I'm in iop class and I tested positive for Suboxone. I take Lamictal Seroquel and Zoloft can any of these meds be the reason I tested positive? I did not take Suboxone. ## HELP! Can you get a false positive while taking Soboxone for Methamphetamine? ## Absolutely unequivocally positively (lol sorry) completely... NO. Without getting into a big scientific explanation, sub and meth are two completely different chemicals that are in no way similar(and your body breaks them down into two different substances that are even further apart) and have two completely separate tests. ## I am disabled as well as on pain management and was recently informed that I tested positive for meth. Hi, I currently take the following meds; percocet 10/325 (3x day) neurontin 300mg (3x day) mobic 7.5mg (2x day) prevacid 40mg (1x day) klonopin 1mg (as needed, usually 3 per week as much as 1 per day) lisinopril 40mg (1x day) atenolol 50mg (2x day) I also take several vitamin supplements (multivitamin, milk thistle, vitamin B12, vitamin e). My doc drug tested me and said the test showed I had ingested suboxone which I had NOT. I am 60 yrs old and had a back injury that I was prescribed many opiods. I was dependant on them and a dr perscribed suboxone film for dependancy. I also take Xanax 0.5 mg, prozac 40mg, celebrex 20mg, premarin 0.9mg. lisinopril 40mg, chlorthaid 25mg., fluticasone propionate 50mcg, generic allergy relief w cetirizine 10mg, and diet tea with senna in it for contapation. I'm prescribed progesterone to prevent preterm labor and i'm taking it vaginally daily. I'm also in drug court and take drug tests 3 times a week and was recently informed that i have been testing positive for suboxone. I have yet to talk with them to find out when it started. The only thing i'm taking is the progesterone so if it's not that then i have absolutely no idea how this could happen.

I am having the same problem. My drug of choice was synthetic marijuana but I keep getting false-positives for suboxone. I have never in my life taken heroin or suboxone. I was kicked out of substance abuse treatment because of it. This is f***ed up. Example: On 7/10/2015, I gave a urine sample to my new treatment center as well a urine sample to my primary doctor. my friend just had to be drug tested for court & the urine test came back positive for THC. he does NOT smoke, so it HAS to be a false reading. the only medications he takes are suboxone (prescribed by his doctor) & miralax .. could either of these medications cause a false positive for THC in a urine test? ## If he tested positive for THC there's something he's not telling you. I recently tested positive for opiates at my PO office. I did not take any opiates but I did take a suboxone film the night before. Can the ua test false positive for opiates? can melatonin or depression medication cause a drug test to be positive for suboxone ## My answer to that question would be no, as the human body produces Melatonin naturally. Supplementing this is strictly used to boost your Melatonin to levels that your body hasn't been producing on its own accord. As far as depression medication goes, it is unlikely; but with some drug tests it seems as though anything is likely to show up no matter what you took. So I wouldn't count it out just yet. I am currently prescribed Belbuca 150 mcg/every 6 hrs. with Tramadol 50 mg. for break-through pain due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome/Chiari Malformation/Degenerative Disc Disease.
