Almost three weeks ago I began taking redotex with the hopes of loosing weigh along with exercise and changing my eating habits. So far lost 5 pounds (yay!) anyway I got sick last week and took Pentrexyl for a throat infection. Of course I stopped the Redotex for the past week. The last time I took Pentrexyl was four days ago. I was called in for a drug test and I think Amphetamine must of gotten on my finger before work or at work? I know my urine is clean but, a safety pin dropped into the urine off my under garment, the nurse had me get it out with my finger, now I'm suspended and may lose my job.. my finger had to be contaminated that's the only way.. I take 30 mg ER twice a day and it seems to wear off latter on before the evening time. Does anyone have this issue if so what do you or your doctors do to fix this. ## From what I could gather, many people are saying that the D-Amphetamine Salt Combo seems to only last about 4 hours before it's initial effects start to fade. However they may or may not be referring to the extended release version. Others have also stated that the generic doesn't necessarily work as well or as long as the name brand. I have a 9 year old son on this medication. Since he has started he has been insomniac and starting to argue with me a lot more an even his teacher. Any tips? ## The best suggestion I can give would be to take him off this drug. Being only 9 years old and taking "legal speed" probably has a lot more repercussions than doctors let off telling you. In my opinion the best way to stay focused is to write lists, work on goal setting, exercise (outdoors, if at all possible); to help get rid of excess energy and to refresh the mind. I'd also recommend a diet comprised of more fresh fruits and vegetables. How long does Barr 956 stay in your system? ## Based on my research, d-amphetamine can be detected in your urine for up to 2-5 days after your last dose. In hair follicles it can be detected for up to 90 days. So I think it really depends upon the type of drug test your taking, when determining how long it stays in your system vs how long it can be detected for. They say most drugs leave your system in just a few days time, but I still wonder if they really have left your system when a hair strand test can find them 3 months after you last took any...
