'm a little confused on how to take it. He said that I can increase my dose. Does this mean that I can take two at time since one isn't helping? I only take it at night when my pain is at its worst. ## I am on same meds i take 3 of those a night ## Our doctor, who is a prof at Duke says you can take up to 2700 Mg a day. A pain specialist we also had stated that if you are taking for example 1800 Mg per day to take one 600 in morning and two 600 at night. Both said not to take major steps over 300 or 600 Mg each week, and I did find that when I upped it or took it down that had to do it slowly. I have been taking 1800 Mg for 7 years now for shingle pain that took out the nerves in my face. ## I ha...
I am trying to wean off of gabapentin, but the worst part is the itching, and the crazy restlessness at night. I’m taking one a day at 300 mg in the evening. By the time evening comes again the itching starts happening. How do I wean off this/300 mg a day, and is there anything I can take for the itching. I did start taking magnesium a couple days ago. I was on it for about 4 to 5 weeks, at 1800 mg a day. No one told me to not go cold turkey, so I did and that was a horrible week. So I went back to taking one a day and I want to get off of these now. ## This medication comes in lower dosages, so you could speak to your doctor about using 100mg capsules, or tablets to help you taper off of it. The FDA warns that other withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, depression, an...
Hi, I've been on Gabapentin about two years, but recently the Dr. increased the dose to 300 mg three times a day...for anxiety. I have been only trying to take it every other day instead. On the off days, I feel crummy. But if i took it daily, then the eventual withdrawal would be horrendous from what I've read. Besides that, I'd build up a tolerance to it pretty quickly and wouldn't be as effective in a short amount of time. Does anyone else take it every other day instead of daily? ## Gabapentin has a short half life of 5 to 7 hours; that’s why it’s typically prescribed 3 times a day and sometimes 4 times a day. Skipping dosages and taking it every other day can cause interdosage withdrawals when you're late on your dosage or skip a day. Gabapentin is a...
