Filed under OpanaHi there, I'm currently coming off kaiser insurance and am looking for new PM specialist. I've been taking 10/325 norcos, 1mg clonazepam, Percocet and promethazine syrup. I was in a bad accident about 3 years ago and have had consistent back and lower sciatica pain that keeps me hobbled over all day and keeps me awake at night. Doctors have been turning patients away and lowering thier doses left and right, I'm just looking for a solid refferal to a legit doctor who will listen and not make me feel like I shouldn't be asking, all kaiser doctors make it awkward when talking pain pills. I've been searching and calling but so far nothing has hit other than a doctor in Hollister but he was just let go two months ago! I NEED HELP! SOS! I just want relief and I don't know
Filed under NorcosI moved from TN to Utah and I'm having problems finding a doctor who is taking on new patients. I have been on 60 100mg morphine 2x a day and 120 20mg oxycodone 4x a day since 2009 after breaking my back in several places. Can anyone offer any advice? Even with being on disability supporting MRIs, X-rays, etc they still want to do another surgery. Unless something new comes out I'm not willing to try surgery again. I just want to stay on what worked and not have them say physical therapy or acupuncture will fix everything because it won't. Any suggestions? ## Live in Spanish Fork my doctor retired I need to find a doctor that will help me with pain medication. I've had 2 back surgeries and severe nerve damage
I live in Orlando and am looking for a new Dr. To prescribe me the proper pain medication I need for my chronic pain I have taken 30 mg oxycodone for years and also oxymorphone I prefer the oxycodone which has helped me in my day to day life tremendously? Anyone going to a good pain doctor in Memphis that is taking new patients. I am on disability and my wife and I both have r.a. The Dr. we have been seeing for over 10 years has cut our pain meds. If we need something stronger he said find a pain management Dr. He now wants to cut out our pain meds all together. Help please this is such a painful and depressing desease. ## I'm sorry that you're having such problems. New regulations have been put in place at the start of the year that are discouraging general practitioners and surgeons from prescribing pain medications for long-term use, due to the risk of improper prescribing and over prescribing, since they haven't been specially trained at managing pain. Did you try asking him for a referral? That often makes it easier to g...
I just moved from NYC to the Florida panhandled. I am having a difficult time finding a pain management doctor who will continue the meds I have been on for a broken back, failed spinal fusion. I take oxycondone and soma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My other choice is to fly back to NY. Many thanks ## You will probably need to fly back to New York for now. However after a reasonable amount of time your out of state providers might cut you off and tell you to find a Doctor in your area ## I know this is older but just in case you're still looking...Dr. David Norfleet in crestview. They take insurance. He has no bedside manner and honestly I don't like him BUT after the first visit you see the NP and she is WONDERFUL! Very caring! The office staff is beyond rude....
I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. I am 39 years old. I have 4 herniated discs and 3 slipped discs my pain is sometimes too the point I can't move.I took 10 mg. norco witch worked then I moved to Cincinnati Ohio and the doctor I found wanted me to take Methadone and I don't like it, I just want too go back to the Norco. Please help me find a Doctor that can just give me what I need. ## Hi, Amanda! I'm sorry you're having such problems. There are probably several issues at play here that are causing them. One is that due to the increasing rates being found of improper prescribing and over prescribing, general practitioners and surgeons are being transitioned away from prescribing medications like Norco for long-term pain management. An attempt is underway to transition those to only being used for short pe...
I am looking for a doctor who will continue my medication of oxycodone 4 times a day as well as xanex 2 times a day in the central jersey area! any help would be great! ## Hi Allison, I was actually able to locate a pain management doctor based out of Jersey City, if that's nearby where you mentioned? Xavier Aviles, M.D. 25 Birch Street Jersey City, New Jersey 07305 I don't know whether or not a pain management doctor would prescribe Xanax, as that is all based on their discretion. But PM doctor's will surely be able to prescribe narcotic pain medication to get the relief you need. I hope this helps! ## I have been going to a pain management clinic for 18 yrs. i take 120 mg of Oxycontin 3 times a day, plus 2 4 mg Dillard 4 times a day. and i still hurt all day. of course I...

Filed under Pain ReliefI just moved to delaware and am looking for a dr.that will continue my pain meds! I have done unhections n pt n found tht meds work beat for me. For people in TRUE NEED of pain meds it is very difficult to find help! And they wonder why people have to find them on the street?! I would never go that route bit i can understand ## HI Kimberly, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to...
Is there a good pain management doctor in Olympia, WA that will prescribe pills? ## Hello, Earnest! How are you? There are plenty of great pain management specialists in WA, but I can't say whether or not they will prescribe you anything. It depends on your condition, health, medical history and etc. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? Due to the new regulations that were put in place, doctors have to be careful about prescribing such medications and usually prefer to do so only as a last resort, after other options have failed. ## An 85 yr old lady in the Perth area of WA has pain in the knee and is looking fo...

How are you? Sorry about the problems that you're having. However, the days of any doctor prescribing stuff, without trying other non-narcotic options first are over. New regulations were put in place this year that makes it even harder for them. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would most likely be the fastest and easiest way to get the help you need. What problem did you have with the...
So my Pain doctor got shut down been going for 15yrs saw about 5 different docs in that span of time. Now I'm trying to find a new one and it's near impossible!! So I was not gonna be stupid and go into withdraws. So I went to a sub doc immediately. Got in right away and Ben on subutex for almost a month while I try and find a new pain doc and it's crazy with all the new laws and South Florida running dry of docs. I find myself not being accepted anywhere. I don't know what to do. A couple of places told me,over the phone theirs no way I. gonna get close to what I've been prescribed for 4 yrs plus now 120 30mg oxycodone IR'S and oxymorphone 30mg ER'S 60!! I'm finding the doctors I've been to are playing games with patients. So, now I'm looking for a new doctor. HELP! WHY---> I've had three surgeries on my arm. I just snapped it again from overuse. I pay to go to appointment. They take $500.00 in xrays- charge me - run my urine, run my labs, and say they can't write me a script? My arm is swollen red and I smell of bengay. Older and not looking for a high. just looking for a orthopedic, but can't get in for 3 weeks. I say - do i have to go to urgent care - You can or make another appointment - we don't usually prescribe meds?? I'm over 50, with a working wife, and I can't find a fricken pain pill?
