Also prednisone 10 mgs What other meds help with this problem ? ## Hi Binny, What type of pain are you dealing with exactly? Just general pain, or pain from arthritis? If you're able to give me more detail, I can definitely do some research and look at the other options you have. Until then, I would like to recommend acupuncture and essential oils. There are studies that can prove the accuracy of both those methods for pain. I've personally had acupuncture performed on a painful nerve in my foot and it helped tremendously. Essential oils are also beneficial in conjunction with massage therapy. I'll post a link to a page that provides information about certain oils used for pain...

Is there any organization in TN that will help with my cancer medications like Dilaudid and MS Conton ? ## These are both narcotic pain medications, so finding assistance for these types can be difficult. Do you have prescription insurance? If not, then you may want to ask your doctor about switching to the new Hydromorphone medication on the market that's called Exalgo, rather than the Dilaudid. There is an assistance program for it for uninsured patients and you can get more information and an application by calling 800-259-7765, option 2. If you're unfamiliar with it, you can read more Dilaudid details here. However, I'm sorry to inform you that there isn't one available for the MS Contin, since it is also available as a generic and therefore can already be obtained f...
I took this medication for 2 days and stopped it, I had broken out with a very red rash on my leg, and didn't get any new meds for my cold, is there a problem stopping . ## This is a generic for Augmentin, it is an antibiotic and it will not do anything to treat a cold, since colds are caused by viruses and antibiotics are not effective against them. You can learn more Augmentin details here. And that rash could be the sign of an allergic reaction to this medication. You should consult your doctor to be certain, because it may be something that you have to avoid taking in the future. Is there anything else I can help with?
Recently my mentally ill mother told off her case worker and in retaliation my mother was told in order to get her meds NOW she will have to go to a partial care program or she won't get her psy meds no more, which she never had to do in the last four years, it feels like blackmail and extortion in a way what can I do my mom is really mentally ill and last time she was off her meds she heard voices and pulled a rack with a TV on herself and had to go to the hospital ## Who is forcing her to do this to get her meds? The insurance company, the Doctor, the State? You said she went off on her case worker? What exactly is she taking, if you don't mind me asking? It's not blackmail or extortion per se because no doctor anywhere is obligated to accept or continue seeing patients, l...

What specific sulfa drug or drugs have you had a reaction to? While many blood pressure medications are related, not everyone that is allergic to a sulfa drug, such as Bactrim, is also allergic to all the rest. I am a good example of that. I had a very bad reaction to Bactrim several years ago, but I am fine with blood pressure and cardiac medications. What blood pressure medications have you tried? The FDA lists the symptoms of an allergic reaction as possibly including swelling, trouble breathing, hives, itchy rash and angioedema. ## Diovan hct, zebeta, hyzaar, bystolic, cardizem, I can ...
I was given 50 mg. of Demerol and 4 mg. of Dilaudid for a headache. I have had many meds before for migraines but I was disoriented for three days and my skin was crawling and I was so weak, is that a high dosages at once? ## That would be my guess, the Dilaudid was too strong for you to jump right to it. It is a very strong narcotic, hydromorphone, that is why it is only 4mgs, it is very potent. If you aren't already tolerant to narcotics, then jumping to that dose will cause the problems you were having, as well as some withdrawals if you took a few and then quit taking it altogether. There are other alternatives that you can try, so rather than live with the adverse effects, talk to your doctor about maybe just trying to Demerol for awhile, or Percocet, Vicodin, something like th...

I am 47 years old and have been taking blood pressure medication for five years - i think it is congenital. Was taking indapamide combined with bilocor and had pretty awful 'flutters' which frighted me. Doc changed meds to bilocor and Diolo - body did not like Diolo whatsoever and so changed it after 6 days. Now taking Bilocor and Perin dopril 2. One of the side effects i notice with the Diolo was rapid weight gain around the waist and a bloated face. The face side is now reducing but not gone completely back to normal and the weight around the waist is still huge!! I have only been on Perindopril now for 3 days and am asking, do you think this weight gain will subside in time? Definitely not normal. Am feeling much better on the perindopril compared to the diolo, although am st...
