However, what I can tell you is that dogs cannot have the artificial sweetener Xylitol, it is toxic to them. Others, however, are generally considered safe in small amounts, but it should be noted that Sucralose, and a couple others, may cause diarrhea or GI upset, in our canine friends. Ref: AKC Artificial Sweetener Safety The best advice I can give is to double check the ingredients, before dosing your pup, and if in doubt, ask your pharmacist....
What is this small round white pill scored on one side. Other side has what looks to be a P inside a circle with an e outside of it ? ## Hi Tom, Just wondering out of curiosity where you found this pill at, because I'm not locating any matches to it online given the details provided? I know on some over-the-counter medications the PE reportedly stands for Phenylephrine, so that may be something to take into consideration upon further investigation. Some labs will also do an analysis on the contents of the tablet for a moderate fee, if all else fails. I hope this helps! ## I also have some of these pills...I was told they were oxycodone 5mg however they do the opposite to my mind and body! Any one know what these small white pills are with what appears to be a P in the middle of seve...
Has Walgreens generic version of Chlorpheniramine (Walfinate) always been 4 mg or was there an extended release version at one point? If there was an extended release generic Walgreen's version, when was it officially discontinued? Was Wal-Finate available in the 80s or was it called something else? Thanks.
Updated in ChlorpheniramineIt's just small white round and says 'ultra' on one side and the other side just has a preforated line to break in half Every time I go to Mexico mi suegra gives me all these pills for anything from anti bitoics to allergies etc. I don't know what any of them are for ## Hi, Sarita! Mexico really doesn't have any strict regulatory agency for medications, so they aren't tracked, they aren't required to log imprints anywhere and etc. The best suggestion I can make is that the next time they give them to you, perhaps mark down what they say each is and what it's for….or just dispose of them, after you leave. Does anyone recognize the one that's been mentioned? ## I got a round lime green pill that says ultra on one side and the other is a line throu...
I cant find any info on this pill? Round White Pill A Line On One Side & CTN On The Other Side ## From what I've been able to find, a tablet with just the CTN on one side and a score line on the other is from South Africa and is a medication called Cipla-Actin, it contains the active ingredient Cyproheptadine. It is an antihistamine that's used to treat allergies, severe weight loss and several other medical issues. Learn more Cyproheptadine details here. Its most common side effects include dizziness, drowsiness and weight gain. And this information is only relevant to the tablet described, round, white, with CTN on one side and a score line on the other. There are some others in the U.S. that are available over the counter that have a CTN on one side and 10 on the opposite...
Is it safe for me to take Sinex Dayime Congestion, Pressure and Pain Liquicaps if they expired 12/2019? They contain acetaminophen and phenylephrine. Thank you for your help! ## The FDA advises against using expired medications. Ref: Expired Medication Information The main issue with solid medications is that they tend to lose efficacy over time, so they may not work as well as they did, when they were new, which sometimes tempts people to take more, and that could still result in overdose. Some liquid medications may actually go rancid, and could make you ill if you take them. The expiration date listed on a medication is the longest period of time a manufacturer can be sure of the safety, and efficacy of their product, under average storage conditions. Thus, medications don't beco...
Hi, I am looking for an equivalent of Duonase nasal spray from Cipla since its cost is on a higher side and i am looking for a cheaper substitute for the same. Appreciate your help on this. ## Hello, The Duonase nasal spray contains the following active ingredients: Azelastine Hydrochloride BP (140 mcg) + Fluticasone Propionate 50 mcg. Azelastine is an anti-allergic antihistamine and Fluticasone is a corticosteroid. This combination is used mainly in the treatment of Allergic rhinitis. I recommend that you ask your local pharmacist/chemist for a generic form of Duonase, or simply another product that contains the active ingredients mentioned above. They may be able to provide more accurate information about medications like Duonase that are available in a pharmacy near you. You may also...
How long after the expiration date can I take Chlorpheniramine Melate 4mg? I have a bottle that expired 11/2013. Thank you. ## Hello, Rochelle! How are you? Medications tend to lose efficacy over time, so it is most likely best to just dispose of it and purchase a new supply. This is available over the counter and rather inexpensive. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. ## I did purchase a new bottle. This is for my 14 - 15lb dog - do you know what the correct dosage would be for her? Previously I had a toy poodle 7 - 8 lbs & the vet prescribed 1/4 tab twice daily for allergies. Thank you for your help! ## What if its 2 yrs old? ## It depends on how you've been storing it. You may find this interesting. The military ordered some tests in an attem...
What's the name and what's it used for? ## Hi Chetniks, Just out of curiosity, what shape is this pill you're describing? So far, the closest match I've seen is a round white pill imprinted with L434 on one side and scored on the back. [Pseudoephedrine 60mg + Triprolidine 2.5mg]. I've also seen an oblong white pill imprinted with L484 - albeit the 8 could probably be mistaken for a 3 depending on the condition of the pill. [Acetaminophen 500mg] Lastly, I've also come across an oblong white pill imprinted with 44 334. [Acetaminophen 250 mg + Aspirin 250 mg + Caffeine 65 mg] Do any of these sound like a remote possibility? ## White oblong pill with 4434 on one side and blank on the other. What is this? ## oval white pill with 4434 number on one side clear on other ...
I am on 2 a day for a very itchy rash over my entire body. Three months now and it's still the same. Please advise. ## Hello, Teresa! How are you? I'm sorry for the rash. Do you mean you've been taking the Fexofenadine for 3 months and it hasn't helped? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Have you consulted a dermatologist? For a proper solution to be found, you need to find a doctor that will discover what's causing the rash. ## What use has sexosenadine hydrocloride? I found some in my daughter's belongings ## Can you please confirm the spelling on the medication bottle? It is likely referring to Fexofenadine. If so, it's used to treat allergies (antihistamine).
replacement for Visine LR ## PLEASE IF THERE IS A REPLACEMENT FOR VLR, LET US KNOW ALL THE DETAILS OF THE EYE DROPS ASAP!!!! ## From what I can discover, it seems it has been discontinued, however, on their website, they list the active ingredient as being Oxymetazoline. Ironically, it is not used in any of their other products. I am not finding a lot of over the counter products that contain it, however, Claritin Eye Allergy Relief Drops have it and so does Ocuclear. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey, I just found Visine LR at my local Walgreens today! Perhaps they've resumed production. ## Not all Walgreens carry the visine LR, which means that they are just selling what stock they have left. Not sure why visine stopped making this brand. I don't like anything els...

What is the story with these tablets? Do you get a big butt and big hips? I'm very interested to know and am tempted to take them cos im not happy with my body shape. However i read a story of a girl where she took the tablets and only one butt cheek grew, and i think it's now irreversible! ## They contain the active ingredient Cyproheptadine, which is an antihistamine that is most commonly used to treat allergic reactions. It is not safe to try to use them just to gain weight, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Just like any other medication, it carries the risk of side effects and adverse reactions. Learn more: And yes, it would be reversible, because the weight gain only lasts as long as you are taking the medication. Are there any other questions or...
I am increasingly sensitive to prescription drugs. I have been researching and have found all the ones I have had reactions to have the inactive ingredient MAGNESIUM STEARATE. It is a soy/palm tree derivative. has anyone been successful in finding RX without this? ## The best thing you can do is to let your pharmacy know of the issue, because their computerized database will automatically check for that ingredient in any medication that is prescribed for you. Learn more allergy details here. However, it may not be the magnesium stearate, at all. It is always possible that you're just sensitive to medications. What types of reactions where you having? ## I am having issue also. Results in breaking out in itchy rash symmetrically on my body. If I break out on one leg or arm, the other...
Can a man use apetito and if so, what are the side effects? ## For what reason is this supplement used? ## Can apetito be used by man if they want to gain weight? ## Appetite-increasing medications such as Appetito (cyproheptadine) are not gender oriented and can be taken by a man or woman. Please note however that cyproheptadine is an antihistamine used primarily for allergy relief and weight gain/appetite increases are merely a possible side effect; therefore this should not be relied upon as a sole means of gaining weight. Only a proper dietary regimen, adjusting one's eating habits and/or weight training are effective long-term solutions for healthy weight management. I would encourage others who may be seeking to use cyproheptadine to also consult a qualified nutritionist who c...
I want to know how many are suffering from withdrawal from this drug that causes itching all over the body. At the people's pharmacy there is an article about this very problem, yet Zyrtec doesn't list the information on their web site. This is my third attempt to get off of this med and I'm going crazy from the itching. ## If you take any medication for a long period of time, you will experience some withdrawal effects. This is just as true of allergy medications, as it is of any other. One of the most common withdrawal effects are rebound effects, so for an allergy medication, this can include itching. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? ## I keep getting itching after this. Not had it before, but it's the first time I've taken the medicine for more than a mon...
