It's Azithromycin. It usually is a 5 day Rx prescription. Results from it last 4-10 days after prescription is over. I was given it for chronic headaches. If your doctor prescribes you GGD6 for headaches, I would ask for something else. It hasn't worked for me and I'm still getting headaches daily. ## Azithromycin is an antibiotic that's used to treat bacterial infections, it is not something prescribe for headaches. I am taking these meds for 3 days now and I have 4 days left. The doc said to take them twice a day for 7 days. My boyfriend has chlamydia and he needs to be treated. We had intercourse last night. I continued my meds today as usual. Will I be cured or will I have to start treatment all over again?? ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? I am 13 weeks pregnant. This is my second time taking this antibiotic within a pmonth n a half. For a Uti. Both times were to take 2 aday for 7 days. The first time i took the med for the whole 7 days. Did not work 100% I waited it out for about 2 to 3 weeks went back for the second set. So i had 1 the first da.y. then I've had the 2 a day for 2 days. And im not feeling any improvements. Sarting to get nervous. Just want this to go away. ## Hello, Bubbles! How are you doing? I am prescribed 500 mg twice daily for 14 days (on day 3 right now), and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced drowsiness after taking a dose? I tried doing a very light exercise on an elliptical machine (yes, very slow, light movements) and within 15 minutes felt like my calves were cramping and I was starting to get winded. Afterwards i felt completely exhausted. It's a double edged sword because it seems to be helping with the infection but at the same time I'm not really leading a great quality of life while taking it. I'm thinking of having my doc switch me to Cephalexin if they think that my specific infection can be treated by it since I've taken that in the past without any of these effects. Anyone else experience this from Cipro?
