I feel kind of light-headed but in no need of emergency. ## It can be taken either way, but since it may cause some nausea, and dizziness, according to NIH reports, some people do better taking it with food. Other side effects are listed as possibly including headache, drowsiness, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Can I use this drug for tooth pain? ## ask ur doctor ## Have you discussed it with your dentist? While Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, is an effective narcotic pain reliever that is often given for toothaches, it is not going to help with whatever the problem is that is causing the toothache. It is just a temporary solution. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: ## The dosage you have is one of the higher doses available, so I wouldn't doubt that it would help with the pain (as it is used to treat moderate to severe pain); but whether or not it is the best option for your situation is not something anyone online can answer. Can I take both Ibuprofen IB tablets (2) and one Hydrocodone - APAP (5-325mg) tablet for my pain every 6 hours? ## Have you been instructed to take them both? They are sometimes prescribed together to help get better control of severe pain due to such conditions. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

My doctor prescribed these pills to me after my breast reduction. Can I take these same pills for wisdom tooth removal? ## Hello, Rochelle! How are you? They can be used for that, as well, since they are just a narcotic analgesic, but you shouldn't take them, unless your dentist has okayed it. Is there anything else I can help with?

I weigh 104.8lbs and have a impacted infected wisdom tooth. Would it be safe to take this dosage once a day for severe pain?? Thank you in advance :) ## Hi, Courtney! I'm sorry you're in pain. This is a pretty standard dose, but considering your size, you may want to just try half a tablet at once, especially if you aren't used to taking narcotics. The Hydrocodone in this is pretty potent. I generally run between 117 and 120, but have found that since I rarely take them, even the 5/500mg dosage of this hits me very hard and I can only handle half of a tablet at once. These are time released, so you can cut or break them, safely. Unless you already have a tolerance to narcotics, then I'd really think it best to start small and see how it affects you. You can always take t...

I have a raging toothache. I took one Tylenol 3 at 5:30. I found some Hydrocodone from when I had a stroke. Can I take the Hydrocodone instead? Tylenol 3 did nothing for it, and I'm in severe pain. ## Hello, Kay! How are you doing? Has there been any change? The Codeine in Tylenol 3 is very mild and doesn't help everyone with pain. Hydrocodone is stronger, but you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor or dentist instructs you to do so. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

I took a 5/325mg hydrocodone for a toothache. It's been half an hour and no pain relief yet.. I haven't slept for 3 days, HELP. ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you doing? Have you consulted your dentist, yet? Not every medication works for everyone that tries it and if you have a dental infection, then the pain from that can be very severe. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Additionally, if it is due to an infection, you're going to also need an antibiotic to help clear it up. ## I took one hydrocodone 3604 for a toothache and the pain went away for about an hour and a half. I had a tooth extraction yesterday, been taking I Norco 7.5-325 regularly since; took one pill an hour ago and the pain is still unbearable, can I take one more or even half a pill more? ## Hi Ryan, Generally with this type of drug the dosing instructions indicate that you should take 1 pill every 4-6 hours or so. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity. From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. So it would be as if you're taking the stronger version of the drug. Learn More: Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone I hope this helps! ## Actually, if the pain is still that bad, after having had the to...

issues surfaced with a tooth that was absessed, required a root canal. This was nearly three years ago. Severe pain occured 24 hours ago, saw dentist, may need tooth extracted. Was given 7.5/325 hydrocodone acetaminoph. I have taken two tablets. Pain persists. May I take ibuprofen with diphenhydramine in combinations with hydrocodone? ## Hi monica, Sorry to hear about your tooth abscess! Though, if something as strong as hydrocodone isn't helping with your pain, I'd have to wonder if the doctor made the right call on giving you pain meds instead of antibiotics for an infected tooth, since that's not necessarily something hydrocodone or any pain medication is supposed to help with. In my opinion, antibiotics would probably help with the pain more so than anything else, becaus...

I have a tooth ache really hurts and cannot take thd pain anymore all I have is hydrocodone apap can I take that to relive the pain. Please help ## Hello, Connie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the tooth ache. While this medication is often prescribed for toothaches, it will not help correct the underlying cause, such as a deep dental cary. So, you still need to see your dentist, as you may actually require an antibiotic, if an infection is present. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have a really bad tooth pain is hydrocodone-ibuprofen 7.5 good for the pain my doctor put me on them in the pass but trying to see if they are any good for a really bad tooth pain ## Hydrocodone with Ibuprofen is a generic for Vicoprofen, which is a narcotic analgesic, so it can treat various types of pain. However, you do need to see a dentist, because this medication may relieve pain, but it is not going to resolve the underlying issue that has caused the dental pain, such as an infection due to a deep cary. Which means that the pain will just keep returning, if the problem isn't corrected and any possible infection treated with an antibiotic. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth...

I would like to know if this Rx will reduce swelling. Monday, I had Oral surgery for the removal of a tooth and this is the Rx. I take 1 tablet by mouth every 4 to 6 hours as needed for pain. Tuesday, I was scheduled to return for flipper retainer to be inserted but I was not feeling well & was very swollen, so I postponed to Thursday. Thursday, the doctor said it was so swollen, he didn't want to bother the swollen tissue so rescheduled for the next Tuesday. ## Hello, Vicki! How are feeling? Has the swelling gone down, at all? And no, this medication won't really help much with swelling. However, the issue is that after having oral surgery, they want to be careful what they give you, to avoid increasing how much you bleed, which is why anti-iflammatories weren't given. ...
