100+ Topics FoundI wanted to know if I can take mini thins while taking Synthroid. I have gained alot of weight since losing my throid and a nurse told me I could take the white ones with the cross on them. I just was wondering if it is something I should try being that she said it was safe to use and I can lose the weight with these. ## Hi, DeeDee! How are you doing? Mini Thins actually contain Ephedrine, which can be a very dangerous stimulant, if used improperly, mixed with some other medications or if taken with certain medical conditions. Thus, it's really not a good idea for her to be making a blanket statement that you can take it and it will help you lose weight. Learn more Ephedrine details here. Whether or not you can safely take it is something that should be double checked with your doct...
do mini thins expire? if they do, how long are they good for? ## to be more specific...in case people think im talking about crackers or something, mini thins are essentially speed, ingredients are caffeine and herb. it was pretty easy to sell stuff like this over the counter back in the 80s and early 90s. ## I am not certain about this exact product, but most supplements are usually stable for one year, after this time, they don't get dangerous but can lose effectiveness. Mini Thins can still be purchased online, they contain: Niacin, Caffeine, Synephrine (from bitter orange), Asian Ginseng, Ginger Root, Green Tea, Kola Nut, Rhodiola Rosea and Willow Bark. Was there anything else I can help you with?
I take a mini thin tablet everyday, but it seems as if i do i get more frustrated and more irritable. Should i stop taking them? I don't have time to exercise with two girls and i seem to have lack of energy. ## Hello, Bobbie! How are you? According to what I'm reading about them, they do act as a stimulant to aid in weight loss and increase energy. Pretty much anything that does that can cause side effects, such as what you've described. You may also experience nausea, headache and insomnia, as reported by the FDA. Many other users have said they experienced similar side effects. It might be best to talk to your doctor to see what you can take that may not cause such issues. Is there anything else I can help with? ## No thank you. I do not have a regular doctor as of now do...

Can I get mini thins here ## According to the manufacturer's website, Ephedrine mini thins are legal to buy, albeit with certain limitations (involving the dosage and/or number of packets being ordered at any given time). Ephedrine is a medication and stimulant.[5] It is often used to prevent low blood pressure during anesthesia.[5] It has also been used for asthma, narcolepsy, and obesity but is not the preferred treatment.[5] It is of unclear benefit in nasal congestion.[5] It can be taken by mouth or by injection into a muscle, vein, or just under the skin.[5] Onset with intravenous use is fast, while injection into a muscle can...
Used to get them at a truck stop just plane white mini crosses ## Hi Sweets, From what I could find online, the old mini thin's that were once available are no longer being manufactured. I believe this is due to the 25mgs of Ephedrine it contained. Apparently though, there is a newer version now which has been placed in a category of nutritional supplements that reportedly contains: 200mgs of Caffeine + 25mg Synephrine (a molecule that is said to be similar to Ephedrine in so far as how it works, but notably less potent) + a 30 mg blend of Ginseng, Kola Nut extract, Rhondiola Rosea root extract, and White Willow Bark extract. I haven't tried either of them, but some comments I found suggest that the new formula still works pretty well for it's indication. I hope this helps!
I FOUND SOME PILL IN A PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE LABELED ACETAMINOPHEN 500 MG DATED BACK IN 1992. THE PILLS ARE SMALL WHITE ROUND PILL WITH IMPRINT "MINI THIN" ON ONE SIDE AND NOTHING ON OTHER SIDE. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PILL THESE ARE? ## Hello, Based on my research, Mini-thin is an OTC stimulant usually containing ephedrine. It is a combination of 200mg caffeine, 25mg synephrine, and 30 mg of a blend of ginseng, kola nut extract, Rhondiola Rosea root extract, and white willow bark extract. Learn More: Ephedrine Details</a Please post back if you have any more questions or concerns. ## I was told that these were used for Asthmatic and Bronchial treatments, but for some people they were used as a weight loss treatment. I heard for some people they were used for spee...
As a teenage girl I was obviously self conscious about my body. I had been on dexamethasone twice before and the side effects were minimal. There was the increased appetite and the road rage. I had not gained weight or anything. My disorder pops up for a third time, this time quicker than ever, and once again I'm back on the roids. I figured this time I would try to change for the better. When I did have my increased appetite I ate healthy foods instead of fatty greasy things. I constantly drank water and did everything to prevent gaining weight. As the weeks gradually progressed I felt something different in my face. I felt a tight pressure and my skin tightening. It actually hurt to smile. One day it finally happened. I could not fit into my pants. One day I could and suddenly get...
My daughter Catherine (age 17), had an extreme case of Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (lasted over a year). We saw specialist at Nemours Children's hospital (Orlando, FL) and they recommend Xolair inj's. as a course of treatment. She has had 6 months of infusions. Although her hives are under control with the help of this medication, the side effects are a bit alarming. Each time she has the shots done, she becomes very confused, dizzy and lethargic. She has trouble remembering things and seems as though she's intoxicated (stumbling around). To the point where she is vomiting and unable to function normally. She has to stop life and just keep her eyes closed and rest. This lasts for 4 to 5 days. After the side effects wear off, she has told me she has shocks in her head (Brain...
Diets and restrictions seem to be all over the place. My feeling on Coumadin, is to keep my vitamin K level on the low side, because I'm not a consistent eater. I cannot rely on a consistent level of higher K. So I'm thinking a lower daily input of K means less change/difference because of a non-consistent diet. So far it's worked, I'm right where I need to be, my IRN(?), is steady. Well, my sister is all over my back, because I won't eat Blueberries or Spinach (I like both but seldom eat either) ... same goes with a few other foods. My doctor, has told me that I can eat all the green beans I want and I related this to my sister that he said green beans were almost a "freebie", no need to control amount. Well, my sister is certain that I'm going to kill m...
I am 69 yrs. I have prostat enlargement. Urine flow was restricted. Doctors advised urimaxd 4mg. For the last 1 yr ,I have been using. The urine flow has improved. So far no recognizable side effects expect for stoppage of discharge during intercourse. What steps should I take to avoid any side effects. ## Hi OAR, Unfortunately when it comes to any type of prescription medication, there is always the risk of possible side effects. That's just the nature of putting a "foreign" substance into your body. Some things you can do to help lessen your risk of 'certain' side effects, may involve simple things like eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, keeping low stress levels, staying hydrated, and maintaining positive thoughts throughout the day. Not all side effects can...
We think My female mini schnauzer ate 4 Sildenafil 20 mg. what should we do? ## Hello, Maria! How is your pup? Please contact your veterinarian. Even if she showed no signs of suffering any adverse issues, she could have caused some liver damage, or other organ damage that may require medical treatment. Is there anything else I can help with?
My cardiac catheterization showed "minor luminal irregularities" in lad, circumflex, ramus, with co-dominant coronary circulation. What does that mean? ## Minor luminal irregularities refers to an abnormal narrowing of the arteries of your heart, according to the AMA. Co-dominant refers to how your heart pumps blood, meaning it is using both of the proper ones, making neither major artery dominant. This is usually considered mild heart disease, due to the luminal irregularities. The term "lumen" refers to the inside space of a blood vessel through which blood flows. An irregularity in the lumen can mean a variety of things but often refers to changes in the shape or smoothness of the artery's interior surface. This could be due to the buildup of plaque, which is a co...
I've been having trouble starting on a low of synthroid to treat sub-clinical hypothyroidism (TSH ~3.5, no values for T4/T3) for fertility reasons. I'm 33, generally healthy, not overweight, exercise daily and eat a healthy diet. Admittedly, I have been under considerable stress for many years and need to keep working on stress management. First attempt: I initially started taking 25mcg. I've taken the medication first thing in the morning with a full glass of water, not eaten anything for 2 hours and not taken any vitamins/supplements at the same time. 2 days after starting this dose, I began to have a racing heart rate, felt panicky, was very flushed and emotionally labile (crying for no reason/fly off the handle, not my typical emotional state). These symptoms worsened fo...
Filed under SynthroidI have been taking this for almost 2 years. I started because of a major back injury in October 2010-my twin daughters were almost a year old, and have since discovered acupuncture-which is wonderful! I want to stop taking the Norco(I was prescribed 10 mg 4 times daily and took it all up until about 4 months ago when I began cutting it down to 3 a day). At the birth date of my girls I weighed 213-I had gained only 50 pounds, after I got hurt and started taking the Norco, I slowly gained weight until I was up to 218 lbs a couple of months ago. Now I weigh 205 after having started the acupuncture and changing my diet. I feel slovenly and like I am a slave to this drug-physically speaking. I still have major pain but am just sick of taking these things. I want to get off of these pills and...

I am on effient blood thinner after a heart stent placement. I was just prescribed efudex. will this increase the blood thinning effect ? ## If you're using it topically, the side effects are usually minimal. However, it would be best to double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Is your INR checked regularly?
So I came across this article about the Bridge Device. It's like a mini earpiece that goes behind the ear, and is used to fight withdraw symptoms from opioids. I think the device is 3-4 yrs. old. What I want to know is why are we not hearing more about this in the supposedly deadliest times with overdoses!!?? We all know this has been going on since the time of the movie Drug Store Cowboy(70's)? And even before that all thru time people have been OD'ing. It's just now with the internet, news and cell phones it's plastered all over to make it worse than it really is. Back to my question has ANYONE out there tryed this had this going to get it or had a friend or relative that used this device so we all can get a better understanding of it. Cause I find it hard to believ...
I think i suffer from hyperhydrosis. Why do i have high body odor for so long and how can i stop it? I am out of options ## It is hard to guess as to why you have this issue. Do you sweat a lot? Are you on any medications? What types of foods do you eat? Usually the odor can be minimized by engaged in good personal hygiene, such as bathing regular, and using antiperspirant/deodorant. Fresh sweat doesn't have an odor, so washing it off, before it can become stale and full of bacteria is a very important factor. ## I have been experiencing a bad odor coming from my nose for a couple of months and I don't know what kind of drug to take that will help me get rid of this sickness.
