I had a script written in mexico after i had my wisdom tooth pulled, I can't figure out what was in it besides 200mg of ibuprofen but there was 325mg of another drug. The pill was white and oblong with 'S1' on one side of the pill the other blank. It was perscribed to take one every 8 to 12 hours for pain. I'm just curious to know what it was and what else was in it.

Prestodol -- this is a prescription drug I got in Mexico after dental work. It is made by Rayera (the logo is a capital R in a square circle). And under Prestodol it reads Clonixinato de Lisina. I am wondering if this is an antibiotic as that is what the dentist wanted me to take for the removal of a tooth. I live a long way from Mexico and can't go back to check. If you could help, I'd really appreciate it. ## According to spanish Wikipedia, Clonixinato de lisina is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which is used for pain relief [1]. Available in doses of either 125 or 250 mg. It did not say anything about it being an antibiotic. Sounds like the dentist simply gave you these to help with pain. I have a infection under an old root canal. Dentist sent me to Endo who opened the tooth redid the root canal packed it and gave my amoxicillin 500x3 day. Pain the next day was so bad I went back to Endo and he took out the packing to let it drain. Went back two days later and he repacked the tooth. The packing fell out the same day and I had to leave the country for two weeks. I am scheduled to see a Endo when I get back to fill the root canal, I am now a week in and in Mexico and can’t bite without severe pain.
