I am disabled veteran with chronic pain, and after reading some of these, and knowing how terrible life was before I was prescribed both types, I just cannot believe, or understand "why" it is not treated with respect, and the beneficial results, it produces. I have been taking the same dosage except for a increase in the # of SR tablets per day, and some days, I still have pain, but not to the extent, I experienced for over 20 years trying to work and be a productive citizen. I got my alprazolam refill. One was a bar and the others are round white tablets with a score line on one side. Apparently these are 4 mg but I've never seen them round before. Could these be xanax and what could be in them? On the packaging it says "xanax with added sleep enhancers". ## What? I just had a titanium rod put in my leg with 3 screws to hold it in place. Needless to say it's been a very painful experience. Prior to the surgery I was on suboxone therapy for about 5 years. It's the only thing that ever worked for me and completely saved my life. I am successful now in life, happy and a productive member of this world!!! I owe everything to this medication. The problem is that my Dr's thought weaning me off of the sub's one week prior to the surgery would be okay and it wasn't. Why can't I get my legitimate script filled in Tucson. What's up with that? People need to get their medicine. My condition requires me to take 15mg tablets every 6 hours. I use it for break through pain and a 100 mcg fentanyl patch. If patients can't get their required, legitimate scripts filled, patients get sick because our cycle of pain goes out of control therefore, patients are unable to manage pain.
