These are horrible, Accord Clonazepam. I'll be glad when I get my new script and can go back to TEVA.

2mg Clonazepam made by Accord - Are they from China? What negative things did they cause?

Re: JJ (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

I just received the Accord yesterday. Pretty bad, very weak. I would give anything to get any.other manufacturer clonazepam than Accord. I think it has more fillers in it rather than active ingredients. All pharmacies in my area carry Accord and no other brand. I'm stuck and when I run out if this batch I have no other pharmacy to use. Accord is the cheapest and that's why pharmacies are buying them. FDA needs to check and see if these are substandard. To me, they are terrible.

Yes I'm with you. I never noticed or questioned generics. Nowadays we, the consumer get what they give us. Also a pharmacist told me Medicare/medicade get the cheap stuff. Those with non welfare get the best quality. I personally preferred Qualitest until they stopped. Now I have been on benzos 25yrs my tolerance is so high I just stay out of withdrawal on any brand. The Accord 1mg are fine. The worst which I hear people prefer Teva the 1mg put me in withdrawal. So as my beloved Dylan laments even today "the times are a changing". I supplement with xanax occasionally but it's not about quality, all about quantity for a business now. I swear there are different effective pills in each batch. I hope someday to be free or can I get brand??? Do they still make it? God bless

Re: Ames (# 17) Expand Referenced Message

These drugs do One thing to one person and something else to another. The only one that works for me is the Accord. The Teva is terrible. Another reason we are having problems with these drugs is that they are coming in from other countries. I received a prescription for Amoxicillin plus another drug and it is made in SLOVENIA. Not sure I want to take it.

Re: Michele (# 21) Expand Referenced Message

This is just an Accord user because Mylan isn't available. The Accord got so bad that I did a lot of research and in about three weeks, I tapered down to .125 mg, two or three times a day. I'm no longer dopey, the anxiety is hardly ever. If I don't feel anxious in the afternoon, I skip the afternoon tiny chunk. The Accord also gave me a giant headache and my heart was way too noticeable. Even one fourth of the Accord was toxic to me. There are different ways to taper. This worked for me - check with your doctors on tapering. I just got very lucky most of the side effects are gone or minimal. I still wake up a lot but I did that before the Accord due to all night radio; drift in and out. I'd rather take the Mylan. I can wait it out now.

Re: Michele (# 21) Expand Referenced Message

Yup. They're supposed to be the same. Generics are definitely not the same. I can't take TEVA or Sandoz. I can barely take Accord. It is too strong for me and maybe it drugs me but doesn't metabolize for me cuz it causes stuff I never had. For me, Mylan worked. I am tolerating Accord but it is just too strong for me but causes anxiety which I never had before - it's new to me to feel anxious. I took the Mylan just for sleep. Feeling anxious is horrible. I know it's the accord, not me. I hope you find what works for you. We are ALL different.

I have always taken Teva Brand 1mg clonazepam for my anxiety and panic disorder. Teva brand has been very good and reliable. After picking up my monthly prescription at my pharmacy I saw these little blue pills (the Accord brand). UGH! I might as well take baby aspirin or sugar pills because the 1MG clonazepam by Accord does NOT METABOLIZE in my body. I just started a new job last week and my anxiety has been off the charts. Mylan Brand clonazepam does not metabolize in my body either. Life has been absolute hell this month. I started having panic attacks at age 16 and now I am 51 years old. I had to call around to several pharmacies to find one that carries the Teva brand. I'm sorry that we have to deal with this crap.... having a disease or disorder is bad enough.

Re: Jeans (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

Accord is tricky. You can have withdrawal symptoms if you cut the dose to fast. At this point, even one/fourth of a 1 mg is too strong. I take a chunk smaller than that more than once a day. You can't try to be alert and skip a daytime dose or you will have issues at night. I'm just a consumer; not a medical person. This has been over a month of taking. The less the better but you have to decide when to take the daytime ones and the night one and decide what is too little or too much. I hate the dopey feeling. I can't get much done at all. I think it also depends on a person's size and what they take it for. I call Mylan customer service to keep ckg on the status of that. As bad as Accord is, I do not want to begin trying the "zepams" out there, i.e. diazepam (valium is smoother) but it is strong too. Mylan fit the bill and I wasn't ever dopey feeling.

Re: Mylan Bestie (# 18) Expand Referenced Message

I have been on Mylan for 25 years and recently it seems weaker unless I built a tolerance. Took Accord and slept great but had a major headache and felt drugged the next day. Maybe Accord is stronger and I can cut my dose? Anyone have any thoughs on Mylan verses Accord?

Re: JJ (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Accord is horrible. It changed my lifestyle. It causes anxiety that I never had on Mylan. I just took Mylan for sleep and now I can't sleep and have anxiety and trouble eating and if you like to feel drugged instead of alert, Accord may appeal to you.

Sandoz has always worked the best for my son. When they switched manufacturers to Teva it was a disaster!! I found out today that Sandoz has discontinued making Clonazepam, so I chose to try Accord. All I hope is that it works similar to the Sandoz brand. He is very sensitive to the additives/ inactive ingredients in certain meds. Fingers crossed!!

Accord is Chinese. It made my grandson have full blown grand mal seizures. The day we got our hands on Mylan they stopped.

I hate when the pharmacy switches brands on me , especially to a brand I never heard of! I don't know what to expect. No one mentioned using Sandoz clonazepam? New brand is Accord. Will let you know.

Re: Matt (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

My Son had a similar reaction. He was Suicidal, then violent and panicking.
Klonopin usually puts him to sleep but the new blue ones just seemed to further agitate him. I can't find much on the maker or the inactive ingredients. He also seemed to have an increase in Seizure activity.

I preferred the Accord over the Teva brand, myself.

Re: JJ (# 11) Expand Referenced Message

Has Mylan filled with the Accord brand and I’m having interpose withdrawal. It does not last the same time frame as the Mylan. I’m pissed off and yelling at everyone or crying, not sleeping and it makes me feel sick. I called Walgreens and let them know that I would switch pharmacies if this was going to be their new Clonazepam med!!!

Mike, I refilled mine today at Walgreens; they gave me Accord, which I have never used. Mine has always been mfg by Mylan. I was very pleased with the Mylan...I am very hesitant about the Accord. I hope it gives me the same results!

Re: Verwon (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Accord works great for me. I've been on it for many years. Teva does nothing. It all depends on how a person's body processes the drug and what fillers are in it. They may even have the same fillers but in different amounts.

Re: Mike (# 5) Expand Referenced Message

Wal Mart pharmacy EXCLUSIVELY offers only the Accord brand; they used to be able to order any clonazepam generic (That's where I got my Qualitest clonazepam ordered after Target switched to CVS) but about six months ago they told me that they contracted solely with Accord (Exactly the way Walgreens contracted with Mylan..which still makes me laugh at its absurdity). Qualitest tho is truly, by far, the best generic. In the ten years I have been on this medicine- not even the Roche brand name Klonopin comes close to its efficacy.
