Hello, my wife began a rash on her hand that spread to the arm and then the other arm, neck, and upper chest. Deep pain and weakness began about 2 weeks into the rash. Doctors were consulted in Comoros where we live, blood tests done. Even the doctors said testing is not good here so we traveled to Nairobi. 2 doctors, several blood tests and meds later she is still not well. Latest doc says muscle infection and prescribed Prednisone and Nexium. We are concerned about steroid side effects. Doc prescribed these because of a CPK level of 616. I took 2 Aleve, then 3 - 4 hours later, 1Motrin. Should I be worried? ## Hello, Worrywort! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? This combination most likely won't do more than cause nausea and stomach pain, but it may be dangerous for some people with certain health conditions or who are on certain prescription medications. But they are both NSAIDs, so it's essentially doubling up on the same medication and should be avoided in the future.

Hi I'm 26 with 5 kids. After my 3rd in 2010 a mri showed 4 bulging disks and a pinched nerve down my left leg. Was on hydro 5 5 ml a day naproxen a muscle relaxer an physical therapy. I became pregnant so I stopped everything. I lived in az at that time now I'm in tx. The pain has gotten so bad it's hard to care for 5 kids. I don't have insurance and I don't qualify for Medicaid. I can't afford insurance so I have carelink which a payment plan cause I'm poor. Saw my Dr today she won't do a mri unless a xray shows something. She will only give me naproxen and physical therapy. I inject myself with panamor when the pain in my feet gets very painfull. Today i sprained my left foot and it is painful if i walk. Two days ago I injected myself with panamor. I on an used Voltaren for a very long time , but stopped using it as it seems to cause diahrrea on an ongoing basis; like every two months. For a while after stopping Voltaren my symptoms approved. I am now taking Flexocam and have the same problem. I use the medication for Arthiritis. What can I do? ## Hello, Annemarie! How are you? Well, my best guess is that the diarrhea is most likely not caused by the medications. It doesn't make sense if you were taking the Voltaren all the time, but only got diarrhea every 2 months or so. I'm taking clonezapam (1 and a half) and 2 1/2 trazadone for sleep. Because I suffer from bursitis, I also take an Aleve. Will this harm my body? Thanks for your help ## Hello, Eileen! How are you? You shouldn't take the Trazodone with the Aleve, they increase the toxicity of each other, which could be dangerous. From what I can find, the only over the counter pain reliever you could take with it is Acetaminophen/Tylenol, so you may want to ask your doctor about taking it.
