Can I eat milk products while taking doxitet? ## Regarding your thread title, Doxycycline is the active ingredient in and of itself... As far as dairy products go, I would suggest staying away from them during your time on this medication. Reason being is that dairy products (particularly foods and drinks higher in calcium) do interact with Doxycycline, diminishing its efficacy due to decreased absorption of the medication. More details on this interaction can be found in the link below: drugtopics.modernmedicine.com/drug-topics/news/should-patients-doxycycline-avoid-dairy-products I hope this helps!

## how much sulfur is in sulfameth/trimethoprim? ## Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is a generic for the antibiotic Bactrim, which is used to treat various types of infections. And in regards to this question, there really isn't sulfur in it, per se… what it really means is that this is a sulfa based drug, or it's derived from it... and the amount of sulfa based material in it is equivalent to the amount of Sulfamethoxazole that's in it. Learn more Bactrim details here. To put it a little more simply for future readers, if you have a sensitivity to sulfa or are allergic to it, then you should not take this antibiotic as there is a very high likelihood that you will also have a bad reaction to it.
