It is the imprint that identifies prescription medications, the size, shape and color do not actually mean anything. Need to identify an oval pill with 4 raised line on top. It has a minty smell. The color is off-white or very light gray. ## Hello Marie, Since what you have does not have an imprint it definitely isn't a FDA regulated medication. Since you said it smells like minty I started looking up brand named breath mints. I found one that matches your description and I was wondering if you would mind doing a google image search of Altoids arctic mints? They are breathmints that are white and have 4 raised lines on them. Let me know if this solves your question. If not let me know and I'll try searching again.

I found several of these in a baggie at home hidden in a closet. I have googled it, and even the eclipse breath mints, they aren't multicolor, and have 4 lines instead of the 5 like the mints... If not then I don't believe anyone here is going to be able to identify the pill with such little information. The problem ultimately comes from the fact that the FDA requires all controlled medication to be identifiable through it's appearance which would include an imprint. Pretty much everything else it can be doesn't require it to have an imprint. This means that you've most likely found something along the lines of a dietary pill, mint, vitamin or a supplement. It's been wet so the imprints are gone. It was in my nephew's room. I need know what it is. It looks just like a blue Xanax but it's a lil thicker and a tad bigger with one cut only on one side. ## If the imprints are gone due to water damage, then I'm afraid the only accurate way to identify this would be to have it's contents analyzed by a lab. We can certainly make speculations based on related pills with score lines, but all we'd be doing is taking shots in the dark with no sense of direction as to what that former imprint might've been...
