Do they still make the yellow 4 mg dilauded and if they do what's the nsme brand ## Hello, Kurt! How are you? Dilaudid is the brand name, the generic would be Hydromorphone. And there are several yellow 4mg tablets, so I'm not sure which one you're looking for, without knowing more information. Do you remember any other details about it?
I've been on Dilauded for 6 mos. following major spine surgery. For the first few weeks I was talking 10mg every three hours. I quickly tapered off to two 10mg twice daily. I have been on this dosage for about five months. I took my last 10mg pill 72 hours ago. I ache all over, am alternately sweating then freezing cold, have runny bowls, am sneezing and stopped up, am suffering through periods of anxiety, and just generally feel rotten. How long should these symptoms last? Should I go back to 1/2 pill (5mg) twice daily , which would be cutting my previous dosage in half, and then cut it down again to 2 1/2mg twice daily until I'm weaned? OR since I've gone this long, should I just tough it out? ## Hello, Kabby! How are you feeling? What you've described can all be typic...
how many mg of dilauded is equal 15mg or 30mg to oxycodone o have to lower my dose by 30, 30mg oxy's or 60 , 15mg"s but need to know my options TKs! ## Hello, Alice! How are you? You'd need 5.62mgs of Dilaudid to equal each 15mgs of Oxycodone that you were taking, so around 11.25mgs to be equal to the 30mg dosage. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## D''s are much stronger I'm or I've. Icy is stronger oral than d's bit over d's are the best pain mess. ( 4 mg I'v is like 30-50 mg of oxy oral).
I'm taking daily doses of dilauded for management of chronic pain. How much dilauded/day makes post operative pain difficult to control? ## Hello, Rick! How are you? What you need to do is let your surgeon know what you're taking and how much, then they can adjust your post-op medication accordingly. They may even opt to avoid the problem by using a higher dose of a different narcotic altogether. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been taking 12mg og dilauded a day for a week after surgery. I noticed yesterday when I didn't take any I felt horrible. The Dr gave me 20 more 2mg pills. Is there any way to minimize withdrawal? ? Can't believe I went through wd so quickly. ## Hi danno13, Sorry to hear about your situation. It does seem rather unusual to be going through withdrawals this early into treatment. When it comes to minimizing symptoms though, you might want to consider working closely with your doctor on developing some sort of tapering plan. This way you can have time to adjust to any mental, emotional, or physical changes taking place within your body's biochemistry instead of having it happen all at once. Also, because some of the most important factors determining how severe withdrawal...
So today i took 2 hydromorphone dilauded and a couple hours later took 2 vicodin. Now my mouth tastes very nasty. Is this from the medication? Or is something wrong with my teeth? Food doesnt even taste good ## Unfortunately, I really can't answer these questions from just the limited information in your post. The Hydromorphone in the Dilaudid and the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin are both narcotic opiates and they can cause dry mouth as a side effect, so that may be contributing to the problem. For your mouth to be properly cleansed and to enable you to properly taste your food, you do need a normal flow of saliva. Learn more saliva details here. How long and how often do you take medications like this? Because there is a possibility that the same dry mouth they've caused may have...
what is the length of duration, strength and usage of 30mg morhpine compared to 8mg Dilaudid? ## Everyone's body reacts differently to different types of opiates. For me, 30mgs of Morphine doesn't do much for my pain, buts does make me neauseus. On the other hand, 8mgs of Dilauded helps control my pain well for 3 to 6 hours. ## It can also depend on the specifics of each medication, are either of them time released or are they regular release? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. When I was on MS Contin, the time released version of Morphine, I couldn't stay awake, it was horrible.
Day 3 and the devil is still just sitting on my shoulder....I can't beleive how well I am actually feeling...Am I kidding myself, or could the worst still come? Over the last 7 years, I have been on morphine, percs, dilauded, etc, etc. Three days ago my oxy mg was 140 a day...What's up? Please help? ## In my opinion, It depends on how you are feeling now. the worst could be over. However, the devil will always be there from now on. You have to remember that only you and GOD can shake him off. Along with a good support system you can get rid of any addiction, just always remind yourself that you are strongger than any drug that man can make. GOD BLESS YOU, and remind the devil that you have GOD on your side from now on. ## It is also highly possible, that since you were taking th...
my wife (,age 48) underwent an anterior lumbar discectomy 3 months ago.she is not taking the operation well at all. she can barely walk and the 4 mg dilauded tabs are about useless for managing the pain.we live in Westerly ri and cant find a dr that isn't afraid of narcotics. can someone recomend a dr with some balls ## Hello, John! How is your wife? What type of doctor has she been consulting? Physicians really have no choice but to be extremely cautious about prescribing such medications and, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if strong narcotics are required on a long-term ongoing basis, then only a specialist can prescribe them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzines...
Need a picture of an 8 mg dilaudid / hydromorphone pill ## Hello, Lando! How are you? I'm sorry, but there are quite a few on the market, since this medication is available as both a name brand and a generic, so I can't post all the descriptions for you. What are the markings on the tablet in question? If you can post back with more information, I will gladly check for you to see what the tablet contains. Thank you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Is there a dilauded that is round, light green, has a line across one side and no letters or numbers on either side but has a outline of a woman head or it's a fancy U or A? ## There are no Dil...
Looks exactly like Mallinckrodt's 8mg hydromorphone pill....except it's not. Possibly a fake? I was informed this is a kind of heart medication but could find no such information online even searching through the manufacturer site. I did find, however several instances in where the actual manufacturer had made similar mistakes in the past i.e. placing a percentage of incorrect medication into a shipment. Please respond if you definitely know what this could be. If your answer is dilauded please do not respond. ## When we're just going off a description alone, there's no way for anyone to provide you with a "definite" answer (because counterfeits can look the same as the real thing). However if you didn't fill a prescription at a licensed drug store and it loo...
Hi, everyone. My daughter and I have just moved to a small town where I know nobody. We are near Flint and Fenton. I have prescriptions for Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Depression, Anxiety, Migraines, and chronic Pancreatitis. Basically, I'm on a lot of stuff...Morphine, Dilauded (sp?), Norco, Trazadone, Attivan, Cymbalta, and Lasix. I realize that I've probably been on too many things and I may need to switch back to Methadone (I took that a few years back) as a replacement for a few things but, I'm very worried about what will happen if I run out of everything all at once as, I know I have become dependent. I have about two weeks worth left and then I'm kind of screwed. I need to find a Dr. that can come up with a suitable pain management "recipe" and wh...
Just switched from methadone 30mg daily for chronic neck pain. Herniated c3456. I was taking it 3x a day and it just stopped working. PM Dr switched me to dilauded 8mg 3xs a day. How ever it last about 3-4 hours. Is this normal ## You may need to speak to your doctor about adjusting the dose, so it works longer, or perhaps switching to the time released formulation to keep your pain under control longer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long have you been taking it? ## 5 days now. I called my Dr he told me in the visit that it may not last ## I have been taking methadone 5 mg 3 times a day, I asked my dr to ween me off ...
Found these little pale blue almost who's looking pills that are found with x on one side and 74 on the other side. THATS supposed to be extended release XANAX but I've never heard of such a thing. Anyone? ## From what I see these seem to be what you suspect. ## However if they are White not Blue they wouldn't be Xanax XR ## Yes Eddie upon closer inspection they are a pale blue. How long have these been around?! These could've saved my life many times! Do you have any ideas if shrinks or primary care doctors will write this medication with 2 milligram ir example bar the same way a pain management doctor right sore term or should I say acting pain med such as dilauded with an oxy for breakthrough? ## I wouldn't know although a Doctor would not write you for two kinds ...
After a long career as a Firefighter and suffering through various injuries on the job I think I have tried a lot of different meds. A quick health history. Separated shoulder, broken ribs, surgery on both knees and back( L4-L5, S1). My narcotic history in order was Tylenol 3 and 4. Percocet, OxyContin up to 120mg a day, statex ,MS Contin, Dilauded, Butrans and finally now on Fentanyl 100 MCG every 48 hours I'm worried I have hit my narcotic wall and I'm worried that if any other more painful health issues come up I won't be able to get proper pain relief. Any experiences or medical opinion would be appreciated
Filed under TylenolMy wife takes 4-8mg dilaudid a day and is on 125 mcg/h fentanyl patch she is having really bad nausea ## She is taking to much narcotic! She is lucky she isn't overdosed. You will never get rid of all you pain, period! It is a fine balance between pain control and quality of life. i would reduce to 4 mg and you can break the 8's in half. They are not time released if labeled Dilaudid or hydromorphone! Chronic Pain Patient from Florida who can't find anyone to fill my 8mg Dilaudid! ## I have a lot of experience with Dilauded, and this side-effect is very common. I recommend Gravol Suppsitories, they'll take away the nausea without interfering with her pain treatment. ## That can be a normal side effect of opiate medications, as reported by the FDA, they can also cause diz...
These are horrible. I have been taking these for about 3 weeks now. Along with the reduction in potentcy I am experiencing headaches. I was put on these at my request after 2 major abdominal surgeries after my bowel ruptured in 3 places. After being on Fentanyl and dilauded for 6 months in the Hospital and then 3 months after being released. After being on such strong opiates from the surgeries, I discussed this with my Doctor and we.agreed on Buprenorphine. Since this switch to the new oblong orange 153 pills I have to say, it is a noticeable difference and increased daily headaches. ## Hi Joel, Sorry to hear about your experience with the new Buprenorphine tablet. I've actually seen a few other posts on this site from patients who also agreed that this orange tablet wasn't as ...
