We were receiving the Pantoprazole 40mg EC tablets, yellow~oval~w434. The last refill we received the Pantoprazole 40mg DR tablets, white~oval~KU181. These do not seem to be working as well as the original ones. We were trying to locate the differance between EC and DR. We did discover the DR means delayed release, but found no info on EC. What is the difference between pan 40 and pantosec dsr 40? My mother had an elbow fracture followed by surgery. She is on diabetic and blood pressure meds. The doctor also prescribed pan 40, but the med store gave her pantosec dsr 40. For the last 12 years I have been taking Deplatt A 75 & Pantodac 40mg as a precautionary measure. I never had any heart disease. During this period I was posted in different parts of the country. The first doctor prescribed for Aspicot 20 with some antacid about 15 years back. After that the doctor changed it to an Aspirin & antacid combination although there were no findings of heart disease. Now I am 65 and also taking blood pressure tablets (FBX 40 and Lipiking 10). My lipid profile was above the normal limit about 5 yrs back and now it is well within normal range. Should I continue all these medicines?
