I was put on 25 mg. of chlortalidone several months ago. I lost a lot of weight and felt terrible. I contacted my dr. and they had me cut it in half. I continued to not feel well and started having irregular heartbeat, tingling and numbness, muscle cramps. My dr. sent me to a cardiologist who ran a stress test and echocardiogram. It showed irregular heart rythmns but he said he thought I was ok. I had read about low potassium while on diuretics so he asked if I'd had a blood test (which I hadn't nor was it ever suggested). My potassium came back below normal so the cardiologist & fam dr. were all worried and told me to increase my potassium and get retested in a week. I did and my results came back normal. But I still feel awful--irregular heartbeat, tingling, stomach issues...
Hi, I am a 34 year old male. For the last 2-3 years I had palpitations and 1-2 episodes of Spvt (or short Atrial fibrillation lasting 10-30 seconds) per Month. (My cardiologist said that based on my symptoms). I have done Ecg, Echo, holter and a stress test. All results were fine. But, I was scared a lot by those episodes and over time, a doctor suggested me to take a low dose of some Beta blockers. I have happily accepted that... Before this, I was able to walk 1 hour every day (without any problems) and live a regular life (except playing sports since it could trigger the spvt sometimes). In January 2015, I started to take the lowest those of Nebivolol. Everything was fine for the first few weeks, but then I started to experience breathing problems, while walking, sitting, watching tv...
Filed under BisoprololI had a 12 week course of Harvoni for Hep C (following a car accident in 1996)...my Hep C was found then (jaundice and then testing)...liver enzymes returned to normal after a few months and I was told to wait to treat, that eventually there will be something better than interferon... I waited and was trilled with the Harvoni results, mild side effects; but, about 3-4 months after Harvoni, I started having terrible easy bruising in my shins, lower legs and I developed ventricular tachycardia and other heart problems, ended up with a defibrillator and three heart medications...I just finished treatment for a leg ulcer that developed from a bruise! .... Prior to treatment with Harvoni, I had a normal echo, EKG and was roller blading several times a week...then could not even think about p...

which is the best painkiller for low backache? Is it Voveron, Tolifast or Echochyte 60 or any other? ## I am suffering from back pain for last 4 days i am taking Tramajc 50 mg twice a day no relief in India ## Do either of you have a diagnosis as to what's causing your back pain? Has any testing been done? Learn more pain details here. That would be the place to start, you need to find out what's causing your pain, in order to find the proper solution. If you don't and you just take pain medications on your own, you may end up doing permanent damage, only to find out later that to start off, it was a minor injury that could have been easily remedied.

Hi, I am 44 years old male. About 15 days back i felt pain in the middle of the chest towards the heart. Did number of tests including ECHO & Stree Thillium . Results were normal. My weight is 75kgs and height 170 cms. I do exercise like jogging for 3-4 kilometers 3 times a week and do not feel any pain. I have lots of burping. Still heaviness and slight discomfort below the left rib-cage persists. I have been prescribed by the doctor to take Norflox-TZ and Viabact-DS. Is it a correct diagnosis? What is wrong with me?
Hi, I am just 26. I suffer from high BP. I check my heart with ecg and echo and my blood test against kidney is also normal. my doctor prescribed me prolomet xl 25 for one month. Is it enough to weep out BP? After taking this I feel dizziness. Another doctor prescribed me nebicard 2.5. My wife recently underwent knee replacement surgery. The day before the procedure, she had an ECG and 2D echo tests. The doctor informed us that she has a mitral valve problem and inquired if she had been experiencing any symptoms such as murmurs, dyspnea, or excessive tiredness. My wife has never experienced such symptoms and is reluctant to undergo any further check-ups unless she develops these symptoms. Could you please tell me the name of the medicine that cardiologists typically prescribe for this type of valve problem? ## She should definitely have it checked out, before developing symptoms. Once symptoms appear, she could have already experienced permanent damage to her heart, and there is a risk of complications from MVR being fatal. Ref: Mitral Valve Regurgitation Information ...

Taking stress echocardiogram this AM & was wondering withholding taking medication until after procedure. Please advise. Thanks! ## I can see this post was from a few days ago, however, for future reference, in such cases, unless your doctor instructs you to skip the doses of certain medications, before a procedure, you should take them all, as you normally do. Losartan with Hydrochlorothiazide is commonly used to help control high blood pressure and to treat some cardiac conditions and missing a dosage of it, or several doses, could cause rebound effects, which may put you in danger and/or affect the results of these types of tests. How did the test go? ## i have been taking losartan/hct tab 100-25 for about a year. i have been having pain in both legs, tireness, legs feel heavy. I...
My Mother is 70 years old. She suffered a mild Heart attack. A 40 mm stent was inserted by angioplasty. The doctor prescribed Nitrocontin 2.6 twice a daily, Ecosprin gold 20 once a daily. Now, by mistake Nitrocontin 2.6 was taken only once a day. The patient is suffering short breathing problem for a very short distance, also suffering from bronchitis. At present she has small fluids in the lungs and was advised to take Fuselac (medicine) once a day and after two days go for an Echo as ECG had some changes. Then the doctor advised her to take this medicine twice a day. I would like to ask, what type of test is required again or can this medicine, repair the damage, if any happened. ## How did the tests turn out? That's really the information that will answer your questions and let y...
I've been on 10 mg Simvastatin for 3 months. It was prescribed after a TIA landed me in the ER one evening. Extensive testing was done including the CT, Echo, and others. ALL were totally normal. I figured from the get go that my extreme stress level (an easy 25) was the culprit. My cholesterol was 220 and that set off alarm buttons. It has been 240 for years so I wasn't in the least bit concerned. Other things were prescribed on my chart including coumadin which I refused. I take vitamins & minerals (fish oil, flax oil, D3, SE, CA, and others) daily and have for years. Reluctantly I agreed to try the simvastatin 10 mg for 60 days. First lab work showed cholesterol at 178 and I said enough. Realizing I'd have to back off a little slowly, I'm now taking 5 mg for 30 da...

my mother is 79 years old and she had a brain stroke two years ago. After 2 years, she had headache and therefore doctor prescribed her ecospirin for blood thinning alongwith other B.P. and diabetic medicines. Her hemoglobin level has been reduced to 4.6 once and after ten days again reduced to 5.4. Doctor has carried out all related tests like CT, Echo, Endoscopy and other tests of Gastrology. But nothing has came out, all reports were normal. Doctor has advised to stop the ecospirin tablet. Is this will be the reason of reducing hemoglobin. Please advise. ## Does use of ecospirin 75 decrease hemoglobin which was given to my son after increase in platelets due to lino renal shunt surgery
