methycobal 500, is it a drug ? It is use for what purpose? ## It is actually Methylcobalamin and it is a form of vitamin b12. It is taken for vitamin b12 deficiency. There are other forms of Vitamin B12 as well, such as a form called Cyanocobalamin, but Methylcobalamin B12 is by far the most superior form of vitamin b12. ## I am a gastro paisant with deficiency of vitamin B12.
