please identify a pill: oval shape, pink in color & the # 55 on it. ## Hi Jingles, Based on the description provided, I located a pink oval pill imprinted with "S 5" on one side and blank on the other. The "S" looks very similar to the "5" right next to it; exhibiting minor differences in curvature. Any chance that the "55" could be "S5"? The pill itself is identified as a 20mg Simvastatin tablet, prescribed for use in treating high cholesterol. For further verification, the manufacturer is reported to be Accord Healthcare. What is a blue pill with DAN 5555 on it? ## Watson Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 20mgs of Propranolol, which is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. (It should also have a 20 on the opposite side). The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hypotension, and increased urination. I'm sorry, but without being certain of the full imprint, I haven't been able to find a match for this, so far. The ones I did find that use the SL logo have both it and the numbers on the same side, so I haven't even been able to find a viable possibility, yet. But if you were to hold it upside down, the back side would look strikingly similar to 863z... Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find an identification for this, yet. They seem to be old tablets that are no longer manufactured, as from other posts I've found they were said to be found in the homes of elderly deceased relatives. Thus finding an ID may be a bit difficult. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you.
