All In Need Of Opiates For Pain Management Here Is Help
UpdatedALL PAIN SUFFERS LIKE ME BEING MISTREATED AND UNDER-MEDICATED LOSING MEDS. GO TO THE WHITE HOUSE'S WEB SITE: WE THE PEOPLE, AND SCROLL DOWN TO THE PETITIONS AND FIND THE ONE FOR PAIN MANAGEMENT REFORM ASKING, DEA TO KEEP OUT OF PATIENT DOC RELATIONS; EXCLUDING PAIN MANAGEMENT FROM THE WAR ON DRUGS.
DO YOU NO THE DEA WANTS TO MORE MONEY FROM GOV FOR JOBS ETC SO THEY WANT TO KEEP US FROM HAVING OUR MEDS SO THEY HAVE MORE MONEY AND GET BIGGER AND MORE CONTROL. THE HEAD OF DEA SHOULD HAVE TO UDERGO SOME PAIN FUL PROCEEDURES WITH NO PAIN MEDS THEN SEE HOW IT FEELS. I AM SO SORRY FOR ALL OF YOU THAT GO THROUGH WHAT I DO AN I TO JUST LOST MY PAIN CLINIC DUE TO DEA AND MANY PATIENTS ARE LEFT IN THE DARK TO SUFFER GO THROUGH SERIOUS WITH DROWLS. AND DEATH FOR SOME. TRUTH IS IF WE DONT GET PAIN MEDS THERE WILL BE SELF MEDICATIING, ILLEGAL DRUG USE, MENTAL ILLNESS (PAIN CAUSES DEPRESSION AND DESPRATION)) IF YOU ARE IN ENOUGH PAIN OR SEE YOUR LOVE ONE IN THAT MUCH PAIN YOU WILL DO ANYTHING TO HELP. THAT IS SCARY THAT ITS COME TO THAT..
WE THE PEOPLE CAN NOT GET OUR BASIC RIGHTS TO PAIN CONTROL. I AM DIEING AND CAN NOT GET HELP. ITS CRAZY AND TAKS SO LONG TO GO THRU RED TAP REFERALS ETC TO EVEN GET INTO NEW CLINIC TAKES DOCTORS HELP AND TIME. WHAT DO YOU DO IN MEAN TIME WHEN GEN DOC DONT PRESCRBE OPIATES ANYMORE. I HAVE HAD 3 BLEEDS IN BRAIN AND HEART FALURE FROM PAIN. NOT HEART DESEASE THAT S HOW BACK PAIN CAN EFFECT YOUR BODY. I HAVE TRIED ALL THERE IS AND WHEN I WAS GIVEN ANTIDEPRESSANT FOR PAIN (WHICH IS GIVEN LIKE CANDY AND NOT MEANT FOR PAIN) CAUSED ME TO HAVE SUICIDAL THOUGHTS AND I HAD ATTEMPT TO TAKE MY LIFE DUE TO SUFFERING LACK OF PAIN CONTROL AFTER SURGERY.
NOW 6 YEAR LATER WE NO ANTI DEPRESSANTS CAN CAUSE THOSE THOUGHTS ESPECIALLY WHEN GIVEN WRONG REASON. GAMBIAN ANOTHER NEW PAIN SUBSTITURE IS SAME AND ACTS ON BRAIN IS DANGEROUS DID NOTING AND CAUSED DEPRESSION, AND MADE ME FEEL CRAZY. I DONT FEEL HIGH OFF PAIN MED THEY JUST HELP ME TO DEAL W PAIN.,I HAVE BEEN ON THEM OVER 25 YEARS OVER 40 SURG CANCER, CHRONIC PAIN OF MANY KINDS AND IT ONLY MADE MY QUALITY OF LIFE BETTER IF I DON'T GET THEM I I WILL DIE AND MY HEART ETC WILL REACT PAIN DOES KILL. IF NOT TREATED TAKES YEARS OFF LIFE AND ADS STRESS AND LOWER IMMUNITY. GET REAL I THOUGHT THAT IS WHAT PAIN CONTRACTS WERE SUPPOSE TO PROTECT DOCTOR AND PATIENTS. WHY ARE DOCTORS NOT CARING ANYMORE NOT ALL BUT MOST AND UPHOLDING THERE OATH TO SERVE AND TREAT WITH NO DISCRIMINATION ETC. ALL THIS IN USA. SPEAK OUT WHERE IT WILL DO SOME GOOD. IT MAY BE TOO LATE FOR ME, BUT I HAVE HOPE FOR THE FUTURE. SIGN THE PETITION ON WE THE PEOPLE.

I am going through such a similar problem. Once a person has a diagnosis of a severe chronic pain illness is when that person should not be involved in these New laws. We should not be part of I stop once diagnosed. There is no pursuit of happiness when your being persecuted for being in pain. It seems like it's discriminating against the disabled.
Thanks for posting Grandma Pat. I empathize with much of what you said, and I just wanted to add that you are not alone in fighting for what's right. The truth is out there for everyone who is willing to listen and I hope those who stand up for themselves will be able to find the level of care/treatment they truly deserve sooner than later - Although we can't give up the faith no matter what outside circumstances try to shake it off. So this here is a message of encouragement to all to continue spreading light and following through with our own due diligence in the face of adversity. These stories we share do have a positive impact on others who may still be searching for answers.
Amen I was on opiates for my back and hips. Dea shut Dr down so now I am on suboxone. Seems like a conspiracy. Its like take 5 30 mg oxycodone and Percocet for breakthrough pain and xanex for my social anxiety. When Nnm I was on those meds I was not high. Now they give me 3 8mg suboxone a day and lexapro which makes me suicidal. Its such crap to have to live this way the subs are no better than the oxycodone still have to go to Dr once a month and the subs are four times the cost of my oxycodone 30 mgs. Can I sware its a conspiracy! !!#
You can also contact the government and file a Human Rights complaint against Dr for not maintaining your health and making you suffer.
Also per HIPPA they are to follow a standard and have a PLAN for you and to keep records of your life either doing better or worse. Also responsible to get you healthier before just doing NOTHING and you go thru withdrawal depression anxiety become mentally unstable and even worse die from what has happened. Check all your medical records and confirm everything that is happening is noted, if not you can ask to amend them. There are repercussions for Dr not following the law!
Please read HIPPA INFO it's amazing what is supposed to happen and reality. People are just not aware because that hole thing can be to much to comprehend and to follow through so this doesn't happen to others.
Please advise me on where I can write to stop the DEA from meddling in Chronic Pain treatment? That may take me days to write due to my chronic pain that runs all through my body. My chronic pain dr of 20 yrs. was closed by the DEA practicing medicine & I can't get my dr of 20 yrs to send my records of treatments before I started with him to show all I've been through? Any ideas on how to get my records? All my old dr's dont keep records of patients they haven't seen in 20 yrs? Thanks. {edited for privacy}
if i have taken two defferent drugs means tables at one time names Avil"+ Predizilone ,i have used treatment of ellergic ,i sow more sleepness .
Where do I write about the DEA treatment of chronic pain patients? The DEA is not medical society. They're threatening dr's so they can't practice medicine the way it should be done. Too many patients left to live a agonizing life of pain. {edited for privacy}
Those records belong to you; they have to give them to you! They're probably just being lazy; since you have been a patient for so long they probably just don't want to go through the hassle of getting all your records together. Seeing as how they'd have to go through their storage. You'll have to pay for them but they can not deny you your records, period!
It is still up to each doctor to prescribe for each patient what they believe in their professional judgement is best. Unfortunately, many doctors blame the DEA, FDA, CDC, etc because they don't want to hear their patients thoughts on the subject.
At the time I write this, Federal Laws states a patient has the right to get a copy of their medical records. It is possible this may be changed in the near future because it is part of the ACA. They may have to pay a fee for the copies. The only exception is if the doctor is a mental health doctor.
"Access-
Only you or your personal representative has the right to access your records.
A health care provider or health plan may send copies of your records to another provider or health plan only as needed for treatment or payment or with your permission.
The Privacy Rule does not require the health care provider or health plan to share information with other providers or plans."
Charges-
A provider cannot deny you a copy of your records because you have not paid for the services you have received.
However, a provider may charge for the reasonable costs for copying and mailing the records. The provider cannot charge you a fee for searching for or retrieving your records.
Provider’s Psychotherapy Notes-
You do not have the right to access a provider’s psychotherapy notes.
Psychotherapy notes are notes that a mental health professional takes during a conversation with a patient. They are kept separate from the patient’s medical and billing records. HIPAA also does not allow the provider to make most disclosures about psychotherapy notes about you without your authorization.
Corrections-
If you think the information in your medical or billing record is incorrect, you can request a change, or amendment, to your record. The health care provider or health plan must respond to your request. If it created the information, it must amend inaccurate or incomplete information.
If the provider or plan does not agree to your request, you have the right to submit a statement of disagreement that the provider or plan must add to your record.

I am in Louisiana,a chronic pain victim, with 2 failed spine surgeries, and I need a hip replacemeny, an ankle re-do,and both knees replaced. This is disgusting that I spend my entire disability check on pain pills on the street.I can go to prison over pai. This has got to stop.Embeda, made by Phizer,is morphine and naloxone. It works great. But only 2 dr.s in the entire state knows it exists! Start nailing your state reps, congress members and ask Pfizer to target your area.We CAN do this!
DEA actions on my only pain has made me to be force into a bedbound life at 62 yrs old. Ive written my dr in the last two yrs & called Phila DEA both give up nothing. I've tried new dr but only wants to do same things that failed to relieve pain my ten yrs before opioid management. Injections anti inflammatory surgery & all after chiropractic tens, this is crazy at my age I refuse to add to my suffering by wasting my last decade or to being non functioning but retrying these failed therapies. I need to self care not to add to my suffering!!!
Re: Christine (# 11)
I find it hard to believe anyone that is bed bound would not do everything their doctor asked them to do in order to be prescribed pain medications. In other words, if a new doctor wants you to try things that have not worked in the past. And they might prescribe pain medications if they do not work. Why not try them again ?
When a person is bed bound. They are not able to grocery shop, prepare meals, dress themselves, shower, etc. If you are telling your doctor you are bed bound. But, you do not have someone to do the things you cannot do for yourself. And they go with you to your doctors appointments. It is highly likely your doctor does not believe your pain is as severe as you say it is. Doctors need to know a patient is not lying to them.
If you are truly bed bound. You need to tell your doctor every detail on how this affects your ability to function. Doctors can tell when a patient is truly. bed bound. Doctors can also tell when a patient is just saying they are bed bound.
IF your petition hasn’t worked. I want to make new one since I just learned that within 2 years there will not be any made except if you have cancer or are dying. I plan on calling the White House to ask for a meeting. Because I feel this is very wrong & backwards to a barbaric Age. What if you are in a bad accident get tons of surgery the expect you to not scream out in pain & give you Advil? This will drive up Drug Dealers smh & the other 1/2 & I vouch for myself will kill myself even if It is against my religion.
I am tired of the pain I didn’t choose it for myself a Patient & Doctor who messed up & stuck a needle to far in for a spinal tap. Doc this to me along with genetics in my other health issues & this started in my early 40’s which is well over 13 years ago. I also have a friend who has neurofibromatosis now you can live with that and less you have tumors inside of you and she has one in her brain she has an implant of a morphine pump which took her two years of fighting to get she won’t live like the rest of us to even see 40 because of how many she has inside her head and various parts inside because it also affects the inside of your body as well as the outside.
I hope that a lot of members on here that are legit disabled people sign my petition when it is done so I can have enough signatures to stay my case & or if you want to approach Congress & the White House with me just ask. I would be happy to get help in this matter. If you are a lawyer on here feel free to comment. Also I forgot to add I just got a letter from my insurance that all pain med. Production is now at 25% my Pharmacy verified this & this is what they plan to do to get us off pain meds until they make none. Please comment.
I had an 8 year addiction to opioids after a major spine surgery. I finally decided that I wanted off of that endless spiral of addiction and no one would help me, so I successfully weaned myself off of Methadone and I back actually hurts less without my pain meds. Over the course of those 8 years I overdosed 4 times and probably should be dead... Thank you Narcan. There is life after the opioids are gone.
Help is here for some. There is no doubt that help is not here for all who live in constant pain. I chose to go on Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex et al.). I took it both in pill form and the plastic strip. Both require holding it under the tongue so it can disintegrate as it purportedly must be absorbed vs. swallowed. But two things happened to me on placing either form under my tongue: first, I would immediately begin to salivate causing the contents of the drug to be swallowed; second, the dosage was never right. Whether it was the drug or the method of it entering my system, I began vomiting each and every time I took a dose. I lost almost 50 pounds in less than six months. Having no more weight to shed, I was forced to stop the drug. I will never take it again.
