Hi, just wondered if it's safe to take alcohol with "pinamox caps 500mg amoxicillin".. I assumed it wasn't until I looked at the other medicine (a cough bottle) that I was prescribed by the same doctor.. It has ethanol (alcohol) in it. I finish big exams soon and have been looking forward to a cocktail party for ages.. If it's dangerous to take the course of tablets with alcohol then I'm considering not taking the tablets (three a day) for the day of the celebrations. Hello, My son is 6 and half years old at 64lb he has a throat infection. Doctor gave him Amoxicillin 11ML 3times a day for 7 days. this sounds like a lot, just wondering is this the usual dosage for a 6 and a half year old?? ## At his age, it is dosed by weight and the severity of the infection, so you should administer it as his doctor has directed. Hi, I was just wondering if liquid Amoxicillin actually goes bad & could possibly harm someone, or does it just lose its potency? For example, liquid Amoxicillin kept in fridge the whole time, not quite a month old...there's no expiration date anywhere on the bottle, & there was extra left over after it was administered correctly for 10 days. Hi my son is 6 years old and has pink eye. I took him to urgent care because I couldn't get into his normal pediatrician before they closed for the day. He has also been having pain behind one of his ears/kind of on his jaw line. I told the doctor this and he checked his ears saying he did not have an ear infection but that he believes it could be mastoiditis. This concerns me but the doc acted like it isn't a big deal. I developed a cough/sneeze and want to know if I can take Amoxicillin (500mg) and Robitussin DM together? ## What are the specific ingredients of the Robitussin that you are taking? My 6 year old had a possible allergic reaction to amoxicillin. We stopped giving her the medication after only 2 doses. However, 2 days after stopping the medication, her rash is not only not going away, it is intensifying and spreading. Is this normal? What should I do to help alleviate the rash and itching? I've been taking 875mg Amoxicillin/125mg Clav for a tooth abscess. My doctor gave me 10 days worth of meds to take twice a day. I've been taking it now for 4days but breaks it down into 3 times a day by splitting the pill in 1/2 which means I'm actually taking a pill and a 1/2. I tried the 1st day and it made me sick so I decided to try it this way but I'm noticing my abscess is not going down it actually got a little bigger. I took 10ml of liquid amoxicillin today. Original fill date was 12/17/17 and use by date was 12/27/17. My hands started itching immediately and within the hour my face, ears and neck were bright red and my entire body was itching. I have 500mg Amoxicillin capsules for an ear infection and they are pink and blue. Last time I had an ear infection the capsules were red and yellow. I'm wondering if these were a different dosage, its been a few years but I believe they were slightly smaller. I'm hoping the ones I have now are a higher dose because it took a 4 week course to clear it up last time, and now I have a 2 month old daughter and have to stick cotton balls in my ears when she cries or I black out for a second from the pain.
