I live in Portland Indiana. I just can't get a break with these doctors here. My old doctor was in Michigan but I could no longer make the trip up. Doctors here give things my doctor has tried for years only to have them fail for my pain. Norco was only thing that actually worked. I have been pain free till I moved to Indiana. Now I can't get pain management to fill norco, but they offer morphine which I refused, so they refused to see me. Can anyone help here? It's bad enough I have hard time getting out of bed. I just want to live life and function. ## I hope a doctor from Portland see's this. I'm sick of the bureaucrat. To get relief from pain. I'm no way an abuser of norco but all these other meds don't work at all. So any doctor reading this comment, I l...

Need help! I been on six,6 Norco a day and he has brought it down to 2.5 a day. I have talked to my doctor about the amount of pills he makes out my prescription for. He won't increase the amount but he will give me something stronger but I don't like them. I want to stick with what works for me. Can you tell me of any doctor that will help me in Tulare, Visalia area? . ## Unfortunately, due to the risk of Acetaminophen overdose from taking too many Norco, you're really not going to find a doctor that is willing to prescribe that many. They have to be very cautious, because since it's available over the counter, many people don't realize that taking too much Acetaminophen can be very dangerous, or fatal. You can learn more Acetaminophen Overdose Information here. Wha...

Please help me find a Doctor that can just give me what I need. ## Hi, Amanda! I'm sorry you're having such problems. There are probably several issues at play here that are causing them. One is that due to the increasing rates being found of improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons are being transitioned away from prescribing medications like Norco for long-term pain management. An attempt is underway to transition those to only being used for short pe...

I've tried everything heat/ice therapy and meds. Vicodin or Norco are the two pain meds that seem to work for me and I am able to perform my daily duties with much less pain. I do not want anything stronger than them. I have not found a regular doctor to just give me a refillable prescription with out going to the ER. I had a work injury that crushed several discs in my neck and I have recently undergone fusion surgery which went well. However, I was not prepared for the pain I experienced. I have been on 10/325 norco for 7 weeks. I only took the Appropriate Rx amount or less; never more than 5 pills in a day. When I got to the point where I felt like I could manage the pain, I quit taking norco cold turkey. I wigged out. I experienced gnarly anxiety, mood swings, burning in my legs and feet, nausea, and elevated bp. I am trying to wean off the drug on my own but am super discouraged. Can anyone give me pointers on exactly how to do this? ## Have you consulted your doctor for advice? I DON'T LIKE TAKING PAIN MEDICINES AND I WANT TO KNOW IF THESE TWO ARE THE SAME OR DIFFERENT. FOR IN MY SEARCHING, THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE THE SAME, BUT DIFFERENT.SHOULD I RETURN THESE AND REQUEST THE TALACEN FOR THESE SEEM TO BE STRONGER. ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? Yes, they are different medications, though both are narcotics, but the Norco contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Learn more Norco details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, the pharmacist couldn't have switched it, without your doctor's approval, so you should contact your doctor about the issue. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## THANKS, WILL ...
