Ive been diagnosed with costochondritis and have been on naproxen for it for the last week. I dont have any appetite. I would like to know if naproxen is making me less hungry and giving me slight chest pains and should I stop taking them. Im also very tired alot of the time. ## Hello, Chris! How are you? I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. The Costochondritis can cause chest pain, that's usually one of it's symptoms. As to the loss of appetite, yes that may be due to the Naproxen, it is known to cause stomach upset, nausea and irritation, as listed by the FDA. Have you tried making sure to take it with a small snack and not on an empty stomach?

I've been taking prednisolone for 4 weeks.. 30mg/day for a week tapering down to 5mg for the last week. anyone else experienced this? i get no effects from alcohol whilst taking prednisone ## Hello, Blaine! How are you? That's very odd, in most cases, alcohol worsens the side effects, so someone would feel more drowsiness, dizziness and nauseous than usual. Basically each drink would affect them as if they'd had 2 and so on. Be very careful not to push it by drinking far too much, because you may still risk alcohol poisoning. Has anyone else experienced this effect? ## thanks for the reply yes i have read about this, people have said the drug does stop them feeling the alcohol effects. but like you said others drink 1 drink and it feels like 3 I'm only on 5mg's of pred now, and i still cannot feel the alcohol effects. its strange!

I accidentally took 4 prednisone 5mg each. I'm on dialysis and have high blood pressure. I took th a couple days ago. Feeling light headed. Was given a steroid injection for right knee pain & was given lodine 2x daily & took glucosamine chondroitin with msm. Felt better in 2 weeks. Stopped taking med & suppliment but suddenly developed stiff achy muscles & joints, specifically backs of knees & neck.
