100+ Topics Foundsmall purplepill that is square and rounded ## Hi jerry, Are there no markings on this pill? I don't think this pill was manufactured in the U.S., as it has no letter or number imprints. U.S. law requires that all prescription drugs have a unique imprint on the tablets or capsules so the medication can be identified by manufacturer, substance and dosage. (That said, if you did find it here in the U.S.; it could be a party drug or may just be a diet or supplement pill of some sort, but there really is no way to look that up without imprints or knowing what company you got it from). If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. And as a last resort, you could ask them a...

What is this pill with 7S? It is blue in color. ## This is most likely an over the counter product because I did not find the inscription listed in the NIH's pillbox data. So to me that means it is probably not a prescription drug because those are cataloged extensively. I also found another page on medschat where someone said that they got similar pills inside an OTC container labeled Simply Sleep, but they suspected that the 7s pill was from another bottle originally. All in all, it could possibly be an over the counter sleep aid containing Diphenhydramine, but I cannot say for sure simply because it is not cataloged as a prescription drug.
i got stung by a caterpillar and my right face and neck got red and is swelling and very itchy. can i use quadriderm on it? ## HI, Andi! How are you doing now? If it's swelling and itchy, that's the sign of an allergic reaction and a doctor should be consulted. There is a chance that it could get more dangerous. Additionally, you really need to make sure to avoid the caterpillars in the future, as subsequent stings could cause more serious reactions as allergic reactions can worsen with more exposure, in some cases. ## Hello Verwon, it feels the same, very itchy and i think the rashes scrattered on my arms and body and i cant help to scratch them. im really worried that it might take a long time to heal and it will scar. im applying anti itch cream on it and im also drinking ant...
What is this pill, people keep telling me it's catapres,I don't believe it is. ## The imprint on the generic Catapres tablet that meets this description is actually LI 65, I separated it out to try to show that it's supposed to be a capital i, not a numeral 1. Learn more Clonidine details here. It contains 0.3mgs of Clonidine, which has several medical uses, such as lowering blood pressure and treating anxiety. Where did you find it? ## I ran out of my meds, and a friend gave it to me. Wanted to make sure it was catapres. Thank you so much!!!
I have one about 8 or 9 mms that is smooth, with no scoring and no imprints at all. Edge is about 1/8". The first letters on the pill container are: P-a-n-c then either r or h. Then looks to read e-a. I asked my DVM for Viokase. I need to look up the drug and study up on it. Does anyone know the rest of the details? ## Well, without an imprint, I cannot tell you definitively what they are, however, the generic for Viokase is Pancrelipase, which is a combination of 3 enzymes used to treat digestive disorders. You can learn more here: Is there anything else I can help with? ## Pancrelipase is it -- my veterinarian had only written a fragment of the drug name. Your answer is very much appreciated and I can now study the drug for other pets as that cat has recovered from her long but te...
Follow up of 02/28 post. Original pill marked A 333. Wife back to dentist this AM. Swelling along side of tooth/gum after root canal. Took new prescription for Percocet 10-325 back to same CVS. They have nothing in stock other than the A 333 pill that we had already found to be impotent and reported it to Head Pharmacist. Went to another Pharmacy and they filled with white oval shaped pill identified as M523 on one side and 10/325 on the other. Potency and effectiveness confirmed by wife within 20 minutes after first pill. She managed to catch up on several hours lost sleep. Pill marked A 333 not potent 10/325 Percocet alternative. Company recently purchased by another. May be subject to product variations due to takeover issues. CVS a nation wide distributor of defective A 333. Recomme...

a small round white pill with a line across the front and a symbol like "pi" or a Stonehenge type pillar. The pillar has three legs and are connected at the top by a perpendicular pillar ## @Curious Cat, I know what the pi symbol (p) looks like, but am still having a difficult time finding a match with the description provided. I also understand that it can sometimes be rather hard to describe in words how the markings and symbols on a pill look. But if there's anyway that you can post a photo of your pill as a reference for others, I'm sure it would help narrow down our search options after getting a better visual to go off of. Whereabouts did you find it?
The pills were for my cat via the vet. The pills have break lines to break in half or 1/4 (this is the cross). In the upper left of the cross is a D. In the lower right of the cross is a 8. There are all kinds of websites that dont recognize a D and 8. ## The reason they can't identify it for you is because this is a veterinary medication. Prescription medication databases only log medications for human use, the FDA does not require imprints to be logged for medications that are manufactured solely for animal use. The pill in question is called Drontal, it contains the active ingredients praziquantel and pyrantel, it used to treat or prevent several types of worms in cats. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You nailed it Verwon ! Remembering back... yes I did go through a de...
Its a round, tiny light blue pill with no makings ## Yes I have the same question regarding tiny blue pills with no markings. What are these? ## Hello, In the United States the FDA requires that all prescription medication have an imprint as to be identifiable for medical professionals in the event of emergencies as well as to ensure that customers are able to identify their medication. Because your medication does not have an imprint I feel that one of two things is happening. Either you have found something that falls under the category of something like a vitamin/supplement/dietary pill or you have a presciption medication that has had it's imprint rubbed off. A starting point could be to feel the pill, does it feel like it has a coating on it or does it feel rough and easy to br...

What is it? ## WHITE PILL WITH 825 STAMOED ON IT ## little tan/beige pill that has an M in a square and on the back it says 595 ## This is a round white pill with the inscription AZ 466 ## Found a white oval pill with NO score and W961 on one side and nothing on the other. What is it? I found it on the floor of my 2 year olds playroom. ## this pill has a M in a box is on one side and 596 on the other. what is ths ## My post asking for identification of pill with AZ 466. I found the answer on the manufacture's website. It's Nadolol 40mg. I was confused because the info on drugs.com was incorrect. If you need ID on a drug made by Sandoz, there is a product catalog at: www.us.sandoz.com ## M595? M596? I found this info at pharmer.org HTH Mal...
name of sleeping tablets starting with A ## Hi helen, Ambien is the most common brand name I can think of in this drug category. In clinical trials Ambien has not adequately demonstrated effectiveness in maintaining sleep (unless delivered in a controlled-release form); however, it is effective in initiating sleep. Another brand name is Ativan, which is more geared towards relaxing and relieving anxiety. Is there a specific name you're looking for? ## Sleeping pill dene ke bad kitna der tak eska aser rahata hai......plz tell me
I found a large off white pill with the imprint of r7 on one side and nothing on the other side. Anyone know what this is? ## Although I don't remember the brand I happen to have a few of these in my pocket right now, and these large white pills stamped r7 are actually antacids, mint flavored, chewable. ## Hello Cat, As Dave said before the pills you are describing, according to the [1] NIH, are antacid medication used for heartburn relief. Here is some additional information that the NIH provides on this particular pill. Product Code 46122-153 Imprint R7 Name Good Neighbor Pharmacy Antacid Regular Strength Active Ingredients Calcium Carbonate 550 Mg Magnesium Hydroxide 110 Mg Label Author Amerisource Bergen Color White Size 16mm Shape Round Score 1 Inactive Ingredients - Starch, C...
little round white pill, with 636 on one side, and with FD on the other, it can be split in half on the FD side. ## Sorry, this isn't listed in any of the prescription databases, not even the professional ones. I would have to say it is probably an over the counter item, which aren't regulated and kept track of like prescription drugs, or a foreign med. ## I know that it is some kind of veterinary medication... I just found a bottle so old the label was entire blank, however i tried reading what i could and I think it said torbutrol ## it is torbutol...its a painkiller given to dogs and cats.... i think they rangefrom 1 to 10 mg.'s ## it is methocarbamol 500mg
Prednisone for my cat. Can prednisone 5 mg for humans be substituted for the cat since medications are running low? ## Prednisone will kill cats. It's for dogs only according to my vet. The one for cats is called Prednisolone 5 mg. ## In veterinary manuals, it is warned this it should be avoided in pregnant cats, and kittens, but it can be used in adult cats, if your vet approves. There are risks associated with giving any medication to you pet, just like there are with people, but both Prednisolone and Prednisone can be used in cats and dogs. However, your vet really has the final say on that, so I would suggest asking them, just to be careful. Your cat may not need a longer course of it, or they may want to explore a different treatment option. How is your cat doing?
Does anyone have any idea what these are? Thanks for the help. ## This imprint (physical description) does not turn up under any of the U.S. drug databases. Because of that, it is very likely that this pill falls into one or more of the categories listed below: -Manufactured outside of the U.S. -It is an over-the-counter medication/supplement -Counterfeit -Illicit party drug -Has been discontinued for one reason or another Did you possibly find this pill somewhere or obtain it from a friend? I wish I could be of more help, but one thing you can do is take the pill over to your local pharmacy and see if they have any particular way of analyzing a pill for it's ingredients. If not, they should at least be able to provide advice on where you can get its contents evaluated by a lab. Hop...
whT TYPE OF PILL IS THIS ## Xanax bars ## That is correct. The tablet with the G 3722 marking contains 2mgs of Alprazolam, which is the active ingredient in Xanax, it is a Benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It does have the potential to be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability and headache. Learn more Xanax details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Inactive Ingredients (Excipients) Alprazolam is more an inert, or catalysis that affects the (certain) parts of the nervous system. Inactive ingredients are components of a drug product that do not increase or affect the therapeutic action of the active ingredient, which is usually the active drug. Inactive ingredients are added dur...
found on floor I think my cat may have had it in his mouth. ## Hi Kae, You had mentioned that the cat may have had it in his mouth. Do you think there's any possibility of there being a marking on the other side that could've faded due to this occurrence - perhaps also making the numbers difficult to accurately interpret? I only ask because the closest match I'm finding is a white round pill with "61 | 61" (scored down the center) on one side and a cursive-like "V" embedded on the other. If it's any consolation, this particular tablet reportedly contains 100mgs of Trazodone hydrochloride, used for treating insomnia. And for additional verification, the manufacturer is listed as Vintage Pharmaceuticals (also known as Qualitest). Does anyone else here recog...
