Blue oval pill with pne imprint on one side ## Hi marie, Based on the description provided, I did find a photograph suggesting that it may be a medication by the name of "Desienfriol-D 24Tab" that originates from Mexico. Desienfriol reportedly contains: Clorfenamina (2mg) + Fenilefrina (5mg) + Paracetamol (500mg). Apparently it's marketed for similar uses as Mucinex is here in the States. Another individual had also depicted their Desienfriol as being elliptical (oval) & blue with PNE on one side, and I haven't seen anything else quite like it, so this is the best match I could locate in my own investigation. What is a blue capsule with imprint Mutual 105? I found these in my sons room. ## This capsule contains Doxycycline 100 mg (NDC 53489-0119). Doxycycline is used to treat bacterial pneumonia, acne, chlamydia infections, Lyme disease, cholera, typhus, and syphilis. My wife aged 63 is type 2 diabetic. 20 days ago she was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia and her blood sugar quite high e.g. 348. On further investigations it was found that she has H1N1 too. She was sent to ICU in isolation and treatment for pneumonia and swine flu along with diabetic treatment started. She was on oxygen. She was quite critical. Fortunately she didn't go on a ventilator. After 10 days in ICU she was shifted to ward. After three days she was discharged. Her sugar was in control and her lungs were clear. Taking this amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tasan after two days in hospital for pneumonia. 2ea per day/7 days, plus Decreasing Prednisone tablet regimine. On third dose I began coughing up mucus with large amount of blood in mucus. Before this I had no cough or mucus. Is this a side effect. I have not taken a forth dose. My son is 36 years old. He had problems with his lungs from birth. He inhaled amniotic fluid at birth. He also received globulin injections for first 3 years. He had regular treatment for pneumonia. At present he had a pleural effusion tap - very bloody and dark. Lab results showed a count of 200?? He is hospitalized at present. Pulmonologist have to investigate what this means. If so, what dosage? ## According to Medlineplus.gov, Azitromicina (Azithromycin) is used to treat certain bacterial infections (ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, throat, and reproductive organs), including bronchitis, pneumonia and venereal diseases. I, however, did not see any information specifically stating an indication for bladder infections (or UTI's). That said, I think it would be important to consult your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist just to be sure. It is also your prescribing doctor's duty to inform their patient about what dose to take for best results. Nevertheless, my guess is since its mechanism of action is so broad, bladder infections may not be out of the question. I hope this helps!

I have had chronic UTI's my whole life but ran into real problems since 1998 after cystocele/rectocele repair. I had a suprapubic catheter for a few days. I got a nosocomial infection in hospital. Before all my UTIs were E. Coli. I got Kleibsiella pneumonia in my urine & over the years a variety of others. I am on cephalexin 250mg prophylactically because I have interstitial cystitis for the last 10 years. I am a 23 year old female. I had a kleb. Pneumoniae UTI. The doctor gave md injectables initially, and then for prophylaxis, he has put me on veltam and niftas for 3 months. I understand why I have been given niftas, but I don't understand the reason behind prescribing veltam. I had been on Oxycodone 30mg since Dec 2012. I was in the hospital this spring for pneumonia and a blood clot in my lungs. And I was in between Dr.s. Last week I went to see another Pain Dr. He did a full history, and then said I can't help you. You are out of my league. so he sent me out without any medicine.
