UpdatedI have a brand new bottle Advil (ibuprofen) unopened with the seal still intact with an expiration date of may 2010 are they still good? ## @Jackie, There's actually a lot of conflicting information around the topic of expired medication, but according to a Harvard Medical School family health article, except in rare cases (i.e. tetracycline), there is little chance of danger due to taking medications even up to 15 years beyond their expiration date. This conclusion was based upon a study conducted at the request of the US military due to stockpiles of expensive drugs they could otherwise need to replace every few years. The conclusion was that 90% of those drugs remained effective 10 - 15 years after the expiration date. I don't know whether or not the drug you have happens to ...

I tested positive for benzo twice within about a ten 10 period. Before the first test I did take (1) percocette about 3 days before the test. I did have a precscrip for it. The problem is this did not show up.......something about benzo, they told me anxiety meds could cause this, I am not on anything other than beyer asprirn and a occasional advil. This urine test was at a counseling class I have to attend for alcohol. The second failed test was I reported the first one to my probation officer, he then tested me.....guess what? Benzo again, Was clean for alcohol, had detox at the end of june, have followed all the rules and trying to stay out of troub.e.. The PO called the judge and said i needed to go that day and have a blood test done (I had to pay $300.00+) for the test. Report to ...
I have a prescription for this medicine and it says to take one tablet twice daily. I get terrible terrible headaches and one simply is not enough. I usually take 2 at a time, but gave occasionally taken up to 5 in order for this medcine to work. This medicine makes me extremely dizzy (even after only taking two pills). Are there any other side effects/ long term effects other than liver damage? also, how severe is the liver damage this medicine can cause? I also heard this medicine is basically a strong Advil, is that true? Also, since only one pill does not work for me, is there a higher dose that can be considered safe? ## Before I can answer all of your questions, I need to know the specific details of what medication you're asking about. You only list Acetaminophen and Caffeine...
My 18yr old son got a false positive result from his PO on prob. for marj. My son swears he did nothing. He was ill with Mono when he tested. Took advil for the pain before going to his GP the day after. Can either the illness of advil give a false positive result. Currently in DOC with no bond ## Actually yes, the Ibuprofen in the Advil has been known to cause false positives for the THC in marijuana on the less expensive, non-certified tests. Did they happen to send it out to a lab for confirmation? Learn more drug testing details here.
Need To Identify a Small Blue Egg Shaped Gel Capsule With "P13" Imprint ## Where was it found? I haven't found it yet, but I'll keep looking and post back if I do. The description and imprint leads me to believe it's an over the counter product, perhaps a generic or store brand of Advil PM that contains Ibuprofen and Diphenhydramine. ## Loperamide HCL Soft Gelatin Capsules, 2 mg Anti-diarrheal from Banner Pharacaps, Inc. I can't remember what drug store I bought them at, either Rite-Aid or CVS.

Updatedsmall orange pill might be peach but looks orange. no numbers just a line on one side round tiny lke a mucle relaxer but might just be an advil or tylenol idk. ## If there are no markings, it is going to be difficult to say with any certainty, there are several possibilities, but many orange over the counter pills are generics, or store brands of Advil, but it could also be a supplement of some type, or something entirely different. Advil Details The best suggestion I can make is to just properly dispose of it, since you don't know what it was with any certainty. Does anyone else have any ideas?

When I take one Advil before bedtime I sleep through the night with usually only 1 bathroom visit... As an older Male I usually go 3-4 times a night without it... I have discussed with my Doctor and they see no correlation... but it works for me... Any comments? ## Have you consulted a urologist? Because actually, if you have a slightly enlarged Prostate, this makes perfect sense. The Ibuprofen in the Advil is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it may be helping to reduce swelling, so your prostate isn't putting the pressure on your bladder that it usually does, so you don't have to wake and urinate as frequently as usual. There are also a few other possibilities for where swelling could be occurring that could cause it.
round white with a y on one side and nothing on the other ## The only tablet I can find listed with just a Y on it is a yeast tablet, which some people take as a supplement and to help balance out the yeast in their body and prevent yeast infections. Do you have any other questions? ## Okay well I was looking for some pain reliever and I found an Advil bottle in my cupboard so I took 4 pills and they are round, white and have the letter Y on them.....so i was wondering if they are going to harm me in any way since I took 4 of them?
it has same color and shape of advil. the difference is that the v is smaller letter than all the over letters. All letters are lower case letters but the letter v is even smaller. ## What is the complete marking? There are many tablets on the market with the V logo, but I can't tell you anything about it, without knowing the full imprint.
