I suffer with extremely painful MS and have not been on regular opiods since September of 2012.My neurologist had me on up to seven oxycodone 15mg a day along with the fentanyl 50 patches. He left the area and I have been to multiple doctors and I just get passed around now. All I am on now is tramadol.... I just moved from NYC to the Florida panhandled. I am having a difficult time finding a pain management doctor who will continue the meds I have been on for a broken back, failed spinal fusion. I am a chronic back pain sufferer, relocated to Florida to live with my parents bc I lost my home from being unable to work bc of on the job injury that my employer won't take responsibility for. I was on 75 mg oxycodone in sc but my doctor here in Florida says that I cannot get but 60 mg a day unless I'm a cancer patient. This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!! As most of you here, I've been taking MS Contin 60 mg and Oxycodone IR for break through among other meds of course. I have had RSD/CRPS for 26 years and Lupus for about 5 years. I live in PA now and never really considered the ramifications of moving to a state with such pain med issues. I have a rare kind of polyneuropathy that affects my long nerves. I have had severe chronic pain for over 8 years. My pain doctor in Florida switched me from oxycontin to methadone because the oxycodone made it difficult to sleep.
