Can you give a child Ciproxina O is they are allergic to pencillin? ## Hi Riley, Ciproxina contains the active ingredient Ciprofloxacin, which is in a class of antibiotics called fluoroquinolones. So if you're child is allergic to Penicillin (and other antibiotics in that group), he or she shouldn't experience the same complications with Ciproxina. Although I would recommend having your child checked for other drug allergies as well, just to be on the safe side. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Ciprofloxacin Details I hope this helps! ## Cipro and other drugs in that class of antibiotics are contraindicated in children, meaning that they should never be given to children for any reason except in the case of a life threatening illness where there is no other tre...

is this the same tablet as perscibed for humans and dogs. any difference? ## The active ingredient is the same, but since you do not list the manufacturer, I cannot tell you anything about the inactive ingredients. The list of accepted safe inactive ingredients is different, what is considered safe for dogs, may not be safe for people and vice/versa. ## If you are considering giving this medicine to your dog, please take a second thought before you do so and discuss with your doctor a better alternative. Both dogs and humans are susceptible to the potentially disabling Ciprofloxacin Side Effects. In fact, many of the studies done to show the damaging effects of Cipro and it's Fluoroquinolone cousins that are in the same class, were done on dogs! Please do not subject yourself or you...

moxifloxacin HCI ## i have an arrytmia should i take avelox ## Hi Maria, Avelox is a drug that can lead to many problems, including arrhythmia. Many heart arrhythmias are due to a decrease of magnesium in the body (even if your magnesium level tested by your doctor is normal). Unfortunately, the mechanism of action of many of the Avelox Side Effects is through a reduction in magnesium in the body. This could potentially lead to worsening of symptoms. You should carefully read about the side effects of these drugs and decide if the risk is worth treating the infection, or if it might be better to call your doctor, tell him about your concerns, and ask for an alternative to Levaquin to treat your infection.

Has anyone ever experienced a problem mixing avelox and champex together ## Hi Paul, There is no known interactions between these drugs, but that does not mean that there are not any, only that it may just never have been tested, or that there are not enough studies to determine whether or not there is an interaction. However, just taking Avelox with or without any other drugs can lead to a whole host of problems that you can learn about by going to the Avelox Side Effects page. The multitude of reports of severe and even disabling side effects may encourage you to ask your doctor if there are any alternate drugs that you can substitute for the Avelox. These drugs are dangerous drugs that should only be reserved for life threatening infections.

I took these drugs for 10 days. How long does it take to get out of system? ## Well, these drugs get out of your system rather quickly, just a few days. However, if you are still experiencing negative effects from them, then this is probably due to Side Effects of Levaquin, which can be devastating and take a long time to resolve- if they ever do.

just wondering if nitrofuran monohyd is the same as levaquin and is it any more effective than Cipro? ## No, it is not the same. Levaquin contains Levofloxacin, which is different than the Nitrofurantoin. The Cipro and Levaquin are much more similar, because Cipro contains Ciprofloxacin. There is really no way to say that one is more effective than any other. It depends on the type of infection being treated, the severity of it and the person's response to any given antibiotic. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## No, they are not the same drugs. But if you have a choice of the two drugs, both of which might be effective for your particular condition, it would be smart to choose the nitrofuran monohyd because the side effects of Levaquin can be devastating. Erythromycin 250mg was prescribed to treat cellulitis ,a red itchy rash on my leg , I now know is an infection under the skin . I was asked to take the tablets every 6 hours. So found that difficult as I was asleep for the fourth one . I have one days medicine left , but had some more rash appear yesterday , I'm feel very weak and think I need more medicine , please advise . ## See the Doctor ASAP. Cellulitis is nothing to mess around with. It is in fact a very serious condition, you should keep the offending leg raised higher than the heart i.e: lying in bed with the head on a small pillow and the leg resting on four pillows stacked high! Rest, raised leg and get that medication corrected. You're not better after a ten day antibiotic? You might need IV antibiotics at this point...

Can it be use for a tooth infection?? ## Hello, Daisy! How are you? This tablet contain 500mgs of Amoxicillin, which is an antibiotic and yes, it can be used to treat a dental infection. However, you should't take it, unless your doctor or dentist has confirmed the presence of an infection and prescribed this to treat it. If you don't have enough to finish a full course of treatment, you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Additionally, your dentist will need to correct whatever the underlying problem is that has caused the infection, or it will just keep returning. Have you consulted your dentist, yet? ## What if you can't afford a dental examination but have the antibiotics? I know what I've been prescribed before but at this current period of tim...

After having 2 sinus infections within a month, I was pretty sure I had yet another one. I took Cipro for the first two and they seemed to go away. I was sure that I had one again, so I returned to the doctor. He prescribed that SMZ-TMP double str. 800-160. I read the side effects that came with my prescription and thought, wow there are ALOT of side affects to this medication! I haven't really had a bad reaction to a drug before except when the doctor was trying to get my thyroid dose correct. At that time, I thought I was going crazy! I had anxiety really bad. I called that doctor's office many times and they finally called me back. When I told them all of my symptoms they acted like it was no big deal, just switch to this dosage.
