Round White Pill With No Markings From Mexico

I filled a prescription for 10 mg generic oxycodone at a pharmacy in Mexico. It is a round white pill with no markings at all. It came in a sealed bottle that says "PERCO 10 mg". Below that, it says "Oxycodone 10 mg". In small print, it states that is manufactured for Generic Lab Inc. Corona CA by Purdue Pharmaceuticals. It even lists the US Patents for the drug. Is this a legit generic drug they were able to release without any markings in Mexico? I only took it once and they did nothing. Should I be afraid to take them? ## It is hard to know for sure. Mexico really does not regulate their medications like the U.S., Canada, and some other countries. Thus, there is no way to be sure what these tablets contain. I bought a round white pill (that's scored on one side with nothing on the other) from Mexico in Baja California. It came in a sealed bottle as generic Alprazolam. Can anyone please verify this? ## Unfortunately, if there are no markings, there's no way to be sure what it contains. Medications from Mexico are not as regulated as those in the U.S. and Canada. The FDA warns that Alprazolam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects that could include nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. resembles a mentos in size and shape, completely white with no evidence of a coating, no imprints or markings ## it's probably a diet pill ## It is most likely that this was some type of over the counter product. From the size and shape, my best guess is that it was a supplement of some type, though I can't be certain. If there are no markings, we can rule such pills out as being U.S. manufactured prescription medications, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. However, there is a small chance it could be a foreign medication, but that isn't very likely. I've seen some Calcium supplements that resemble this, though. Large, about the size of my thumb, pill from Mexico. I'm pretty sure it is an antibiotic. Probably ciprofloxacin but I want to be sure. It was put in a contudol diclofenaco bottle because the pharmacy said it would not pass the boarder in the orginal bottle. It is scored on one side and no other markings (numbers or letters) ## The pharmacy didn't tell you what it was? Without any markings, it is going to be difficult to identify. Problems like this are just one of the hazards of buying medications from Mexico, there is also no way to be certain of their purity and safety.
