Adderall Manufactured By Teva Not Working (Page 31) (Top voted first)

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA?

I take 20 mg 3x a day. Teva is the manufacture and it was filled at Walgreens 11/2018. Not working, just changed to 20 mg about 4 months ago.

I’ve only been taking adderall ir generic Teva consistently for one year. 20 mgs TEVA/BARR 2x daily or broken up to 10mgs as needed worked perfectly. In June/July picked up rx took as prescribed and nothing. This went on for 2 weeks the bottle now just said TEVA.
Here I am now from 40 mgs now barely functioning on 60-90mgs of TEVA 30 mg ir tablets.
I’ve also GAINED 15 pounds since being put on the 30mg ir.
I’m in Colorado, this was happening at Walgreens but I’m done with Teva I can not continue the weight gain and there is absolutely no way that one week my dosage of 40-50mgs worked to having to switch to the 30mg ir and 90 mgs barely being effective. I reported to FDA and actually got a call from a Indian gentleman working for Teva but nothing will be done.

Hi, the adderall ir by Teva formally Teva/Barr 20 mgs 2-3 times per day completely stopped working in May/June 2018. It Literally felt like nothing but I gave it 2 weeks because I finally after a year I found my “sweet spot” I never abused them but I got my refills of 20’s and from one day to the next they simply didn’t work.
My pdoc put me on 30 ir Tevas I ended up at 60 this last few months now I’m up to 90 and feel irritated, bloated gain 15lbs. There is way my tolerance went up from one day to the next!

I requested to try 20’s again 2-4 times a day but I wish there was another brand. So yes the generic ir comes on 10-20-30 and maybe 15. Yes I broke them up my pdoc advised me to play with the dose.
I’m usually 110, 5’2 and never just gain wait but I know it’s this awful generic!

FDA Medwatch is where you report it. and/or the manufacturer, it then becomes a 'customer complaint' which has to be recorded, tracked and investigated by the manufacturer. under 21CFR Part 210,211

Thank you so much for your time to get with me. My doctor seems to be playing games.one visit he will give me 20 mg x3 the next visit I see him he seems very grumpy and gives me only 2 day and says that's all anyone's needs. On utube is a doctor Charles parker who says not everyone is the same so different does for each individual. So I have the teva the are orange. When I only am allowed 2 a day I find myself running out at the end of the month. That's not good..I want to ask for the 30mg x 3 it seems that's the sweet spot for me.some times mine tastes very sweet when I put them on my tongue. Are the supposed to taste that way...I read everyone seems to be having the Same problem as me thinking I'm not getting my adhd under control so at the moment I feel lost and confused expeccily with my adhd I'm scattered all over nothing is organized or getting done and I'm more sleepy. I just wanted to see if they did come in 30s so u just gave me the answer it helps me out a lot thx again

I will mention what my m.d. told me about generics....is when the pills are on the assembly line for inspection is when they find one that's something wrong with it, is they just take the one out and toss it..meaning if they find even just one that they should toss the whole batch,. If something is wrong with just one, chance are something is wrong with every single pill that follows from that batch..now I will add this was not coming from my adhd doctor..just came from my health doctor. Because I had brought up that I felt something was wrong with my tablets of buprenorphine. She said it could be I need brand name or a different generic because of the different inactive ingredients in the pills..I'm not disagreeing or agreeing with anyone just making a statement about different generics that I'm just finding out and never knew. That sounds about right, Charlene. I know that one generic is different from another generic, given the differences in fillers and other inactive ingredients. For instance, Sandoz adderall does nothing for me, while Teva/Barr does. (Or did, I haven't taken Barr for about 6 years. I hear it's changed. Now I take name-brand sustained-release adderall. Anyone in Massachusetts know of any doctors that will prescribe oxycodone 30 mg tablets? I have a history of taking them and now I'm on suboxone. It does not work for pain, only withdrawals from them. I'm tired of it. I want my back pain to go away. Please help.

Hello, I read your post about the new Sandoz 30mg. Sandoz was known to be a good generic, then there was a halt in production, in late 2018, Costco didn’t have them for a long while, they do now but I have been feeling exactly how you mentioned..
Any advice?

They have changed. If you look at the bottle it says Epic Pharma makes them now. Weak.

Now, Aurobindo owns Sandoz generic (finalize deal later in 2019.)

Sandoz sold 300 generics and their dermatology business so who knows what you'll get!

Who knows what gets put out to market when that deal closes.

Try the Epic. It may just be the old formula.

Hello anyone, I'm somewhat new to adderall and I'm prescribed 20mg. Two weeks ago I found out they are on backorder until?? I mean not one pharmacy had them and said the same thing within 20 miles of my area here in Florida. I have two questions for anyone, the first is I go to my doctor this Monday with my situation and he might prescribe something else since I can't get these... vyvanse 70mg is the only other one I've had problem with it is my high copay with my insurance for that one, any ideas of what I should accept and not accept?? And 2nd question is one time I went to a pharmacy and they gave me an adderall 20mg. They were white and I think like a stop sign shaped. They didn't work for me I dont know what manufacturers they came from and I don't want to get stuck with those again..the ones I take now are orange from Walgreens maybe teva brand?? ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREAT THX

Hi. I'm not in your area. However the bumper into your post...I have been on buprenorphine treatments since 2005. I read a lot on these medschat forums. What I can offer is advice on this medication...first of all I would never accept suboxone. I take subutex, which name brand is not around. But a new generic came about recently (buprenorphine). Purdue / "Rhodes" 8mg buprenorphine has been the first generic that actually lives up to being the closest drug to subutex.

I came back to let you know of another medschat forum to read positive posts for buprenorphine called "Rhodes/Purdue buprenorphine HCL 8mg RP B8 VS ROXANNE 54 411". Goozer will be the person who made this discussion thread what it is today. Now he too takes this for pain and so do a lot of others so I thought you might get some feedback with this medication. Until you could find the pain medication you're looking for, I have found so many people using this med because of the crisis of pain pills not being available. If you have insurance most like mine will pay for 8mg x 3 daily. So if a doctor prescribes 4 8mgs that's an extra 30 you will have to cover. Now I will admit between suboxone vs subutex there's a big difference. Just plain buprenorphine without naloxone is way better of a medication. I didn't know if you knew this or not? Good luck.

I'm not sure who manufactures my particular prescription, but I just received my refill & noticed the label saying the look of the pills were different. They are definitely not the same & not just looks wise. I take 30mg generic every day & these are just not as strong by a long shot. How would I go about looking into this? I honestly just found this forum from a google search & thankfully the first thing I saw was your comment.

You can just Google the markings on the pill and it should tell you the manufacturer. The most complained about generics tend to be Aurobindo and Malinckrodt. The rest seem to vary based on the user and specific batches.

Apparently Shire is also made by Teva now. Did you ever try corepharma back in the day before they discontinued it? There's a manufacturer who bought their recipe cape called, EPIC... I have read reviews about it and they say it is identical to The Olde Pink corepharma pills that were amazing and got discontinued. Unfortunately I only had a chance to take them for two months I had never had them before when I moved back home to Atlanta that's what I started getting filled with my new doctor. And then all the sudden they weren't able to get them and I got these Mallinckrodt buls***; don't ever accept them because I think they're in a lawsuit over this. Nobody can identify the ingredients and not even the employees. There's all kinds of stuff in the media about it. Stay away from that crap and I know what you mean about the aurobindo. That stuff is junk garbage. Hot garbage okay LOL.
