You did well to take it from your friend. It is Ibuprofen 600 mg. I just got a prescription for it, My wisdom teeth were taken out. They are Pointless if you ask me, They don't help allot with the pain... but they do help with swelling i guess.. ## Well, what you have to understand is that Ibuprofen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it is not a narcotic, so while it helps with pain, its effects are limited. This is the same medication that is found in a lower dose, over the counter in Advil and Motrin.
