i'm fighting M.S. i deal with alot of pain on a daily basis, I just tool myself off the fentenyl patch after 5 yrs, I have a baclofen pump implanted in my stomache starting wednesday there going to start injecting dilauded into the pump. will this only help the pain in my legs or will it also help the pain in the spine and neck ## what are the affect of 4mg dilaudid on someone who has personality disorder ## My girlfriend has personality disorder and is using vicodan. she than did a dilauded on a different day and and it seemed to have a real speedy nasty attititude on her. And there are several yellow 4mg tablets, so I'm not sure which one you're looking for, without knowing more information. Do you remember any other details about it?

I've been on Dilauded for 6 mos. following major spine surgery. For the first few weeks I was talking 10mg every three hours. I quickly tapered off to two 10mg twice daily. I have been on this dosage for about five months. I took my last 10mg pill 72 hours ago. I ache all over, am alternately sweating then freezing cold, have runny bowls, am sneezing and stopped up, am suffering through periods of anxiety, and just generally feel rotten. How long should these symptoms last? Should I go back to 1/2 pill (5mg) twice daily , which would be cutting my previous dosage in half, and then cut it down again to 2 1/2mg twice daily until I'm weaned? I have been taking 12mg og dilauded a day for a week after surgery. I noticed yesterday when I didn't take any I felt horrible. The Dr gave me 20 more 2mg pills. So today i took 2 hydromorphone dilauded and a couple hours later took 2 vicodin. Now my mouth tastes very nasty. Is this from the medication? Or is something wrong with my teeth? The Hydromorphone in the Dilaudid and the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin are both narcotic opiates and they can cause dry mouth as a side effect, so that may be contributing to the problem. what is the length of duration, strength and usage of 30mg morhpine compared to 8mg Dilaudid? ## Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of opiates. For me, 30mgs of Morphine doesn't do much for my pain, buts does make me neauseus. On the other hand, 8mgs of Dilauded helps control my pain well for 3 to 6 hours. ## It can also depend on the specifics of each medication, are either of them time released or are they regular release? Looks exactly like Mallinckrodt's 8mg hydromorphone pill....except it's not. Possibly a fake? I was informed this is a kind of heart medication but could find no such information online even searching through the manufacturer site. I did find, however several instances in where the actual manufacturer had made similar mistakes in the past i.e. placing a percentage of incorrect medication into a shipment. I have prescriptions for Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Depression, Anxiety, Migraines, and chronic Pancreatitis. Just switched from methadone 30mg daily for chronic neck pain. Herniated c3456. I was taking it 3x a day and it just stopped working. PM Dr switched me to dilauded 8mg 3xs a day. How ever it last about 3-4 hours. Found these little pale blue almost who's looking pills that are found with x on one side and 74 on the other side. THATS supposed to be extended release XANAX but I've never heard of such a thing. After a long career as a Firefighter and suffering through various injuries on the job I think I have tried a lot of different meds. A quick health history. Separated shoulder, broken ribs, surgery on both knees and back( L4-L5, S1). My narcotic history in order was Tylenol 3 and 4. Percocet, OxyContin up to 120mg a day, statex ,MS Contin, Dilauded, Butrans and finally now on Fentanyl 100 MCG every 48 hours I'm worried I have hit my narcotic wall and I'm worried that if any other more painful health issues come up I won't be able to get proper pain relief. Any experiences or medical opinion would be appreciated

My wife takes 4-8mg dilaudid a day and is on 125 mcg/h fentanyl patch she is having really bad nausea ## She is taking to much narcotic! She is lucky she isn't overdosed. You will never get rid of all you pain, period! It is a fine balance between pain control and quality of life. i would reduce to 4 mg and you can break the 8's in half. They are not time released if labeled Dilaudid or hydromorphone! These are horrible. I have been taking these for about 3 weeks now. Along with the reduction in potentcy I am experiencing headaches. I was put on these at my request after 2 major abdominal surgeries after my bowel ruptured in 3 places. After being on Fentanyl and dilauded for 6 months in the Hospital and then 3 months after being released. After being on such strong opiates from the surgeries, I discussed this with my Doctor and we.agreed on Buprenorphine.
