ispaghula, when combined with lactitol then it looses its sticky nature in presence of water. is it true? ## yes , when lactitol and ishgula husk is combined in powder form, ishgula looses its sticky nature and suspention is formed for immidiate use / drink. Try. it gives good flavaour and palatability.

my mother is diabetes n she gets constipation can she take LACTITOL MONOHYDRATE that is torbulk.she doesnt want to take it as it is sweet does it lead to diabetes. ## Hi gels, From what I've researched, Lactitol can be used to treat chronic constipation. And further digging led me to details implying that Lactitol may actually be beneficial for people with diabetes, since it carries a low glycemic index and hasn't been reported to affect blood glucose/insulin levels. The only contraindication I found is for those patients who are hypersensitive to Lactitol or any of the inactive ingredients that might be added to it. I hope this helps!

If you use the Encelax for that reason, have you ever considered trying some OTC brands such as Dulcolax or Senna-S (natural vegetable laxative tablets? Those brands are carried at Walgreens online and CVS. Please post back if you need further assistance!

My wife was supposed to take 15 g /dose (one spoon)of lactitol monhydrate in isabghula. My mistake, she took 30g (2 spoon) per dose. Is it harmful? She is chronic constipation patient. ## Dont worry. Absolutely no issue.
