My father is in cardiac intensive care following bypass surgery and has been given this drug. I'm trying to find out more information about this drug. thanks, Jenny ## My mother is in ICU as well and she is on a propolol drip. It is used for persons who are intubated and allows for assisted ventilation without a decrease in cardiac output. The downside is that there is an associated drop in blood pressure when the propolol is increased. Generally the drug seems to be used for such anesthctic purposes in ICU when patients need to be calm and passive. Hope this helps, and that your father is better. ## My wife sufers the Crest Syndrome for more than ten years. Hes condition is stable. The worst part is the accumulation of calcium in her fingers. It is painful all the time. Is there an...

I have had 3 Prolia injections. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis when I had a severe fracture of my ankle. I knew I had Osteopenia but had to stop Fosamax due to severe foot cramping. The first cycle of Prolia I was fine. The second cycle I experienced horrible relux problems about 1 month out from injection - this continued for several months. Then I broke out in a rash on my back - very itchy - scratched til it bled. Dermatologist swears it cannot be from the Prolia. Well the rash calmed down on my back and I went ahead with the third injection in April. Within weeks my back started itching and now its in my scalp itchy plaque like lesions - GROSS! I will not get another of these injections. I don't think anyone knows what this drug does. I have not had a followup Dexa scan yet. ...

My 8yo son has been issued Intuniv for his ADHD. He is on 4mg. He has been getting this pill at 7pm. I know that one of the side affects is sleeplessness. He is calming down at 3 or 4 am every day. He gets up at 7 for school. I know that this is a time release drug that extends for about 12 hours or so. Not sure why they recommend this for night time. Any one else have problems giving at night and getting to bed reasonably? Anyone switched times to see if it changes during the day time when they are active? ## @JJ, There's actually another thread here with over 40 replies that has more information on user's personal experiences with Intuniv. I was given Prozac for depression by my PTP but this sent me to the ER on the 4th day. I woke up vomiting, with dizziness, my legs were so weak, I had a cold and hot rush, and the worst head ache. After fluids, morphine, labs and a CT scan I was sent home and was told I had a stomach flu (smh). My psychiatrist said it was a violent reaction to Prozac. He also said my PTP shouldn't have prescribed an anti depressant. I was very paranoid and I've had really low moods followed by extreme energy and insomnia among other things. He prescribed Abilify a few days ago. First day, I had no effects. I was on the edge, paranoid and even had a huge argument with a complete stranger. That night I couldn't sleep, I felt so anxious and my heart felt like it would beat too fast. I was panic...

I just took my first dose of lexapro and am feeling a little itchy.Feel pretty calm and a little tired other than that.I don't have gives or a rash.Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.Should I be worried? Is this an allergic reaction ? I took lexapro years ago with no problem. ## Hello, Brina! How are you? Since there are no hives or rash, it is most likely not an allergic reaction. However, this medication has been known to cause other skin conditions as side effects, according to the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need to switch to a different medications.

Hi everyone, I developed anxiety attacks 2 weeks ago due to a relationship problem. I tried to solve too many problems at once associated with the split and couldn't sleep for a long time resulting in my current condition. I'm 37 and never experienced anything like this. It scared me so much that I started having delusions and slight hallucinations and it wouldn't stop. I had horrible thoughts because I believed that I had become insane. I found a great doctor who spent an hour with me and suggested I commence a government initiative called a mental health care plan involving 10 free psychologist visits per year. He prescribed me Prozac 20 mg and Seroquel. The 2nd night I felt so content, calm and happy which continued into the next day after a great sleep. (This included a ...

How much helps how long does it take to work please help I take 200 serQuel and 2 mg risperdL ## Hi, Theresa! I'm sorry that you're having this problem. Have you consulted your doctor? These medications can be very dangerous if used improperly, or if you take too much, so it's not safe to try to adjust your dosage on your own. If you are suffering from racing thoughts and the medications aren't helping, then consult your doctor for a dosage adjustment or try a different medication. Learn more Seroquel details here. I had a wisdom tooth pulled in 2/25 and have had several bone spikes clipped off from sore on gum. Now in September 2025 no more spikes but chin still sore. My prolia is due now. What to do? ## Prolia is a medicine that helps your bones, but one of the risks is something called osteonecrosis of the jaw (basically, jawbone healing problems). Because of that, dentists and doctors usually like you to wait until your mouth is fully healed before getting your next Prolia shot. Since you had your wisdom tooth pulled back in February and those bone spurs clipped a few times, the good news is that by September most of the healing is probably done. The fact that your gum spikes are gone is a good sign. The soreness in your chin might just be the nerves and tissue still calming down - that can ta...

I want to live a normal life with out relying on a drug that has all these side affects! ## Hello, Marilyn! How are you? The nausea, vomiting & headaches are terrible. I also get fatigued very fast. I will no longer take these 2 drugs. I have left my doctor to call me today. My 5yr old was started on dextroamp amphet 5 mg 4days ago. Im calling the dr tomarrow but wanted to see if this is common since I haven't seen anything in the sideeffects on this. ## Well, you basically are adding a foreign chemical to the body to try to correct unwanted behavior, so such changes can occur. There are many parents that notice such things when their children take these types of medications, because it's going to affect them all the time, not just while they're at school. Xanax is a life saver! I've always had social anxiety and trouble speaking in groups of people, now i have no problem! Xanax makes me feel very calm and I'm able to enjoy the moments that used to make me feel unconformable.............I't also helps with depression, withdrawals from pain killers, helps with sleep! The best sleep you can ever have (close to taking NyQuil). I take 1 mg 3 times daily..... ## Xanax IS a life saver, and can also drop you dead right where you stand. Funny little drug ## Hello, Pacsun93! I'm very glad that it's helping you so much. However, it can also be dangerous, just like Eddy has pointed out, though it's usually not that extreme. I have been on Xanax for 15yrs. New provider doesnt want to keep prescribing it, why is he telling me its going to be taken off the market so I should back down now !!! WHAT???? IS THIS TRUE? I have no complaints. I am able to calm my panic attach because of the Xanax. ???? What is your professional opinion? I will not be staying with this new doctor who clearly doesnt understand how wondetful Xanax is . ## Xanax is many things, but wonderful is really not one of them? Look for a new provider? ## @LeeLee, The FDA has not made any official announcements on their website's list of drug discontinuations. So my theory is that your doctor just doesn't want to prescribe that type of medication anymore; probably for very personal reasons and understandably so. In my opinion the benefit...

I would like to know the side effects of this supplement CF HYL. ## Hello, Jennifer! How are you? Did you mean Hyland's Calm Forte? If so, this is a homeopathic product and they are not evaluated for side effects, as is done with actual prescription drugs. I have taken it myself, for insomnia issues and found that it helped for a short period of time and I had no side effects from it, but everyone is different. I'd advise reading the label thoroughly and checking with your doctor to make sure that it is safe for you try it.

Bonjesta Doxylamine Succinate + Pyridoxine Hydrochloride
