Oblong. White Scored on back ## Hi shell, Based on the description provided, I found your white oblong pill to be Ciprofloxacin hydrochloride (500 mg). My only concern about this match, is that the back of the pill does not appear to have a "score line" per say, but rather an indented arrow; which in my honest opinion could count as a divider. Ciprofloxacin is a drug used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. Learn More: Ciprofloxacin Details Please post back if you have any other questions or additional information to add regarding the score line. I hope this helps!

I picked up a prescription from CVS took the blue and white capsules for a month. When I got the refill, the capsules were grey and white. I looked up the number and found that those were the minocycline 100 mg that was prescribed. I called CVS to find out why the first ones were blue and white--whether they changed brands, or whether I might have been given a different dosage that was blue and white or a different medication, maybe one with a similar number or in a bin adjacent to the minocycline. They said without the number on the capsules (all gone), there was nothing they could do. Would someone familiar with CVS know how this could happen and what it's likely to have been that I took for a month? ## Minocycline is a generic medication, so it is manufactured by several differen...

I was put on flucillin & calvepen today for an infection in my leg i've only taken 3 of each and am feeling extreamly dizzy even when lying down is this normal with eather of these antibiotics? Ive never had any problems with previous antibiotics ## Yes, it can be a normal side effect of both of them and it may be more pronounced, since you're taking them both at the same time. Learn more Calvepen details here. Learn more Flucillin details here. Antibiotics can be very touchy medications. For instance, I'd taken various ones my whole life, since I was a child due to chronic dental problems and tonsilitis, but never had a problem. But just a few months ago, I was prescribed Bactrim for something else and got very ill from taking it and also ended up with an allergic react...

I have a tattoo (red ink) that is infected. I have these left over from misdiagnosis in Sept. Can I take these to help infection go away I am washing with Ivory soap and bactrishun with zinc I am on no other meds and very healthy ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic that can treat various types of infections, but if you only have 'left overs' then you likely don't have enough to properly treat and fully eradicate the infection and not taking enough of them creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Learn more Bactrim details here. The best thing you can do is see a doctor for a new prescription. How did you end up with an infected tattoo?

I have reactions to all forms of dairy. I recently was put on Amoxicillin 500 gg 849 and started having symptoms - not of allergic reaction but dairy (vertigo, thick sinus drainage, migraine headache). Is there any possible form of dairy in this capsule? It looks to be a clear gelatin capsule with yellow powder. ## Aside from the 500mgs of Amoxicillin, the inactive ingredients are listed as being Ferric Oxide yellow, titanium dioxide, gelatin, ferric oxide black and magnesium stearate. Learn more Amoxicillin details here. I don't see anything there that I am aware is dairy based or related to it, but I am not familiar with everything that may be distantly related. I have some Clindamycin 75 mg tabs left over from cat's recent illness. I would like to know if these exact same tabs can be given to dogs as well. I know my dog has had Clindamycin in the past. What is the appropriate dose in a dog weighing approx 18 -22 lbs? ## Yes, they are the same, there is nothing species specific about them, though they may not be considered of a grade for human consumption. Learn more Clinadmycin details here. However, I don't know the dosing protocol for canines. Have you tried asking your vet? Are you sure your dog has an infection? ## I realize that I am replying a bit late, but if this comes up again, consider that you could overdose an animal for which it was not prescribed, and (just like in humans) cause C. Difficule overgrowth by killing other gu...

Can you take doxycycline once a day instead of two time a day? ## If you are taking it to treat an infection, then it should be taken according to the prescribing instructions to properly eradicate the bacteria being treated. I have many of the side effects of Sulfameth Trimethoprim. Muscle aches, loss of appetite, dizziness, nausea. After discontinueing its use can I use benadryl to help with the side effects. ## There are no potential interactions listed, between Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim (Bactrim) and the Diphenhydramine in Benadryl, but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. The Benadryl may cause some side effects of its own, such as dizziness and drowsiness and it isn't likely to help with the muscle aches. Are there any other questions? ## I have a urinary infection and the doctor put me on trimethoprim, I CAN'T TAKE ANY ANTIBIOTICS WITH OUT HAVING ITCHING ON MY NECK, EARS AND FACE I was thinking about taking benadryl with the antibiotic. I had mrsa and lost these pills.I can't affored to go to the doctor so i thought I could take these to treat Clap. I was thinking I should take 2 right away then 1 pill 3 times a day rfor 2 day ## Although I can't find significant information on using Sulfameth-tmp to treat Chlamydia, I did find a useful link on how effective it could be. hi, can i take purbac d.s. for a tooth infection ## Purbac DS contains the active ingredients Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim, it is an antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections. And it can be used for a dental infection, but the relevant question is: Was it prescribe to treat this dental infection? If not and you just have some left over from a prior prescription, you may run into problems if you don't have enough to completely eradicate the infection, because you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. On top of that, a dental infection does require proper follow up treatment from a dentist to fix the underlying issue that has caused it, or there is a high likelihood that it will just recur. Why would a dental surgeon recommend a round of this antibiotic during the follow up to wisdom teeth extraction? We got no explanation, but were just told to go on another round of anti-biotics. ## My ear is swollen because I have cleaned it with a bobby pin and gotten it infected. I have a part of a bottle of clindamycin HCL 150mg caps. can these be taken for ear infections? ## Smark, they most likely wanted it to be taken to ensure that an infection doesn't set in, it can be used to prevent infections, as well as treating ones that have already set in. Judy, it is an antibiotic and can be used to treat various types of infections, but the primary concern is that you only have part of a bottle and for an infection to be fully eradicated, you need to take a full course of treatment....
