I had a small bowel resection June 25.(crohn's disease) . After about 10 days home doing well I ended up with a bladder infection. I had some bladder issues in the hospital and needed cathaders. I have beeen on Nitrofur-macr 100 twice a day for 5 days and am not sure it is helping. Sometimes I think it is. I sometimes have a bloody urination and one time it was bloody with a lot of slimy material I am due to have 5 more days of the nitrofur. I had turp surgery 20 years ago. Since then I have been prescribed a variety of medications to stop me from having to get up every night between 5 and 15 times to urinate. I am presently taking uroxatral 10 mg and ayodart 0.5 mg, but they are not helping. I have seen numerous urologists with no success.

I was prescribed Eliquis because of AFIB. I work 12 hour shifts, mostly sitting at a computer, and have to urinate often. I'm also gaining weight and my ankles are swelling. I am taking Metroprolol (minax 50) half a tablet twice a day and have been on them since having a stent in July 13. For the last few months I have been getting up every two hours to urinate through the night...Is this a side effect please? Can't pee! Need to, want to, but nothing is forthcoming. So very thirsty, lots of water going in, but just a quick tinkle coming out. My mom is 94. She was put on bisoprolol in march. Recently she has begun to experience frequent urination going most of the day. It has increased within the past week especially. Why is it that taking pepto bismo causes me to have frequent urination just about every hour at night time? I also take Lipitor, Avapro, Metformin, Januvia and Actos. ## Lipitor interacts with antacids. My father has the same problem, plus nausea and stomach problems. Going to doctor to try and get him off it. Liptor from what I've been studying is not a very good, or useful, drug for most people. From what I've read, it only helps 1-3% of people. I'm 44 and have been taking perindopril for approx. 2 years. I frequently find myself having to urinate 3 or 4 times a night... I am under going with Leon 500 after every TBCG injectin. as a antibiotic fir prevention of infection but it is of no use. ## What do you mean it is of no use? Do you mean you are getting infections anyway? If so, have you talked to your doctor about it? You may need to try a different antibiotic, or a different dosage.
