False Positive Result

My 18yr old son got a false positive result from his PO on prob. for marj. My son swears he did nothing. He was ill with Mono when he tested. Took advil for the pain before going to his GP the day after. Can either the illness of advil give a false positive result. Currently in DOC with no bond

Actually yes, the Ibuprofen in the Advil has been known to cause false positives for the THC in marijuana on the less expensive, non-certified tests.

Did they happen to send it out to a lab for confirmation?
