Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 32) (Top voted first)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

After trying all the generics, multiple times, I settled on the Adderall XR by Shire. They do not make IR..Its clean, works, helps my anxiety. It comes on slowly but it works albiet less immediate as the bids are different size designed to last 10 years. Only drawback is price (maybe your insurance will allow as sub for generic. Then its $20. If not, copay is $100. If no insurance you'd go broke. Your Doc needs to put "Brand Necessary " on script. Good luck - and usual disclaimer- it works for me..and not Doc.

I myself have been taking teva generic “30 mg tabs“ I actually need the teva. It’s the only generic adderall my brain/body works on. I had to look at 5 different places, until my reg pharmacy received a shipment. The ones I tried were from Pharma??? So it goes to show, that some work for others n some only have 1/2 the life span. My Dr n Pharmacist both agreed with me. Everyone’s metabolism is different, and shouldn’t be allowed to decrease or increase anything by 20%. It messes with Ones mental health care.

I feel the same way, SJ. Its really distracting, pun intended! Sandbox was my second favorite after TEVA. Maybe I’ll ask pharmacist to stock Sandoz and give them a try again. Definitely though, TEVA feels like a sugar pill. Good luck to you in finding something that works!

Agreed. I think we take the same brand medication, too. Surprise, several thousand dollars a month gets you a working medication, $20 a month for any of 15 generics (or even $200 a month for 'pseudo-brand' made by the same generic-making company) gets you s***. But we're just 'conspiracy theorists' for thinking so, right?

You work in the field, do you think authorized generics are superior to plain-old generics, or does it depend on the drug? Or is it just an attempt to mollify customers who have noticed the decline in quality of generics, and the extreme difficulty to get insurance to pay for brand (and then the difficulty of finding a pharmacist to order brand--if it even exists anymore for a particular drug)?

As we all know, there is no authorized generic for Adderall IR, and no manufacturer uses the original formula that Shire did when the drug was still on patent.

Hi...after reading your post I wanted to share an ask my personal questions to you and if I’m lucky you’ll reply with the knowledge I am seeking. OK -I’ve been on Adderall 15–20 years. I never really paid attention to the manufacturer when a prescription was less affective. I figured it’s me, you know? like I’m building a tolerance. But now when I read these forums,it’s got me thinking maybe it’s not me. So my question is this...I’m on Adderall 20 mg,made By Teva and for the past two years I’ve had to supplement with over-the-counter caffeine pills called Vivarin. (it’s easier for me to take caffeine in pill form versus drinking coffee because I’m in pain in the morning and getting out of bed is difficult ) I have to use this in order to get out of bed. I am wondering if you found any Adderall that you feel works the way it’s supposed to because I’m not sure I’ve ever felt the way it supposed to work except it Sure doesn’t feel like it did years ago. And I’m sick of taking this caffeine because my gut hurts and it makes me nauseous. I appreciate any feedback you can offer me and I hope you’re doing well and found good medicine for yourself, take care.

Absolute proof that there is either no/very little amphetamine in your medication or there is something else in the pills altering the effect of the mixed amphetamine salts. Weight gain and/or increased hunger is the opposite of what happens in amphetamine. Anyone else experience this? I got the unbearable increased hunger on TEVA IR recently (no such thing on brand name by Shire, which is sadly gone) but thankfully no weight gain.

I use to take Zydus manufacturer for my adderall script, but it’s hit or miss if my pharmacy ends up getting them. I never had any bad effects from Zydus, it was the first and only manufacturer I use to use over a year ago until I took a break from my script. Now stuck with these Teva/Barr pills it’s such a disappointment not being able to function when taking these. I literally feel no benefits like I should, it’s the most frustrating feeling!

So the recall was the reason i couldn't get my normal teva brand adderall?
I am only on my first full day of having the Lannett pharmaceuticals 20mg adderall. I don't have an opinion on it yet
Even though I prefer the teva brand it's still nothing like it was in strength years ago. At first I thought it was only narcotics that so many pain patients are having to do without, it's not just pain medication it has to do with all the drugs that are controlled. The medacine lately is so weak it makes someone wonder what's in our meds.

TEVA Adderall ONLY!!!!! (Orange oval football shape)...The absolute best ingredient. I’ve taken Adderall for over 25 years. I consider myself an expert in knowing variations of different Adderall.......DO NOT let any physician or pharmacist tell you the lie that “all Adderall is the same”...because it is NOT! There is only one adderall made of good quality which is made in Israel by TEVA Pharmaceuticals. The rest of the junk like Alvogen, Lannett, Sun Pharmaceuticals are all made with low grade generic fillers from China and a India. Refuse this junk fillers. Demand your rights!!!

You have the legal right to refuse junk from Asia and demand TEVA and if your pharmacy is out it’s because it’s the best! Take your script to a pharmacy or call around to your local pharmacies to find out who sells TEVA. Until recently Walmart had the TEVA contract but they lost it trying to save a penny. However, Walgreens now has it and maybe some other local pharmacies. It’s worth waiting for TEVA as there are no comparisons between TEVA and the low quality of these other off brands and many thousands of patients have written these companies complaining. Write the FDA a complaint was well because the junk from China does not work.. Need more proof?? Refer to the thousands upon thousands of complaints on Reddit about how TEVA is the only Adderall that works. It will blow your mind. My advice is do not accept the crap from China and India. If it does come from Europe/Israel leave it with the pharmacist and find you a new pharmacist.

Alvogen and other generics make me sick because it taste like what I assume rat poison would taste like, accept TEVA Only. It’s in big demand for one reason because it works! No, I do not work for TEVA and have no connection with the company. This is my tried and true opinion over a 25 year period... I’m just sick and tired of these lying physicians and pharmacist telling me “they are all the same”. Hell no they not! If they were then we would only need one name brand, right? Demand TEVA Adderall as it makes all the difference trust me. It’s worth your time to locate a pharmacist in your area that offers this quality drug. Google the TEVA difference and read the complaints for yourself.

Sorry to say this but you adderall patients are experiencing exactly what lorazepam users are going through. Teva bought lorazepam from actavis, it was just a matter of time. Teva only responds to their shareholders. I have been on 1 mg of lorazepam for over 25 years, and for most of those years i stuck with 1 company, actavis. Unfortunately every time actavis was sold the new company waters down the old companies product making it worthless. I have listed comment after comment in the lorazepam forum letting people know to first contact the fda, in most cases they are worthless but at some point a legal team will get involved and people who have been abused by big pharma will also be able to go after the fda

Wanted to give a quick update. Teva was unavailable for a couple of months at my pharmacy. I was given Northstar (I actually liked) and Alvogen (Made me feel I had OD'ed on caffeine) for those 2 months Teva was out of stock. This refill they had Teva back and I can say this med has absolutely no effect on me and does not help me function as an Adderall should. I will be filing a med report. I urge everyone to do the same or the chances of correction are slim to none.

theres indepentant labs that can tell you whats in the garbage that the big pharma sends out, im in the process of looking for one my self, also the fda told me of a website that will tell you exactly whats in your med, good luck

Teva at one time was the most effective generic Adderall

They have definitely changed their formula..I am guessing
the ratio if d-amphetamine to l-amphetamine is not balanced,
with more l-amphetamine
