Updated

These are horrible, Accord Clonazepam. I'll be glad when I get my new script and can go back to TEVA.

Re: Openminded (# 114) Expand Referenced Message

I'm glad the clonazepam by Accord manufacturer works for you! I had 30 days of Hell on it. I was having horrible withdrawal symptoms with the Accord brand! Best of luck to you.

J (# 123) - when King Soopers refused to refill my prescription unless I accepted the Accord/ clonazepam I transferred my prescription to Walgreens. Walgreens was able to provide me with the Teva/ clonazepam up until August of 2018 they were no longer able to order it for me. So I had to switch to Solco/ clonazepam manufacturer. This is so upsetting. I'm tired of other people making my Healthcare decisions for me!

Re: Matt (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

You are so correct in what u wrote. I am in the same boat. This horrible, horrible company 'accord' makes their product in china. The klonopin or generic does not work the same way as both mylan and teva. Teva bought actavis and they are not making it. Should be in pharmacies by now. Warn everyone: accord is the worst! It not only does not work, it makes one almost nuts with what it causes. I've just convinced costco to get me back my actavis/teva. They just ordered it for me today. Smith's (kroger) refused to use anyone but accord. Think I will sell my kroger stock.

Re: J (# 112) Expand Referenced Message

Mylan and Actavis are no longer being manufactured. Big Pharma has us by the short hairs because although there are alternatives if you ask for a list of manufacturers of clonazepam, I wonder how many of them are still being manufactured. BP is bound and determined to get all generics off the market because according to some pundit, clonazepam is the most dangerous drug on the market - therefor the crunch on the opioid crisis. Apparently the drug of choice for the elite, etc., which leaves the rest of us who NEED it out in the cold.

Re: J (# 112) Expand Referenced Message

J, do you know what pharmacies or pharmacy carries Mylan? That's the only one other than the now discontinued Teva brand that actually works very well for me and I like.

Re: J (# 115) Expand Referenced Message

You're very welcome. It feels good to have other people understand us that have issues with anxiety and that don't respond well to all brands. Some of these docs think it's all in our heads when we know it's not. Best of luck ??

Re: Diane (# 116) Expand Referenced Message

Diane, I know Teva no longer makes clonazepam. I'm not sure if the company got bought out. But do you know if the Mylan brand is still being made, if it's available? And do you know at what pharmacies or pharmacy?

Brian, just to let you know, Teva no longer makes clonazepam. I'm not even sure if the brand still exists or if it's been bought out. I'm having the same problem. Teva was my favorite generic brand for clonazepam. The Mylan generic brand was good for me too. But I have been calling big chain pharmacies and even smaller mom and pap pharmacies and can't get a hold of either one of them. They will not even make special orders for specific brands if the customers request it. I take the 2mg. tablets. I'm really upset.

Re: Roberta (# 14) Expand Referenced Message

So sorry this happened to you. You would think the doctor would get involved. My psychiatrist here in Portland Maine says she cannot specify a brand when calling in the prescription. So that leaves me to call dozens in the area who have the ones I can take available. No blue ones for me.

After years of using Mylan clonazepam I started getting refill after refill of a different manufacturer every month, so I asked my doctor to order Klonopin. That way I don't have to worry about whether it will work or not.

Re: Joe (# 110) Expand Referenced Message

HI. I've tried Mylan as well as Teva. Although I prefer Teva due to the texture of the tablet - it can be split in 4 or even 8 pieces with a pill splitter if done carefully. Mylan maybe in 4ths if done very carefully. But it tends to crumble when split in anything more than halves - when I took Mylan clonazepan, it seemed to work just about as well as Teva. I've never tried Actavis. Accord Healthcare seems watered down, weak. You almost don't feel anything on it although it did get rid of my clonazepan withdrawal symptoms after being out of my 2mg clonazepan for 30 full days of hell. Accord is very awkward. It surprised me when my withdrawal symptoms went away completely since I didn't feel any of the familiar effects when the clonazepan starts taking effect. But I guess it did its job, at least for me.

Re: Verwon (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for pointing this out actually over the past year I've noticed. Ones I take are 2 mg and what I do because I only get 30 a month now, I take half in the morning half and afternoon because that's when my panic attacks were always at their worst. The Panic has returned horribly over the past year and yes they are different... I will be sure to mention it to the pharmacist because I only mentioned it to the doctor and in the state I live in, is extremely strict even for someone like me who's had to take a type of benzo for over 20 years for extreme panic attacks, agorphobia, Etc. They now favor Clonazepam& no more than 30 a month. Basically in a nutshell the doctor is saying no it cannot be the medicine, that it should be working that I should not be having extreme panic attacks and also deepened depression. I will definitely check out the pharmacy angle next month and I hope it helps thank you for informing everybody.

I just filed a complaint with the F.D.A. after learning that you had done so. Other users of the ACCORD generic who are having difficulties using this brand can make a complaint at: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch

There are no Teva's available in the State of Maine. I tried all the others and Mylan seems to be working for me but unfortunately a lot of pharmacy's here in Portland, Maine, don't carry them.
