Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 6) (Top voted first)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I take Sandoz brand 30mg IR's. with imprint E404 and they have CHANGED! The script in June was the best and since then has went down hill. This past month I have turned into a lethargic zombie with stomach issues and weight gain. I read that Sandoz has been bought out.

I just received the teva brand off Adderall ir last week as I decided to use ir for a month or 2 so I could take a break from the Adderall XR name brand that I normally take. This was a big mistake! The last time I got ir I got some new generic that are a lighter color and start with an L those were decent. This time my CVS didn't have them in stock at all so I had to go to rite aid and I got the old orange teva ones that were good year's and year's ago. This time I got so sick from these things it's unreal! They don't do anything positive all they do is make me feel awful and depressed as well as make me nauseous. I didn't think they could make these worse but they did! I called my doctor after 2 days and told him what was going on and he agreed to ok my normal XR script fill for next week. Thank God I don't have to take these poison pills all month but I do have to wait another 5 days before I can get my name brand XR again. The tevas are worse than useless now. I wouldn't advise anyone I know to use them ever again.

Ive reported teva to the fda also to teva directly also zydus to the fda.Ive dug deep if ever your interested ive got some articles about how china and india deal with all raw active ingredients and we're being lied to about quality and effectiveness.

I had taken a 2 week vacation from Adderall/Teva to see if it would kinda “reset” my tolerance.

As I have done this numerous times, the efficacy is decent for 2 days. Then back to same old saga: Tolerance builds fast, mood starts to wane, body feels “arthritis like” especially in back- and concentrating and focus diminishes.

I attribute most of the issues with the crap filers from China, poor quality control due to so many FDA prior employees jumping ship to the manufactures...it’s the Fox guarding the Hen house..

I believe their is collusion within these generic manufactures ....perhaps not directly ( but have my suspicions that FDA is telling them to weaken the amphetamine) but they know how to skirt the FDA ( they get plenty of heads up time if their will be a factory visit).

Frustrating.

take a few moments to file a complaint to the fda, you can write out your complaint or do it over the phone, i just recently talked to a representative of my senator and will go to the other senator

I don't know about one being more or less effective than another; I've been given at least two different generics pretty interchangeably since it was first prescribed to me a couple years ago and both seemed to work fine until this week.

I started a new bottle marked Barr and on the second day suffered a mixed episode of my bipolar disorder, which has never happened before. While I'm reasonably certain I've had the Barr type before, this bottle has to be different in some way, which is possible since it's been quite a while since the pharmacy last gave it to me. Perhaps they've changed the formula or the release mechanism or something.

All my previous recent bottles have been Alvogen (I keep them for recycling). All I know is that I will absolutely never take Barr's version again, and if anyone else also suffers from bipolar disorder, you should be especially careful of it.

None of the manufacturers work. Reason being is they all get api from the same suppliers. Also api had a 50% increase in cost which the manufacturers have to absorb. Another thing their haven't been able to get api because of raw supply manufacturing shut downs which is different from a pill manufacturer. Our meds were already impacted from the sketchy manufacturers cutting corners. Also you have the dea who put a quota on the amount of meds that can be produced yearly which they screwed up on because covid caused alot of people to work from home and kids to learn from home, which increased ADHD diagnosis and a demand increase for the meds they try to regulate limits because of addicts on the streets. The FDA is terrified of drug shortages because its their responsibility to maintain the constant supply chain and we now know their funded by these same manufacturers that they inspect. It used to be based on just tax payers dollars to keep them paid. So even if they know about this they will not rush to fix it. There are a few trusted news sites and articles to get info I'd recommend not using google, they're pretty filtered in terms of reliable source it's a big monopoly. Sorry but I don't trust putting pictures of medicine info on internet. If you would like I can give you the NDC number, company names, and possibly a batch number.

You seem pretty certain of saying they did not break the law. You're giving them a bit too much credit. There's definitely ways through the system, you just need money. Anyways, there's lawsuits against pharma companies all the time. Jesus, just go look on the DOJ website.

And if you have any knowledge of the current situation with adderall shortages, you'd be aware of the fact that switching brands isn't really possible anymore. I'd be willing to bet the little money I do have that these recent batches have under 70% of the active ingredient in them. Teva has broken the law before, and paid out massive amounts of money.

Not if you're ADD or ADHD and the medication is manufactured properly. I was diagnosed ADD over 30 yrs ago. In that time I have only taken two different CNS meds. Ritalin when I was young & the same dosage of Adderall for the past 16 yrs. The past 4-5 yrs there have been significant alterations to Adderall IR. The efficiency & therapeutic properties of TEVA varies so much from month to month that it actually gives different side effects every refill. All of which are horrible. I have a friend of 30+ years who's been prescribed 30mg IR 2 x daily. He failed a urinalysis because the Adderall did NOT show up in his system at all. Nothing. This is happening to thousands of people every month. In all these years I have never experienced anxiety, mind racing while completely lethargic, on edge, irritable, depressed & zero productivity until the past few years. Each month is refill roulette. If you're lucky...you end up with the best of the worst. FDA isn't going to take any action. It's all about $$ and rest assured TEVA is lining their pockets nicely. Have you ever wondered what makes generic drugs cheaper than brand-name drugs? The problem begins with the FDA, big Pharma & a corrupt Gov't.

I have been saying this for 3 to 4 yrs. They don't work. But nothing is done. Its terrible. It appears we are going to have to deal with what the FDA says. They won't listen to us. Someone is profiting from our suffering

Wow I was looking online to see if something was wrong with adderall I have filled my last 2 scripts and said the same thing.. they forgot an ingredient cause something is missing. They do not work at all!! Something is definitely not right with these pills since May 2022..wtf???????

I want to know what other brand she uses in comparison to Teva's Adderall. Neither I nor my pharmacist can find another company that manufacturers it. I knew it was inferior before I finished my first bottle. I took their version of Vicoprofen for over a year, complaining that it didn't work-until I got one pill that knocked my socks off. I quit them 'cold turkey' and expected withdrawal symptoms, but I didn't even break a sweat. I noticed no difference at all. That's when I contacted the FDA, a total waste of time. Teva tested their own drug and declared to the FDA that it was just fine, hunky-dory, nothing wrong. Generic Cymbalta is a joke, no matter who makes it. It's so bad that even Walmart offered real Cymbalta to my niece as a preferred drugs. Doctors won't even allow her to take generic thyroid medication. At least Medicare is paying for this worthless crap, even though I have to pay for the drug policy, but that's a rant for another day.
The Adderall I took this morning isn't working, I just want to eat and lie in bed. All I care about is exposing this rip-off drug company and the FDA, which is a waste of taxpayer dollars, like most government agencies have become lately.

You're correct. There is a problem. I filled a prescription for 30mg short-acting Adderall and one pill did nothing. Two pills did nothing. Three pills did nothing. The problem lies somewhere in the FDA-DEA-Shire triangle but I haven't figured it out yet.

The 10 mg IR by Teva are just as bad as their higher mg pills. Teva has reduced the main ingredients as much as legally possible. Every pharmacy is switching to teva bc they're cheaper hence bc they are getting away with selling pills containing probably half the active drug....which is how they can afford to sell them to pharmacies at a cheaper price. I don't think the FDA cares. I'm sure they're all making a killing off this.
