My BP is always around 120/80 and 130/80 when i used to take Stamlobeta for the past 30 years. Ever since my physician changed this drug to Met XL T 50, my BP levels have never comedown to the earlier levels. Though i do not have symptoms, whenever i check my bp it was showing around 150/90 or 160/90. When asked my doc he said i should continue with the same medicine. Will there be any improvement if i take stamlo 5 mg in addition to this Met XL T 50, of course with the consultation of my physician. I USED TO TAKE STAMLO BETA ONCE DAILY FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BOUT OF HIGH PRESSURE SO DOCTOR PRESCRIBED METOLAR XR 50 (ONCE), AND LOSAR 10 (TWICE). ON FURTHER CHECKUP HE FOUND MY BP AS 160/90 SO HE ADDED MINIPRES 5. I AM SO CONFUSED. SHOULD I TAKE ALL THESE?

Hi, I am 35.2 yr male & suffering from kidney diesease(creatine level 1.6,urea 33) due to that got high BP since yr sep-2007.Till then I am continue on medications. I was well in control with medicines Lasix 40Mg(1-0-0) ,Telsartan R5(1-0-1), Metstamlo 50/5(1-0-1) from sep2007 to june2010.Later, in yr 2012, Telsartan R5 replaced with Telma R5 and metstamlo stopped and instead Febuget 40 started for uric acid control. In june 2013 during routine check up got potassium level high (>6), then doc advised to stop Telma R5 as well.
