Hi I am a STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT & EVER since my doctor retired about a year ago I've been having trouble finding a new doctor to prescribe my pain medications and my alprazolam. I've been a mess I've been in a lot of pain! Anyone in the Sacramento or Fair Oaks area that could recommend a pain management doctor or any type of doctor like an internal medicine doctor who could help me that is in the area? I would deeply appreciate it because I'm having a really rough time and I have no family in the area. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you and have a blessed day.

I have relocated to the Auburn, Calif. area and am in dire need of a doctor who will pick up where my Florida pain management specialist - fellowship - left off. I need certain procedures done, such as heat ablasion every 6 months. I have been on 10-350mg Hydrocodone for 7 years after a fall backwards from steps onto cement, which resulted in a coma, 9 days in the hospital learning to walk after 4 vertebroplasties. I have degenerative disc disease, degenerative severe osteoarthritis, 2 lumbars touching, and much more! I am a senior, and was reduced from 4 pills a day, like everyone else, to 3. The 4 just took the edge off the pain. I need these to WALK and have a semi-normal life. They work for me! I feel nothing else from these pills and am so against the new legislation. The rule-makers

I don't want to be tied to a clinic. I was on pain mngmt for a few years and did great, then moved to Sacramento. HELP ## I was on pain mngmt in the bay area. 160 mg methadone a day 6 mg dilaudid breakthrough a day and 6 mg klonopin for anxiety. On this schedule of medicine I did great. It changed my life. Then I moved to Sacramento and can't find a doctor that will help for the life of me. I have a brain tumor, had a head injury, broke my neck and back, right arm amputated (phantom) pain right leg neuropathy. I am on the real. Can anyone help?

I am looking for a Primary Care doctor who will prescribe Norco in the Sacramento area. I don't take them often, just when the pain becomes too intense. My doctor stopped prescribing them, sends his patients to Pain Management. I am taking expired pills and they work well, but eventually I will run out of them. Thank you. ## The only thing you can really do is set up an appointment with a new doctor, make sure they receive a copy of your medical records, and talk to them about the issue, in person, at your appointment. I was injured on the job back in 2008 and sustained a herniated disc. For many years I was able to obtain prescriptions for Norco to help with my back pain, but now I am unable to get Norco due to the severe restrictions placed on the health care industry to not prescribe pain medications. I had a private doctor who prescribed Norco for me and I switched to Kaiser because this doctor I was seeing moved. I have a legitimate case here in my opinion and would appreciate any help. The stupid doctors at Kaiser are only willing to prescribe Motrin or other medications which do absolutely nothing in terms of helping me with my daly pain. I have been taking Ativan for anxiety and my doctor is going to stop prescribing them. He said that nationwide doctors are no longer prescribing benzodiazepines. I don’t know how to find a doctor who will and I know calling doctors wouldn’t be a good idea. Hope someone in Northern California can suggest someone.

Hi, I'm now in the FAIR OAKS area of Sacramento & am A STAGE 4 CANCER PATIENT that is obviously on SSDI/SSI but since I receive $743 TOTAL a month & am @ a room & board, basically I also have no family or friends? Does anyone know of caring physicians in the Sacramento, CALIFORNIA area willing to prescribe pain meds for chronic pain? Both my husband and I have been on methadone for pain mgmt for over 5 yrs. We moved to Marysville, Ca and can't find a doctor that prescribes methadone so we are extending our search area to include Sacramento area doctors. We are both ill from withdraw and after a very tearful conclusion that we had no options but to enroll at the local methadone clinic. we are back home worse than ever as they won't take us because we take it for pain. Of course by now we are completely addicted but because we weren't on it exclusively for addiction they just said good luck and there's the door. PLEASE help. the new reformulatedoxicodone 40 mg ones do not work and have bad side effects. ## I take it you are referring to the time released formulation Oxycontin? We've had many complaints about them not working as well as the old formulation and causing bad/unusual side effects. However, I'm sorry to inform you that there are no longer any generic versions of it on the market. The name brand Oxycontin is the only one that is now available. Having several on the market from various manufacturers made it harder to keep track of the supply and increased the risk of theft and diversion. There are generics available of the regular release formulation, which would be Roxicodone, but not for the time released. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've been on methadone for 7 years and got off of it with suboxone for 5 years and it was the most miserable five years of my life so getting back on methadone at a methadone clinic is totally different than it used to be seven years ago so I was wondering if anybody knew a doctor in Sacramento who could prescribe methadone not that I abused it but my quality of life is a lot better on a stable dose of methadone can help me, the clinic are a joke and I will never get take homes because I am prescribed benzoz, so I need a doc who can take over my medical records and prescribe me the meds I have been on for 9 years. The anxiety my wife suffers from her autism keeps her from living a normal life. It is so hard to watch her suffer, every noise hurts her, she cant leave the house almost ever and is in bed to several weeks a month, in our bedroom with the door shut and the lights off. She also suffers from panick attacks as a result, I found her curled up under the counter the other night. She trys so hard every minute of every day to use the techniques she has learned and practiced through therepy and research. I have a severe back injury that cannot be operated on because of my heart condition. I am taking fairly large doses of Dilaudid, but my VA doctors will not increase my dose, even though they agree my condition is worsening.. I need a civilian doctor in Sacramento or San Francisco area who is not afraid to help me with increased doses. ## Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not just on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). I recently moved to Sacramento from very far away. My doc there had me on 30 mg of oxycodone twice a day. This has been going on for 12 years since a logging accident and the pain and my tolerance is getting very high. Can anyone recommend a Doc in the Sac area that would be good for something like this. I live in Sacramento, ca and I went to CVS and Walmart and both of them said they were on back order. Cvs carrier Mylan and Walmart carries Roxy’s. This is so frustrating!! I found a mom and pa shop that has them but literally the same time last year they pulled this same stunt.
